Nice guy and team but took nearly a year to get him to complete my taxes only to have to take them elsewhere to complete them! They weren’t done correctly and I paid him a lot plus waited nearly a year to get them back. Super disappointed, wouldn’t use again

My parents used Marlin to do their taxes for years, with minimal difficulty. However, this year they received the run around, lies, and mistakes in Marlin's accounting. I sent several emalls trying to contact Marlin to resolve the issue (as Marlin never responded to any communication before taxes were due). Additionally, he filed an extension on my parents taxes, without telling them, then he left the office for a month on vacation. When I was FINALLY able to speak to someone in Marlin's office, all I received was excuse after excuse. My parents just received a letter from Marlin stating their taxes havent been paid this year, when in fact, they went to Marlin's office and wrote out two checks. Where has the missing money gone?? I will be filing a complaint with the BBB in hopes of something like this never happening to anyone else.

Called Marlin in Jan and talked for a while about tax siutation and agreed to go with him. Sent him all my W2 and tax info. Didn't hear back for a month. Followed up and he said he was busy and getting to it. Then nothing for another month. Followed up, nothing, followed up nothing, and just went totally dark. Super unprofessional and now two weeks left for me to do taxes on my own.
