DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! Had to bring a car here because of insurance and it has been a TERRIBLE experience. It took them over A MONTH to replace the ignition and fix a broken window. They are incredibly uncommunicative and I have had to call them persistently to receive any updates about my car. They are incredibly unprofessional and it has been a nightmare having my car here. Save yourself the time and hassle and go elsewhere!!

We took our SUV here for insurance repairs. They missed some significant dents on the grill so we had to return it. It took a while and it pretty inconvenient, especially with having to install and uninstall car seats. The oddest part was when we picked up the car and they left the damaged grill in the back. It was not a small piece and was annoying to have to deal with.

I brought in my SUV in which a dent in the side door. I had gotten quotes from other body shops, some were quoting me over $4,000 to have the dent repaired. At minimum, the other shops were quoting me $2000. The shops were recommending very invasive methods to repair the dent that seemed unreasonable. I was super stressed over the high cost and I went to Rainbow for one last quote. John looked at the dent and quoted me $1300. He explained the estimate and the repair process clearly to me which I appreciated. John was kind and I didn't feel pressured to make a decision at the time. My car was fixed within a week and looked brand new. Two years later, it still looks great!

Incredible! Honestly, I think it looks even better than when we bought it brand new 6 years ago! Rainbow did a remarkable job, and it's not their fault it took a month...getting all the parts were tough. GREAT JOB, Rainbow!The huge damage, $12,000!, was caused by an accident with a semi-truck and trailer side-by-side with me on a 45 degree left turn in San Luis Obispo. Driver's side got wiped...or whipped, deeply, from front fender to back!Thank you, Rainbow!

the went above and beyond for me. I don't leave reviews but wanted to for them. Drop off, pick up, quality of work was all super easy and great quality. I was dreading this process and felt that I didn't have time for this, and it went so smoothly. And they did more than I was expecting! I will only go here from now on when I need auto body.

It's rare I'm compelled to write a Yelp review but I'm highly appreciative of the team at Rainbow Auto Body. We were headed down to San Luis Obispo from the Bay Area on a Tuesday for our wedding when my wife hit something on the highway that ripped off a couple screws on the left side of the bumper and tore up the underliner of our car. I called John on Wednesday morning and they had the whole thing fixed by the end of the day Thursday. They did a great job, It was much cheaper than I expected and they treated the repair with urgency since it was our wedding week and we needed to get home a couple days later. Can't thank them enough....

I brought my car into Rainbow for spots on my hood that I thought might be damaged due to acidic nature of bird p*** sitting on my newish car too long. I immediately got a good vibe from Joe when he greeted me and he set me up with Tony who took care of the problem with a quick wet sand and high speed polish. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car to Rainbow for any body or paint work in the future. Couldn't be happier with my experience at Rainbow.

These guys are amazing! I took my car in they were able to get started within a few days and it only took less than a week to get it back in perfect condition really good follow through and communication by Derek made the whole situation stress-free. I went to a couple other body shops in San Luis Obispo and they quoted me a timeframe that would've put me out for months so thank goodness for rainbow

I got in my first accident and brought my car in to get fixed. Everyone at this shop is beyond amazing and SO NICE, shout out to John Caruana! They took amazing care of my car and were so easy to communicate with and got everything done so quickly.

My car was in a animal accident twice in a two month period . Brian and the team did an amazing job fixing my car . They also helped me cover costs of my rental . I would Definitely recommend great costumer service !!!!

My mom went in for cataract surgery this past week, and some ding-dong scraped their car door along the driver's side door panel--as you can imagine, not something anyone wants to see, let alone someone in wraparound shades! We drove by Rainbow the following day to see what they could do to help, and John (the owner?) assisted us right away--and for FREE. Turns out it was just a paint and rubber situation, not a dent, so John personally got a cloth and some smelly stuff, then proceeded to wipe out all the offending red paint on the white door in less than five minutes. We wanted to give him $20 for his troubles, but he wouldn't hear of it. There's a reason this is my mom's favorite place--unbeatable service!

A couple weeks ago, someone backed into my Mini Cooper while it was parked with their hitch. I drive out of the place and come up to the stop sign and I see something on my windshield and it was a note saying they had hit my car! I get out and inspect it I look at the hatch door good size dent and a gash on the bumper i Called the person who hit my care and they were super nice about it. They recommended I take my car to rainbow auto painting and body. I took it in and The gentleman Derek was awesome!! He told me what would need to happen and how everything would go down the staff around were also great. But Derek made me feel comforting and with a sense of relieve. After everything with the insurance of the person who hit my car I went in and dropped off the car. He told me again that they would take care of my car. Through the time Derek called me to give me updates more than anything great customer service. Today 6/23/21 Derek called me to let me know my car is ready came to the shop, and the parts that got hit were perfect I mean it was great job I can't complain. These guys took care of me and In the future I will be using there services for any little thing. Not to mention they had a guy fix my wheel I scrapped up and they had someone fix it great deal on it too. To say the least these guys are great!!
