Extremely friendly staff. Young man working on 3/14 around 11 was extremely kind and helpful. Great new staff.

Rude, RUDE. My husband and I are both disabled, and have a difficult time walking around. We asked the cashier where a certain product was (her name was something like Gracie? Wearing a long skirt, black hair in a ponytail) so that we could more easily maneuver the aisles. She was NOT nice at all. We ended up needing to ask the pharmacy staff, and found it ourselves. Pharmacy staff was much more friendly. Once we went to the checkout counter, the rudeness just elevated. RUDE. Who would hire a person like that. She made us feel bad for even asking for accommodations, or where certain products were. I'll never come back to this Rite Aid, the employees (or maybe just THIS employee) are beyond rude, and so unprofessional. I don't know what's going on at this store, but get a new staff, and train them to be more appropriate!

Terribly rude pharmacy staff. Looking at these past reviews I don't see why Rite Aid hasn't done anything about this. I've waited over an hour and a half for an easy prescription that had already been sent to them by my doctor. The rude pharmacist kept telling me 30 more minutes, and was very snappy. The store was completely empty. I will never be back, I have other pharmacy options that are just as convenient and better ran. I assure you, it's better to go to a pharmacy that's out of your way.. unless you don't mind losing hours out of your day.

The cashier was extremely rude. My friend and I were getting groceries for the weekend and she was just taking me there. We checked out separately and my friend got alcohol (she is 21) and the cashier would not let her check out because I did not have my ID. I understand if we payed together but it was totally different cashier stands. She did not have to be so evil about the situation and continued to tell us not to come back. I feel disrespected and violated.

Daughter went to get a prescription filled for antibiotics for strep. Waited over an hour then asked at counter and was told that they did not have her information even though they had her insurance card and prescription but then said it had not been entered into their system. She waited another hour before approaching the counter again and was told rudely by the woman working that she needed to sit down and wait. My daughter reminded her she was contagious with strep while sitting in their store for over two hours. Not to mention she feels miserable. Won't be back or recommend to any other Cal Poly families to go to this Rite Aid Pharmacy.

The pharmacist was extremely rude and not helpful. Several times tried to reach pharmacy and no answer and call rerouted. When I called the front of the store and asked to speak to the manager, woman was dismissive and cold saying, "he is not available". If the staff is overworked, understaffed and overwhelmed, there is no need to take it out on customers; myself and my 18 year old daughter included. Definitely taking business elsewhere. Now I totally understand why this Rite Aid has a 2 star rating. I think 1 star or zero would be more suitable.

Pharmacy here is horrible. Tried to come in and get a Covid booster. I've been here for the initial J&J and one booster. 2nd booster was approved for people that had two already and are immunocompromised, which I am. They told me they don't do J&J. I let them know I had been there twice for it and it was the option to choose in the menu when making an appointment on the website. Pharmacist says aggressively "I'm not going to fight you on it". So I walked out. Horrible experience and they pushed me to not get a booster.

Well...I normally wouldn't do this kind of post especially because it's regarding a $3 purchase, but I am so grossed out haha! Just took my son to get ice cream and the lady scooping the ice cream had a nasty cough and was coughing while scooping the people before us ice cream. We should have left but I was like "maybe it was just clearing her throat" or whatever...then for us she scooped a little bit onto his cone and then literally coughed ON the ice cream then put another scoop over that... It was wild. She went from the cash register straight over to the ice cream bar and I didn't see her do any sort of sanitizing situation and was (I think) wearing the same plastic gloves she had on at the register?? Anyways, she was not rude to us but was slamming around the ice cream bins and seemed like she maybe needed a day off. :( we took the ice cream but then I just tossed it out (my son already ate some while I was getting my ice cream Scooped...) because I didn't want us to eat ice cream that was coughed on...my son was crying and didn't understand because he's 4 so it was not a great moment, haha. So this is awkward but this level of service is pretty wild considering the last couple years and just sanitation in general while dealing with food. I hope this corporation offers paid sick leave so that this doesn't continue :( super gross.

Tried to get a prescription from here, whatever you do don't do it, the prescription has been received by them for 36 hours and they still have yet to fill it. i have been in three times and each time they say it will be ready in an hour. They clearly have no communication between employs have poor management and are just generally bad at there job. I was promised it would be ready the morning after and when I come in they can't find the prescription all together. avoid this pharmacy.

S*** service. S*** pharmacy. Waited since 10am to get a prescription filled and even went to the store twice just to get turned away only to find out at 5pm, after numerous phone calls, that they didn't have my prescription available at the store. Why would you not just tell me this right away? I needed this prescription in order to go to work and now I have to waste further time. On top of all this the pharmacists are rude as hell and a simple question is taken as a personal insult to them as it's met with nothing but attitude and disrespect. Reading the other reviews, this seems to be a common trend and perhaps a value that is rewarded here. Don't waste your time at this Rite Aid.

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. I'd give zero stars if I could. Agreed with all the other reviews about the poor customer service. The lady was rude to me when I wanted to buy a COVID rapid test. It's fine if you can only sell one per customer, lady - you don't have to yell at me about it. Secondly, it's one thing to be rude to customers. But she was also berating her co-worker - in front of customers. Skip this pharmacy and go somewhere else - there's plenty of other options in SLO!

Ice cream 5 stars The fact that they donate money from your card WITHOUT asking you is a robbery!!! Did you know this? I'm all for donations-- when you choose... but don't feel it's right for them to ask and out people on the spot- that's kind of solicitation, but literally charging you without asking you (see bottom of receipt after tax) is illegal!?! How did I find out? I was buying a drink. It said 2 for 2.00. She charged me 3.00. I asked her why. She said to put in my "wellness card" phone number. I did. Then she still charged me 3.00! I looked at the receipt, confused, and noticed it added .72 cents to my purchase- to "Kids cents." So I found out they have a class action suit against them for this.... Rounding up your charges after tax whenever you use the wellness card? And I'm assuming, that hopefully there is a superfineprint clause when you sign up mentioning that you're signing up for this every time you think you're putting in your number. Very strange and very deceptive- I would trust the company so much more if they just had an area you could drop money in or a sign mentioning you can donate.... But no matter what. This is WRONG!
