This is one of my favorite places in SLO. The owners are helpful and eager to answer questions. Every time I go, I see something new and walk away with a treasure!

"I don't know where to start." My thoughts on writing this review, and on entering the store. Walking through the main doors, stuff is piled as far as you can see. Dusty, disorganized (maybe the owners have their own method), some of it broken, all of it intriguing. Prices are a little high, and you'll have to dig for the treasures. Check out the parrots in the back (but don't offer them a finger.) Upstairs is more organized and the stuff is nicer. Out back it gets a little crazy-- who knows what you might find. I wouldn't stick my hand into any dark recesses.

Give these guys some love for keeping an old time junk store going. Today's prices, yesterday's atmosphere!

Eclectic throwback in time! This funky store is where you’ll find Paco the talking parrot, tons of scrap metal and tools (Chad likes his rusted metal so he may not be willing to sell!!). Lots of wonderfully weird things. You just have to see it to believe. My favorite spot for hidden treasure. Keep SLO funky!!

Finally, an Antique, and a little bit of everything that is fairly priced. At the same time, the Owners are helpful, kind and willing to sell at a discount. For example, my main goal was to buy large outdoor planters; there was quite a few to choose from, and some of the pottery were from 1900's! And, at great prices!!

Just spoke with Lyle passing by in a parking lot in SLO. The Brooks brothers Chad & Lyle, are almost twins, maybe they are (2 years apart I was told). My stone globe was on a shelf at one visit. The second time I saw it, I bought it with a discount. Such a great antique and woodwork store down Santa Barbara Street from the SLO Town Amtrak Station and across from Miner's Hardware, and up from Fire ? Station No. 1 at Broad and Santa Barbara St. Brooks Brothers are hot ?! Doctor Brooks, U.S. Navy doctor, delivered me and my next younger brother. Dr. Brooks may be the relative of the Brooks brothers.

Just a creepy junk store. Things just dumped wherever - I asked if they had any anvils and the man just laughed and said - they go out as fast as they come in. The same line I heard from about 2 other places. I couldn't wait to head to the front door. Never going back.

This is a very quirky place and I really enjoyed walking around looking at all the different pieces . A lot is cast offs but with the right eye you can make a treasure . Also there are vintage pieces and I believe I saw pieces of new wood furniture. I love vintage. I will always come here and see what I can find . Definitely worth a look .

These guys are the bomb. Deep SLO roots allows them to source and sell some vintage items at great prices. Unique one of skins pieces that you have to see. I think they're family run by two brothers that are worth your time just to chat with. Don't miss this place when you need that unique item for your home or office.
