The team at Smith Volvo were great, particularly the salesman Brendan and Rob in finance. They gave me an awesome deal on their demo C40 Recharge Ultimate, I didn't feel any pressure, and they were very professional and nice throughout the entire deal.I moved from NY and had trouble getting insurance due to the 14 day waiting period in CA and had to delay delivery. Rob was happy to mail me paperwork and hold the car for me. I ended up sorting out insurance a few days later and picked up the car yesterday. In and out in under 45 minutes and well worth the 3 hour drive up from LA to get it from them - a very refreshing car dealer experience!Thanks guys!

My wife's new XC40 started giving us problems just sitting in the driveway at our second home in Cambria, CA. We purchased the vehicle in Pasadena, CA. We had it towed to Smith Volvo for warranty repairs. Mike in the service department contacted my wife and let her know that he was addressing the issue. The vehicle was eventually repaired and tested by the service department but the best part of the experience was the continued communication from Mike who assured my wife that they were taking care of the problem. When it comes to a vehicle in need of repair, communication with the customer is paramount to ensuring that they have confidence in the vehicle after the repairs are completed. Well done Mike!!!

I am updating my post for Smith Volvo. After speaking with service manager, the dealer is honoring my request to fix compressor with a low cost to me . They are also extending my warranty. I appreciate the professionalism in handling this for me. When a business values their customers it means a lot. Thank you to David Perez.

I had a very expensive repair that took all day. I drive from another community 50 miles away and had no way to get back home. I was prepared to stay there near the dealership for the day, but they offered a rental car! I was so grateful to be able to go home and make use of the day. As it turned out they weren't able to complete the job that day, but I had the rental so was able to return the next evening to pick up my car.I have an older volvo and I have had it in-and-out of there several times over the last couple of years and trust their service.

David in service is great to work with. They always are courteous and take the time to explain what needs to be done. They are very professional and I highly recommend them. They always follow up with me when they say they will and alway remember the details.

This is the only dealership in SLO and SB counties. It's a beautiful drive and hanging out in SLO is easy and fun while repairs are being made. Their communication is tops, with text message updates along the way. The service department and staff are excellent and always friendly. Most recently I had an extended warranty update and they had my car for 3 days. Smith Volvo has a relationship with nearby Hertz, where I booked a rental. After dropping my car off at Smith, Dave, in the Smith service department, arranged for an Uber (which Smith paid for) to drive me to Hertz. Later, a Hertz staffer shuttled me back to Smith. The process was as smooth as could be. I feel my car is well taken care of by the professionals at Smith Volvo who deliver service with courtesy, kindness, and a sparkling clean car, too!

Great experience! They sell based on the fixed price model which is really a time saver and stress reducer format. The price was more than fair and the used car was impeccable with waxed delivery, everything working and just plain an all above board transaction. I would highly recommend it and I am going back to have some work done on my other car

Best place to buy parts, especially for older Volvos. Most dealers have told me they won't bother with back orders or some other excuse but even if it involves ordering from Sweden, Smith Volvo has always pulled through for me.

Came in for a check engine light on SUV, unfortunately it was more of an issue than I was hoping for.However, Smith Volvo does great work, and has a curtious, friendly staff who clearly communicated what the challenge was and quickly share time and price for the repair.All went well..Thanks to the service team..

Service Department was great. They were able to get me scheduled quickly and took care of the maintenance in addition to a couple of recall items. Really professional team overall. Very pleased with the service team, will definitely bring the car back for future service needs. A wonderful experience.

Smith Volvo is the only place I buy cars. I've been buying cars from Mark, Rob and Scott for years. They're great people, knowledgeable about their cars, and are always fair on price. One of the reasons I buy from them is they take the stress out of buying a car. My kids have cars from Smith Volvo and I've referred numerous friends to them. Five stars from this buyer.

Battery was showing low battery. Diagnosis revealed a voltage draw in thermostat. $145 part $700 labor. Service took 2 1/2 hours. So shop fee is $300 per hour. That seems more than excessive. I will be looking for service alternatives for my Volvo in the future

This dealership doesn't care about warranty issues.Waiting 7 days for a warranty issue... and then getting the information that it is too late to understand what went wrong, is absolutely not a decent level of service, knowing that the wait you are imposing us is not getting any better. You obviously do not care about warranty issues. Since we got this vehicle, we have been waiting 11 weeks to have it repaired because Volvo was not supplying the parts, then we have had to wait 3 weeks to have the charging problem fixed (including 7 days waiting for an appointment), we also cane 2 times for a problem of engine light and one with a problem on a tire (here again 7 days wait for an appointment).At the end, we have owned the XC90 since august (7 months) and we have passed only 1 month without a light on the dashboard waiting for an appointment!Volvo USA doesn't care about the problem.Before buying your Volvo, check BMW.

I'll admit, I have an old dame that never seems to die! My 2000 Volvo V70 is so old, parts are hard to come by, but Tim in parts was professional and expedient in finding a right axle for my car, as they are quite hard to come by these days. If you require the help of a true professional and have a classic Volvo, give Smith Volvo parts a call. I hope this helps!
