They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Oh gave them my ideas and they knew right where to look. Have a lot of fixtures in a small showroom! The items I ordered came quickly and I am very happy with them. Will use them again.

We love our wine lounge! The lighting is what pulls it all together, as we can use as many or as few as we like and they’re all dimmable, of course, to create the perfect ambiance!Thank you Acropolis LightingMax SchanderlKathy Burrow

My fiance and I are in the process of remodeling an old Airstream and were having trouble finding 12v lights that fit our space. Chad and Pat were super helpful and let us know that they can retrofit existing 108/120 lights into 12v. We finally found some lights that worked for us and they were able to convert them into 12v in no time. The lights work great, thanks Acropolis!! If you are looking for new lights for your home or business; or retrofit of an existing light Acropolis is the place to go. Great customer service, professional and locally owned!!

Talk about friendly staff. Pat Brady helped me pick out new fixtures for my house. He understood I was on a budget but still wanted something nice. I will never go shopping at home cheapot now. Highly recommend the boys in there! They also referred me to a great electrician.

Top Choice For Lighting... - Pros: Hands-on assistance. Ability to take a fixture home. Recommended electrician. - Cons: None really - Overall: 5 - In Store Inventory: 4 - Assistance: 5 - Cost: 5 - Value: 5 - Friendliness: 5 - Ben Musson (electrician): 5 My wife and I moved into a new home in Nipomo in late April 2018, but we kept looking at a fairly big empty space above our dining room table. We knew something was needed, like a simple chandelier, and decided to visit the best reviewed lighting store in the area...Acropolis. - Location: Off the beaten path. The first time you go, you'll probably need directions from your car or smart phone. Acropolis is about 3/4 of a mile south of Higuera Street in a neighborhood of office buildings and light industrial warehouses. After one visit, it's easy. - Inventory: Substantial. Acropolis has lots of fixtures hanging from the ceiling, sitting on the floor or shelves and tucked into corners with a sampling of all major types of lighting. If you see something you like, but wonder if there's one a different size, shape, color or price, they've got many books and can help narrow the search quite quickly. - Assistance: Excellent. Shopping for lighting isn't something we do everyday, but Brady helped guide us through the showroom and offered ideas based on our answers to his questions. We focused on 2 fixtures in the store and compared them to alternatives in a book. Brady recommended taking one home for a few days to see how it looked. That was a great suggestion! - Price and Value: Reasonable. My wife and I chose the one we took home. When we brought the chandelier back to Acropolis, Brady said we could have it for $275 instead of ordering a new one for $330. We accepted his offer because it looked fine to us. Of course, price and value will depend on what you're in the market for. - Parking: Somewhat limited, but you don't need to look far to find it nearby. Since our new fixture would be located in part of the dining room without ready-to-go electrical access, we needed an electrician. Brady suggested Ben Musson because he does lots of work in our area, charges $75 per hour versus others at $100 and gets great feedback from his customers. Brady was right. Ben visited, examined the situation and made arrangements to return the following week. It took a bit longer than planned since he needed to wade through insulation in the attic/crawl space above our one floor home and make the proper connections, but the end result was great. The cost for 2 hours of Ben's work was $150 plus a little more for parts. For future lighting needs, we'd go to Acropolis and for electrical work Ben Musson will be on speed dial.
