Do not shop here. Management has no skills or training, and they mistreat their employees terribly by yelling at them, blaming them for their own mistakes, cutting hours with no notice, changing their schedules without communicating to them, and being blatantly racist, and certainly not protecting their employees from the racism coming from patrons. There is an insane amount of waste and corruption. Not a business to support in any way. Shop anywhere else, there are plenty of better options.

A lot of staff in this store are friendly but the deli staff are lazy and rude. A number of times I’ve been ignored while waiting, twice recently I have waited and then left without ordering. Like yesterday when the only man bothering to serve finished with a customer, turned his back to where I was standing and proceeded to look at his phone. After a minute or so I said “excuse me”. He replied “yes?” without lifting his eyes from his phone or turning to face me. In his own time he turned and asked what I wanted. It was remarkably unfriendly and unenthusiastic so I said “never mind” and left the store. If staff are this unenthused it doesn’t give me faith in the quality & hygiene of the counter food and I will not try again. Another lady stood there and did nothing. I saw nobody who looked managerial. Wholefoods is a better deli experience with chatty staff.

It’s not Vons fault that all their staff is elderly SEIU Union. The service is horrible. Management is no where to be found. What’s going on here. I was in line and the lady said she was closed and there were no more open lanes. So another lady reluctantly changed lanes and opened up.
I go to the meat counter and there is no one at all there, same with the Deli. I guess they just don’t have any competition. This place is awful.

I have actually enjoyed using Von's for a while. Their people are kind, good selection . But I chose to have groceries delivered. It is more convenient for me, with my busy lifestyle. But recently they delivered my groceries to the wrong address. I know this because the deliverer sent a photo of where they delivered my order- and it was not my address. And it was for $139.00- so no small order. Unfortunately, they have decided NOT to refund my purchase. They say they will- someday, but keep stalling. It is O.K. - I am done. In addition, when I asked them to just replace my groceries- I would even PAY FOR the same order- they completely screwed up that as well. So- I am done with Von's. No one can afford repeated screw ups ( yes, this happened before- the driver's keep dropping the order in the West part of the street, not East- IN SPITE OF SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS WHERE TO GO.).

Hello VONS Manager, I visited your store yesterday evening, and I encountered an unpleasant experience while seeking assistance. I approached a clerk, possibly named Justin or Dustin, a gentleman with long hair, a heavy beard, and glasses. Unfortunately, I cannot recall his exact name. When I asked for help in obtaining a shopping cart, this individual responded rudely. He displayed anger and frustration, throwing a fit and complaining loudly to both other customers and over his radio about having to assist me. This incident was quite disturbing, and I felt a sense of fear due to his extreme reaction. As an elderly woman who occasionally requires assistance in the store, I believe this employee could benefit from additional training to cultivate a more courteous and helpful demeanor towards customers in need. The remodeling is nice but it seems more aisles are now in the same floor space. Feels cramped. I also regret seeing that they no longer have a section dedicated to local products. The local products they still carry, fewer than before, are now dispersed throughout the store. All in all, though, it’s a better option than the other big box grocery stores.
