Amerigas has moved to a nation wide call system that has TERRIBLE customer service. Customers able to contact the San Marcus office by phone, they do not read or follow their customer's requests and instructions for delivery. They do NOT call ahead the day of delivery notifying when they will arrive, they only provide a 1 week window of delivery date. TERRIBLE!!!

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! I moved out of my property in October 2023. I left 62% propane in my tank. I couldn't get anyone to lock the tank, read the remaining balance, or pick up the tank. Now, I'm calling every week to get my refund and getting the run around. All calls are outsourced, there is no office to go to, and it's a nightmare. At all costs, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Even when we were on the property, when we called to set up a delivery they would say yes to the date and no one ever showed up. The experience was terrible. The outsourcing of calls was when our customer experience went out the door.

Terrible. No phone response.massive delivery delays. Non English speaking agents in the Philippines.,! Hour delay for supervisor. Ferrel gas is 5 stars. You do not deserve half a star

Rep sounds like he's in India or Pakistan, & doesn't know basic math. I told him the current capacity in gallons, and the total capacity of my tank. 288 capacity, 87 remained, and somehow it meant to him zero percent, no matter how many times I asked him what planet was on. He insisted on charging me a ridiculous amount of money for a leak test

Edit: They just keep lying! They said someone would contact me and until today no one has!If I could give Amerigas 0 stars I would!!!! They suck, they are extremely rude and dont care about their customers. We purchased our home during the winter time. It was our first time ever dealing with a propane fueled home. We called them out to service us, they came out and they refused because of where the tank was installed. Funny thing is, they installed it themselves for the previous owner! We went almost 2 months without propane in our home. Struggling to cook and to have a decent hot shower, etc. They didnt care and completely ignored us. We called them to come remove their old rusty tank from our property because we hired a good company that actually helped us out. Well about 4 months passed by and they never came out or even called us. We had to call back telling them they had to remove their hazardous old tank from here because we have small children. They finally came out to take it, they never told us we were going to get billed over $260 for a tank they refused to service and belonged to them. They had my card info from the beginning when we called them out to service us and thats how they stole our money without any notice. They are thieves above it all. I strongly recommend going with local company's that actually care about their customers and take care if their business well. Horrible experience with Amerigas

Excellent installation/hook up customer service at our new house build.How Amerigas should have been up front with the total cost of installation of tank and hook up. All that was told us was the rental cost of the tank (which was reasonable), but nearly $1600 to install a 250 gal tank plus cost of the propane was extremely a big unwelcome surprise.

Your billing has been a nightmare for now the third year in a row. We are on a contracted rate and your system refuses to pickup and rate our account properly. You have shutoff service now twice in the past two years. All because your system and people don't know what to do!Miserable experience working with your company. We are a wholesale nursery located in Vista, Ca. My bookkeeper has spent more time than the value of the bills trying to work with your people to get this straight. Perry

AmeriGas has been the worst company I have ever dealt with. If there was another option for gas in our home, I would switch to a different company. Unfortunately, I am stuck with their services for now.Since the two years of being with them, there has been issues from the beginning. Delays upon installing gas & high fluctuations in monthly bills which doesn't make sense at all.When I call customer service to inquiry about this, representatives will put me on hold and leave me there. Terrible customer service experience and impossible to get through to management who actually cares and wants the best for their customers.

I'm on hold as we speak 22 mins trying to cancel Amerilock enrollment fee. 128 bucks to get price locked in at a certain price. I had it 3 years ago and canceled it 2 years ago. They keep sending me bills even tho I canceled 2 times before. This guy Ryan has had me waiting now 25 mins. I'm asking for confirmation email, and they delaying and messing with me, cuz I asked before for one and never got it. I hope there's a class action law suit with this company. They're drivers are nice, but since they left San Marcos, your dealing with someone in india now. Such a bad service. I wish I had gas and not propane. 27 mins waiting, he's never coming back..geez 30 mins..i'm done! Never got a confirmation email. Such a terrible Company.

Oh wow where do I start.... First, I'm on automatic refill so that I won't have to worry about it but they actually let me run out so no hot water... nothing...Then they asked if I'll be home when they come, not telling me why other then needing my dogs put away. I came back and they put some kind of lock on it so I couldn't use it..!!!! It seems I needed to be home for safety reasons but no one told me! The thing is... someone was home, it just wasn't me!!! Then I'm already fuming and they said it would be 3 days until they could come back to unlock it. No excuse for this! The only good from this is 1) after calling many people to complain I finally found the right one who at least gave me a nice discount and 2) as soon as I have time, I'm going to leave and find another place to get propane from!
