Dr Emily has been our vet for many years and I love her calm and confident approach. Recently worked with Dr Yordanov who recommended inpatient treatment after diagnosing our new rescue pony at home with severe sand colic. The facility is the perfect place if my ponies need higher level of treatment. Both vets are professional and encouraging allaying my fears and answering all my questions. They provide prompt care and have lots of experience.

Dr. Yordanov is the best. He puts up with my fussy Arab (and my family) with exceeding amounts of patience and professionalism. Give the man a medal.

This facility is by and far the best horse boarding facility I have been to on the Central Coast of California. It is not only clean it smells clean! The care and consideration all of the horses are given, here, is held to the highest standard by ALL cohorts and stakeholders involved in their care. From being fed three times a day to whatever individual services are required - per horse.Walking through the barns, the paddocks, and around the property, one will find calm happy horses. Even in shared paddocks the horses are happy and maintain their herd mentality. That says a lot to me on many levels.

I brought my brown mare Brownie here when she started showing symptoms of distress. The Equine Center took her in same day and kept me up to date throughout her entire treatment. They were also accepting of the fact that I was price conscientious. Their staff truly cares.

On April 12th, 2021, I took my horse to The Equine Center to get a few of his top teeth extracted. Dr. Emily Bardo was the veterinarian. After several sedations and numbing shots and then being under for an hour and a half, my horse started having seizures. She then gave him valium and he died. After his death, Dr. Bardo mentioned, "sometimes this happens with older horses." But she never mentioned any risks prior to the procedure, nor gave me anything written about the risks. Knowing there was a possible fatal risk, I would never have had this procedure done with Dr. Bardo at The Equine Center.

I had extremely good communication from both of the vets, and all of the support staff, who helped me.

It appeared to be a well kept facility, from what I had seen of it. I was only there by chance, helping out a customer get back into her truck after her dog locked them out of it by standing on armrest and activating lock mechanism. Only took me a minute to open up truck to recover keys for customer.

I had really good communication and care from the doctors and support staff. I had a frustrating situation and the doctors guided treatment with care for the horse and me. The reception staff are professional and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Staff is amazing. So thankful for Dr. Bardo & Vasil for all of their help. I was given a horse after he came up pretty lame during a PPE by Dr. Bardo. Dr. Bardo was so thorough and great with explaining things. The horses owner couldn't afford further testing or treatment so she gave him to me. I live in No. SLO County and thought I'd call the morning I was going to pick the horse up to see if I could get him in for radiographs that afternoon after picking him up since he was just minutes away from their facility. They got me in and were SO accommodating. They did several X-rays that show navicular abnormalities which are concerning but Vasil came up with a game plan for my horse including a course of treatment to start off with and then laid out the plan if each course of treatment wasn't effective. He gave me hope that we can get my new horse sound again. I am SO thankful to have their help. I highly recommend The Equine Center.

When one has been in the equine industry long enough - in my case all of my life - one has come across many types of vets with varying degrees of expertise. It has been my extreme joy to have met Dr. Bardo at The Equine Center. Dr. Bardo pulled my 35 year old, half-Arab gelding through an advanced 'choke' with the greatest of care and utmost professionlism. Dr. Bardo's professional expertise was clear, concise, and expeditious. All the while comforting Indy and relaxing my anxiety. Indy and his pasture mate are now on the boarding side of The Equine Center. Where they will remain for as long as I live in the SLO area. Thank you, to Dr. Bardo and the staff at TEC.

Dr Yordanov did an amazing job with my horse who had inflicted himself a terrible 12 inch deep 20 inch wide laceration at the junction of his leg and body. Dr Yordanov cared for him for over five weeks. He is patient, has excellent communication skills and showed great compassion. I highly recommend this facility and their doctors.

Dr. Bardo saved my 33 year old geldings life! He had a 'choke' and she worked tirelessly to clear his esophagus of the debris causing the choke. Dr. Bardo conducted herself in a calm, professional manner, explaining the process every step of the way. Indy, was the perfect patient and showed his gratitude in being the wonderful horse that he is. The after care was exemplary. I am blessed to have more time with Indy due to the expert care he received amduring his stay at The Equine Center.
