I could not be more disappointed with the Costco Tire Center here. I spent $800 on four new tires in January 2023 and within one year the front two are bald. I returned twice since January 2023 to have my tires evaluated and once they said there was no need to rotate and the second they said they would fix a flat and rotate and apparently did not rotate the tires, so my front two are completely bald. But because of a lack of rotating, it's not covered under warranty! What a waste. The people who work there are clearly incompetent. I couldn't be more disappointed. I really liked Costco and now it makes me question my membership. I don't understand how they can treat customers like this

I was surprised how empty the store was. The Costco stores in my area are slammed all the time. We had an issue with the food court, of all things. We asked the food guy how long it would take for a whole pizza. He said 15 minutes. We ordered at the kisok and got in line. It took 12 minutes to get to the front of the line at which point they scanned our receipt and said they'd start the pizza and it would be another 10 minutes. Wtf! He said that's how it works there. The kiosk doesn't tell them what food to start making, the scanned receipt does, and they were short staffed. I went to the store exit and asked to speak with a manager. They told me I could go find a manager at the info desk. I reminded them I was the customer and they could send the manager out to the food court. Supervisor Noah came out, apologized, and said he'd refund our pizza price and get the pizza done ASAP. He went in and came back out with some rando lady with no vest and no name tag. It was clear she was looking for an argument. Somehow, she knew our pizza was already done, but we didn't, even though we were standing at the food court the whole time! We asked for our pizza so we could leave but she wanted to continue to argue for whatever reason. At that point we pressed for the refund AND the pizza since that was already offered. 20+ years as a member and I've never had an issue until this garbage.

I bought a brand new battery and was not allowed by this person in the picture or a different lady not in the picture to shop with my battery in the basket. Other Costco locations carry them inside the store. These two at the door were adamant about the time of the store closing, which is an Achilles' heel for most people, as soon as you walk in the door, I absolutely was not greeted and had to speak to a manager about these clowns. Plus I did get a battery is a plus the nonplus was the other 99.9% of my trip into Costco. Not quite sure on the hiring processes these days but maybe they should screen these workers just a little bit more or have training meetings, updates on customer service, etc.

Service at this Costco starts at the front door and you're greeted with a smile. As with all Costco's the selection and value is Bar none. It's always a pleasure to go into the store when I'm in the neighborhood because there is no better value.

In addition to tires. Costco also has batteries. They're moderately priced and come with a 3 year warranty. Service was prompt and pleasant. When I returned the old battery, unlike many places, the attendant put a caller on hold to wait on me.

I was doing my shopping today in a really good move and I say hi to his lady she ignored me wich it was ok, sometimes people dont like to agreed customers when I was about to pay , she was giving me a bad attitude, I didn't say anything I just ignored her , when I was done paying she was really nice to the next customer i felt like I was discriminated this lady's same it's Sharon , and this happened today , if she doesn't feel like working she just stay home , if you can't work under the pressure of customers in a busy place get another job but don't give attitude to customers who spend good money at the store thanx to them you can keep Your work , I spent over 1000 dollars today and instead of have a nice day or how are you doing I got a bad attitude, like if the items that I bought were giving to me for free

This is in reference to their optical department: I recently purchased a membership JUST to get eyeglasses because my research showed Costco had the best prices and also good service. Prices, yes--service, not so much... Value? POOR. It was a problem before I walked out with my first pair of glasses. I got my prescription through their on-site optometrist, picked out a frame maybe 20 minutes later and then purchased two pairs of glasses (same frames) with progressive lenses. When I returned to pick up the first pair I got a little doubling and mentioned this. They hemmed and hawed, fiddled and futzed and eventually told me to try them out for a few weeks to see how they worked out. I left and went about my life to test them. After about two weeks the second pair of glasses came in and I went in to talk to them about my first pair (where were no better than when I started) and check out the second pair. They looked at the first pair, hemmed and hawed some more, and then sent me back to the optometrist, where I was tested a second time and the optometrist CHANGED the prescription! (But this isn't really my beef--read on.) I gave the optical people my new prescription and they said it would be another 10 days or so before my new glasses were ready (I held onto the original pair until then, per their recommendation). When that pair came in I went back in and tried them on and they were better than the first, but still had some slight doubling, mostly at mid and long ranges. They said, again, to try them for a few weeks. Well, about 2 weeks later (again) the second pair came in and I went in and tried those--and they were worse than the first pair and I was now unhappy and said as much. I asked for a refund on the second pair and would just go with the one, but I was not terribly happy with those and said as much about that, too. And, of course, they hemmed and hawed one final time and eventually came back and said they would refund my second pair as a "one-time courtesy", but they didn't normally do that. And that's my biggest beef right there: I later found out that they have a membership satisfaction guarantee (here it is right from their Web site: "WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY ON PRESCRIPTION EYEGLASSES? Costco has a 100% member satisfaction guarantee. If the prescription eyeglasses are unsatisfactory for any reason, you may return them to the Optical Department in your local Costco Warehouse for a repair, replacement, or refund.") So, they lied to me and I could have had returned both pairs. And now, only maybe six weeks later, I've cancelled my membership, my one pair is now scratched and I'm sure I could not return those for that reason. This experience not only turned me off of Costco, but of getting prescription glasses in general. I will never do that again. The service people lied to me, the glasses didn't work well (twice!) and they turned out to be fragile (no, I didn't expect them to lay in the bed of my truck or something and be safe; they just scratched with very little exposure to anything that might do that.) One final suggestion: unless there's something radically wrong with your eyes, I would suggest Foster Grant progressive readers for under $40 at Rite Aid, or wherever. This is what I used for 12 years before I decided to try a prescription, thinking that would give me much better vision. Not worth it.

