Having been SO impressed by the stellar service I received from the owner of this wonderful tech resource I am enthusiastically joining the chorus of others praising this excellent local business. I’m actually just visiting SLO temporarily so I was referred to Caltec by the owners of the (charming) motel I’m currently staying at when serious issues suddenly arose with my Windows laptop – as I’m now a digital nomad full-time this was a critical matter indeed for me. My own experience with Caltec surely affirms Peach Tree Inn’s confidence in recommending them to me, and I’d like to personally extend my deep gratitude to Brent in particular for his insightful assistance re: my multi-layered tech issues which had felt like such a tangled knot – I recommend them wholeheartedly & Thank You so much!!!

Don't know if it's magic or just good luck but after calling Joey from Caltec, windows fixed the boot error and I was able to get into my computer. So shoutout Joey and here is my 5 star review!

Just had my computer repaired here. I must have picked a good time, because it was repaired while I waited. Took about a half an hour. Technician was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Problem solved.Note that there is a minimum $159/hour labor charge.Satisfied customer here!

Cal-Tec Computers is fantastic! They helped me with a PC-to-iMac migration issue that saved my lifetime's worth of music files. It was something that the folks at the Apple Genius Bar caused (after assuring me that "all" of my data would seamlessly transfer from my personal computer to my new iMac desktop computer), and then could not figure out how to fix. Joey at Cal-Tec helped me through the entire process of retrieving and backing up the music (and other missing) files from the very old PC to a backup drive that could be used to migrate my full music library (not just the iTunes purchases) into the iMac and, ultimately, the new iPhone Apple was compelled to give me when they broke my previous iPhone while attempting a routine new battery installation. I will be forever grateful to Joey and Cal-Tec for competently, professionally and courteously giving me back the "soundtrack of my life."
