“I recently hosted my twins' 5th birthday party at Legacy Training Center, and I cannot recommend them enough! If you are looking for a venue that makes the entire process seamless, this is it.

The Highlights:
• Wonderful Staff: From the moment we arrived, the team was incredible. They were high-energy, attentive, and kept a large group of 5-year-olds completely engaged and entertained the entire time.
• Full-Service Support: I was blown away by how helpful they were with the logistics. They jumped right in to help us decorate and set up, and their help with the breakdown after the party was a total lifesaver.
• Stress-Free Experience: As a parent, being able to actually enjoy the party instead of
managing every minute of it is rare. The staff handled everything so well that the experience was easy and entirely stress-free for me.

“Higuera Ranch is everything you could possibly dream of for an event. It's a perfectly maintained set of gorgeous homes for people to stay on-site and incredible grounds including a stunning vineyard, Higuera tree and barn. We did a small (micro) wedding on the property, including rehearsal in the barn, ceremony under the tree and reception outside. And a bonus pool party for friends and family to gather from afar before the festivities kicked off. It was all spectacular! I couldn't say more about the property, owner (who is an amazing human being - super helpful and supportive) and overall experience. It was a dream wedding & magical weekend. The venue would also be perfect for family reunions, gatherings for friends, or other small events. Most of our wedding party is already making plans to return - it's that amazing!”

“We were married at Greengate in May of 2026. It was literally a magical experience. Jena is professional, kind, understanding, and was really helpful with everything we needed. She manages Greengate meticulously so that the property was kept to the highest standards. We stayed from Tuesday-Monday the week of our wedding and there are always people on the ranch working to maintain the property. We LOVED the facilities. The pool and hot tub are large and heated to a very lovely temperature. Our vendors love Greengate because of the lovely catering accommodations and ease of use of the facilities and event spaces. Jena was also kind enough to give us a 20% off of our next stay and we will DEFINITELY be back!”

“Beautifully curated botanical garden and additional children's/kitchen garden. Also, sizeable hiking trails behind the gardens that expands into the future garden plans. The several trails include lovely vistas of the San Luis Obispo area and several of the Nine Sisters (ancient volcanoes).”

“This place is a little gem in San Luis Obispo, right across the street from Cuesta College on HWY 1. If you have children I would definitely recommend the children’s garden there. Sometimes they have free events, like the Free Family Day on Sundays once a month. They also have yoga, jewelry making, and photography classes…and so much more! Check out the website slobg.org. SLO isn’t a huge city and their botanical garden is quite modest, don’t go expecting a freaking butterfly preserve or a super bloom. It’s in beginning stages of becoming a big beautiful botanical garden like one would see in a larger city.”

“We recently stayed at SLO Brew Lofts for our wedding weekend at The Carrisa (right downstairs!), and it was the perfect home base for our celebrations. While the price tag might give you a pause, let me tell you, it's absolutely worth it!

Here's why SLO Brew Lofts stole a piece of our hearts:

Boutique Charm: The vibe is undeniably chic and boho, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. It felt like a luxurious stay in a friend's stylish apartment.
Cleanliness A+: The loft was spotless and beautifully maintained. It felt fresh and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day of wedding festivities.
Convenience King: Location, location, location! Being right next door to The Carrisa was incredibly convenient, especially for those last-minute touches. Plus, exploring downtown SLO was a breeze.
Parking Solved (Almost): Street parking can be tricky, but SLO Brew Lofts provides complimentary parking passes, taking the stress out of finding a spot.
Stacia Saves the Day: Huge shoutout to Stacia, the property manager! When we accidentally locked ourselves on the rooftop (don't ask!), Stacia answered our call immediately and helped us out in a flash. Now that's top-notch service!

“The employees at the Sands Inn and Suites really go out of their way to ensure that your stay is comfortable. I was by the pool watching my son swimming, and the assistant manager noticed that I was shielding my eyes and asked me if I would like her to bring the umbrella over to me. I didn't need it, but it was genuinely touching that someone would offer. The pool and hot tub area have lots of seating and is clean and spacious. I want to express why I rated the room a 4/5 and it was due to the layout of the room rather than the employees, who are very obliging. The room has a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker inside and the way in which they were positioned meant you had to move everything over to be able to plug them in to the outlet due to the length of the cords. I would recommend a rolling bar cart be provided or something similar so that this isn't too much of a struggle for a guest. The linens were clean and the toiletries provided were lightly fragranced and effective meaning that the shampoo was cleansing and the conditioner softening. The provided morning breakfast consisted of coffee, juices, toast/bagels, sauces/spreads, eggs, sausages and cereals. It was well presented and there's plenty of seating. There was an audible sound of disappointment when other guests found out the waffle maker wasn't working, but hopefully that can be fixed soon. The location is just a few blocks away from downtown. Easily accessible with Uber, taxi, local transport or walking and there are a lot of dining options close by.”
