The team at Smith Volvo were great, particularly the salesman Brendan and Rob in finance. They gave me an awesome deal on their demo C40 Recharge Ultimate, I didn't feel any pressure, and they were very professional and nice throughout the entire deal.I moved from NY and had trouble getting insurance due to the 14 day waiting period in CA and had to delay delivery. Rob was happy to mail me paperwork and hold the car for me. I ended up sorting out insurance a few days later and picked up the car yesterday. In and out in under 45 minutes and well worth the 3 hour drive up from LA to get it from them - a very refreshing car dealer experience!Thanks guys!

My wife's new XC40 started giving us problems just sitting in the driveway at our second home in Cambria, CA. We purchased the vehicle in Pasadena, CA. We had it towed to Smith Volvo for warranty repairs. Mike in the service department contacted my wife and let her know that he was addressing the issue. The vehicle was eventually repaired and tested by the service department but the best part of the experience was the continued communication from Mike who assured my wife that they were taking care of the problem. When it comes to a vehicle in need of repair, communication with the customer is paramount to ensuring that they have confidence in the vehicle after the repairs are completed. Well done Mike!!!

I am updating my post for Smith Volvo. After speaking with service manager, the dealer is honoring my request to fix compressor with a low cost to me . They are also extending my warranty. I appreciate the professionalism in handling this for me. When a business values their customers it means a lot. Thank you to David Perez.

Service Department was great. They were able to get me scheduled quickly and took care of the maintenance in addition to a couple of recall items. Really professional team overall. Very pleased with the service team, will definitely bring the car back for future service needs. A wonderful experience.

Battery was showing low battery. Diagnosis revealed a voltage draw in thermostat. $145 part $700 labor. Service took 2 1/2 hours. So shop fee is $300 per hour. That seems more than excessive. I will be looking for service alternatives for my Volvo in the future

The detail shop, managed and run by Graham Sigman, saved me over $5000 in body work.. Other body shops had told me the work that I needed done could not be done and that many of the parts that I needed should be replaced. Graham told me otherwise.. His enthusiasm and professionalism was very reassuring . I have a 2015 Porsche Macon. He did a fantastic job. He brought it back to close to studio guality appearance. My wife purchased a 2021 Volvo XC60.. We are also very happy with our relationship with the sales team at Smith Volvo.

I'm don't exactly remember how I found Tim Bauerle at Smith Volvo in the Parts Department out there, but I know I'm glad I did. I'm out on the East Coast and not able to get parts overnight after 3pm, but Tim always finds a way to make it happen! In 10 years of dealing with him, he's never let me down. He never fails to email me an invoice and then update me with tracking the next day too. Always happy to help and always comes through! Thank you for everything!

This morning (1/17/22) I dropped off my Volvo V60 with David Perez the Service Manager at Smith Volvo, and I just wanted to extend my sincere gratitude for his extremely courteous and expeditious service provided in replacing the battery. I reside in Santa Barbara and had to travel just under 100 miles to get a Volvo battery as the car has a CPO extended warranty. Owning a Volvo these days for me can be a logistical challenge in CA with the closest dealers now being nearly 200 miles apart. Notwithstanding it's the service that the dealer provides that defines brand loyalty, and with the recent permanent closure of Volvo Calabasas (my prior Volvo servicing dealer) David stepping in at a moment notice to resolve this while I waited is truly appreciated. My wife predominately uses the car, is a teacher, and suffice to say cannot afford to be left stranded due to the potentially of a non-operational battery. Volvo prides itself on safety, and David exuded the same care and understanding of the broader potential implications, and turning the battery replacement around and getting me back on the road in a hour is superb. Brilliant service, thank you David, and for ensuring my continue confidence in the Volvo brand.

Smith Volvo in SLO has always been exceptional in the quality service that they provide. I visited another Volvo service department 7 times for service and my car was still acting funny. So I decided to drive North to visit Smith Volvo SLO and the difference between the two locations is like night and day. SLO had my car issue fixed within 1.5 hours of arrival. I spoke to David to make my appointment and he was very pleasant on the phone and put me in the schedule. I saw Mike upon arrival and he was very kind and informative. Both David and Mike were exceptional and made sure my car was fixed prior to my departure from their location. I will make sure I choose this location for all of my car needs as they have always been nothing but pleasant.

I recently purchased a 2008 Volvo S80 3.2L for my son and with all used cars, you will need to replace quite a few parts to get it fully road-ready for a new driver. Unfortunately, my first thought was to go to eBay. Meh..... Just finding if it's the correct part is a joke. I then found Tim B. at Smith Volvo and from here forward I am purchasing everything I need for the S80 from them. A simple little purchase I had made had more communication and customer service than I had with the actual car purchase itself. True professionalism here. Please keep it up, it's so hard nowadays finding a company that still cares about customer service. Thank you!!
