This is one of the larger Home Depot's and everything is kept clean inside the store and easy to find. The selection is great and if you can't find somebody, someone is offering their service to you. Keep it up.

I've spent 10s of thousands of dollars here over the last 18 months building an ADU. One of my last large purchases was $540 for electrical materials. My electrician used most of it but he did overestimate the amount of materials. I came in shortly after the 90 day window to return the funds to my credit card, so I knew they could not credit it back directly but could issue store credit as long as they can locate the receipt. Sure enough we found the receipt but store credit kept getting denied. I was told that this is because it's a high theft item. Which is understandable if there's no receipt, but with the receipt right in front of you, maybe make a little more effort. I then asked what we can do or if we can get a manager approval considering how much purchasing I do here. First she said she is the manager. Then I asked, you're the store manager? To which she replied, no, she won't be in till next week and have me a blank stare. Ok, thanks for the lazy advice. I'll be back next week. Top notch customer service Sandra.

Just listened to a checker try to debate with a Veteran over a Vets discount. While I understand that an occassional person mite try and con y'all over being a Vet and getting a discount...altho in all the yrs and purchases I've made at the San Luis Obispo HD, I've never seen a someone trying to con you. But I have seen alot of Vets get the discount. You could tell by his Tats alone he served. His "card" was in his truck. He was very polite. He just said "If you can't take my word for it, I'll make this purchase and then shop elsewhere."Come on HD. Teach your people some discretion. You can do better.

Kept getting passed around with “not my department”. Asked to talked to a manager and they pointed me to Dion. She looked at me and walked away. Now we know why the service is horrible here. Their GM is so unprofessional and rude

I have been a long term customer of Home depot since they first opened and have spent over a million dollars in supplies at various HD's. I walked into this location a few minutes before closing as i had an overnight painting job for a major retail store, the specs were wrong for one section, so i needed a gallon of a different color. The person working the paint section was awesome, he mixed the paint i needed, and i grabbed a few more supplies. As i scanned my items and paid for them and retrieved my receipt, i saw some peanut M&M's and scanned them separately. After i grabbed my receipt i was aggressively approached by a latina front end attendant named GLORIA. She rudely accoused me of only ringing up the peanuts as i was still at the register, she didnt speak very good english as she was talking to me in a threatening demeanor, i had put my original receipt in my pocket as she demanded it and the whole time she was absolutely confident i was trying to pull a scam. I had other receipts in my pocket and was getting her the right one, once i found it, she ripped it out of my hand, she tried to read it and still DIDN'T beleive i paid for everything! She grabbed the paint scanned it to see if it matched, once she found out i paid for it she started laughing at me. UNBELIEVABLE!!!Well after verifying my receipt she was 100% in the wrong. Racial and gender profiling is one way to lose a loyal customers business!!!!! The store manager blew me off as well and never followed up as promised even after i called back, i was treated rudely on the phone by the customer service associate. Wow, just wow!

I was there last night. I got a great costumer service. Alejandro help me to pick all my stuff for a tile project. I didn't have an idea about products. He explained everything very well. Im not sure if is ALEX OR ALEJANDRO . his service was amazing

The people here are helpful. Even though they didn’t have what I needed.Though they didn’t know it could be ordered on line through Home Depot! I had to go somewhere else to find that out!

They need to have a manager work the night shift. When we shop after work we have found that if you ask the HELP you desk at night they really can't help you . They always say our manager is not here until day shift. Management needs to put a position in for a manager to be there at night. The public consumers need things at night that only management can get or order. Why is it that employees at night can't really help you ? I gave you 5 stars but you do NEED a manager in all stores at night.

Rude customer service. They have no idea what they are selling most of the time and are just interested in chatting to each other. One lady even just walked away and did something else when I asked her a question.

Had cabinets installed in my garage, the cabinets are beautiful and the sales person that helped with design was awesome. Unfortunately when HD came out for final measurement they sent a very rude representative and then when the cabinets were installed they were 8" to 10" short. We could've sent them back but had already waited for 10 weeks to get them. We reached out to get some sort of discount since they were shorter then our original paid estimate and.... crickets! We have not heard one thing from the installer managers or anyone from customer service after multiple inquiries. I would say buyer beware and be ready to be underwhelmed by the service. I own a business in SLO and we would never get away with this type of service, it has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and we will not be shopping there again.