Pretty good Costco. Used to be organized better. Cashiers are friendly and fast. Boxers aren't what they used to be. I guess geometry class isn't required for the job. Gas prices are good but better at some service stations in the county. Best thing to buy here for a deal is local wine.

Painfully slow. There's no good time to come to this location. It's always filled with a ton of really old people and groups of people not paying attention. The selection is poor and the prices aren't better than Smart & Final on a lot of things. If you need diapers and wipes that's about all it's good for.

You can find just about anything you ate looking for at Costco and plenty of stuff you don't need but the price is good so you go ahead and buy it. The food court is always good for a hotdog and a drink for $1.50

Costco Tire Center in San Luis Obispo. I am a dad who tried to have his son get new tires for his 2016 Nissan Rogue so he could drive from Seattle safely. My son did not realize that he needed to order the tires before he could schedule an appointment. I order and pay for 4 BF Goodrich tires ($639.84) and schedule install at San Luis Obispo for the Monday after he arrives since my son failed to plan In time. Driving down my son gets a flat because his previous tires were much too worn. His spare is a half tire and was enough to get him to a tire store to buy a brand new tire for $160 on a Sunday so he can now make his appointment the next day. I had received confirmation from UPS tracking numbers that the tires were delivered. my son shows up to the appointment and was sent home saying that they only received 2 of the 4 tires. I tell my son to buy a new full sized rim from a local shop so that he could put his new $160 replacement tire on and have a full sized spare when he gets his other new tires installed. Meanwhile I speak to Costco tire and give them the tracking number showing deliver. They still say that they only received 2 of the 4 and that they will not follow up with UPS but will call my son if they arrive. I call UPS who opens an investigation with Costco on 98 deliveries that day. The next day Costco found the missing tires and scheduled an appointment for my son to come in a couple days later for install. My son shows up and there was no record of his appointment. He explains the new tire install and the new tire for spare situation. After a couple hours my son checks on the progress before they close up shop... they didn't have any clue about the job, but rushed it done and closed the doors. My son drives away and realizes that he got the 1/2 size tire spare but did not get his brand new all season tire that he just bought a few days ago. My son had to leave town the next morning and didn't deal with the situation. So dad calls after hearing about this almost a month later. There were no notes on the account about saving the brand new tire... and they said it was probably disposed of. I can't believe that a tire service location could remove and discard a brand new tire that hadn't even worn off the new tire nubs on the tread. Because my son waited to tell me, Costco said there is nothing they can do. So now I am buying another tire from a used tire store for a spare because Costco would not even discount a replacement tire for the mistake of disposing our brand new tire. This is very disappointing and am a long time valued customer of Costco but don't feel that way after this experience! I expect Costco to make this right!!!

Verizon kiosk is worst. Worst part is Costco can't help. They have too many outs and they won't give you help like Costco would. Costco gladly says they are not involved. Verizon was supposed to be the best. Now I have no working phone. Worst part is all three players making money won't help.

Very busy place. Their food court is outside just in case if you arrive hungry and you get confused and dizzy inside. They had a little plenty of stations to feed you and to have you taste some stuff. I tried the Tyson chicken today and it was surprisingly good. Parking is easy even though there is a stop sign to get in that is annoying. There are trees here and they're scattered through the parking in case you want to have shade. It was clean inside and it looked like typical Costco without any drama.
