“Farm supply in San Luis Obispo is the flagship. if I have any extra time I love going through the store because of the atmosphere and the friendly service. They're very helpful as the selection in the stores pretty big. I love walking around and looking for a good value. The only problem is every time I go in there I usually leave with something. :-))”

3450 Dairy Creek Rd, San Luis Obispo“This place is a little gem in San Luis Obispo, right across the street from Cuesta College on HWY 1. If you have children I would definitely recommend the children’s garden there. Sometimes they have free events, like the Free Family Day on Sundays once a month. They also have yoga, jewelry making, and photography classes…and so much more! Check out the website slobg.org. SLO isn’t a huge city and their botanical garden is quite modest, don’t go expecting a freaking butterfly preserve or a super bloom. It’s in beginning stages of becoming a big beautiful botanical garden like one would see in a larger city.”
“Beautifully curated botanical garden and additional children's/kitchen garden. Also, sizeable hiking trails behind the gardens that expands into the future garden plans. The several trails include lovely vistas of the San Luis Obispo area and several of the Nine Sisters (ancient volcanoes).”
“Shoutout to Luis, Jesus, Justin, and Josh for their outstanding customer service yesterday. I determined I needed to rent one of the Home Depot trucks to be able to transport home all of the lumber I intended to purchase…this was well after 9 pm (store closes at 10 pm). In order to rent a truck, customers must provide proof of valid insurance. It just so happened that I had gotten new insurance within 24 hours and the Allstate app was crashing and not letting me get a copy of my temporary insurance ID card, which I needed to proceed with the truck rental. Luis waited patiently and offered words of encouragement as I worked to get in touch with an insurance agent that could send me my temporary ID card. The insurance agent kept sending me files that weren’t rendering, my phone was at 8% battery, and I was panicking, but Luis kept it so cool. It really helped. In the meantime, Jesus gathered the items from my THREE shopping carts (two of which were the really large kind, loaded with lumber), and he found an associate that would be ready to help me load everything into the rented truck once I finished checking out. When I finished checking out, Justin was right outside, ready to start loading the merchandise I had paid for! Then, when I got back from unloading the stuff at home, Joshua helped me check the rented truck back in and handed me my receipt. I didn’t have to wait. He promptly inspected the truck. Such an amazing team. Teamwork makes the dream work! I felt like I was part of a team, like they were my team. I am forever grateful for their kindness, willingness to help, and their logistics planning prowess, which helped me to happily get home with all the materials I need to start my project TODAY, right after this post.”

1551 Froom Ranch Way Rd, San Luis Obispo“What can I say other than it's home Depot. Don't expect to have someone who works there following you around showing you everything like they are your personal assistant. They got stuff to do. If you need help you will have to go find an orange shirt and ask for help. They will gladly help you but again, they got stuff to do or they get chewed out by management. So you're not likely to have an orange shirt come up and ask if you need help. You want low prices on the materials you need well they got balance those low prices some how to make a profit. Less workers....lol.....
Couple things to remember
1. When you go to pick up a custom or online order be sure to check out the product thoroughly before you leave. If you leave, discover damage and try to return it they won't take it back.
2. Sign up for a pro extra account. It's easy and free. Once you have done this you punch in your phone number before checkout and receipts will be stored digitally on your pro extra account. That way if you lose your paper receipt you can just login to your pro extra account on the home Depot website and bam! All your receipts are there to view and print.
3.always buy 20% more than what you need. Low prices means the quality is going to be in the mid range at best. Especially building materials. If you're placing your order online get 30% more than you need because they don't go through each board and pick out the best. They just grab how many you need and get it ready for you to pick up. You will get some bad
boards.
4. If you want a lot of help I suggest going early in the morning. That's when they got a lot of people on the floor. Evening you go when you don't want to deal with the crown of people but they don't have as many workers on the floor and a lot of them have stocking quotas they need to fulfill. So cut them some slack.
5. Don't show up the last 15 minutes before closing to place or return merchandise at the customer service & returns part of the store like I do. They won't be very happy. Tip: if you do be sure to bring a Starbucks gift card for like $5. That makes them very happy.
6. Don't be shy. If you need help go track down an orange shirt. Otherwise, you could be standing there for a long time waiting for someone to help you.”
“Fantastic little store with really great variety. The prices can not be beat and it's a non-profit shop so you feel great spending money. My one critique would be to sharpie a name on the pots so I don't feel like I'm pestering the very kind employees.”
