There is NO benefit for AAA members pushed into using Safelite Company for windshield issues. They only offer misinformation and a smoke screen weather you call the headquarters or visit the SLO office staffed by a bunch of incompetent, mind numb robots who have only been trained to follow the script in their computer. The bottom line is that if you need a chipped windshield "bullseye" fixed or the whole windshield replaced, members are misled by television commercials and AAA's outgoing message which insinuates a beneficial partnership with Safelite for their members. There is NO discounted or fixed price for member's pushed into using Safelite. It is more likely that AAA gets a kick back for every sucker they refer. I am beginning to feel like a fool for being a member for 36 years. One more thing, with regard to an office visit a couple of months ago. All the employees were again using face masks, which was kind of strange but they all seemed to have nasty attitudes that day. I guess when the masks go up, the customer service goes down.

Everyone is professional, friendly and helpful. If you need help with insurance I highly recommend Alan Dowdy. And if you need DMV help this is the place. AAA San Luis Obispo is the best!

Use AAA San Luis Obispo, for any service other than Travel. I called Norwegian Cruise Lines to ask them where we should meet the shuttle to take us from the airport to the cruise ship. I was informed that the arrival time at the airport would not provide us time to get to the ship. When we contacted AAA we were told that we could rent a car and drive down in plenty of time to meet the ship. We lost out on the money we paid to get to LAX and they didn't even offer to cover the cost of the rental car. We booked our trip thinking their travel agents were knowledgeable. If you do book through their travel agents, due your due diligence and confirm everything they do. Do not rely on them to coordinate your trip.

I have used my roadside service once ! My key got destroyed so I was stuck in Goleta on a Friday night October 6 at a gas station .they dispatched several tow truck drivers granted this happened at 3:37 pm. I was picked up at 10 pm .I had to keep calling the auto updated text because no one was coming during that six hours and found out by the tow truck driver no one wanted to tow me the 90 miles but he was nice enough to take the job. Then they tell me aaa will cover the cost of the key up to $150 well the locksmith came today October 18 12 days later and my out of pockets was $584.60 $165.00 charge to come to oceano from Paso Robles so if I went to a local locksmith it would have been cheaper. The locksmith was very informative stating AAA Does NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. When you think this insurance gives you peace of mind in this instance sitting by myself at a gas station for 6 & 1/2 hours and waiting 12 days for a key doesn't seem like a very good deal to me. So when looking for roadside service I think you should think twice about AAA if you ever have to use it! First time I did going to look into something else.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with a Triple AAA Insurance employee that left me feeling disrespected, belittled, and discriminated against. It is disheartening to encounter such behavior in a professional setting, especially from someone representing a reputable organization like Triple AAA Insurance. Firstly, I would like to highlight the sexist behavior exhibited by this employee. From the moment the phone call began, it was evident that he held biased views towards women. He consistently interrupted me while I was speaking, disregarded my questions and concerns, and even made condescending remarks about my ability to understand insurance policies. This blatant sexism was not only offensive but also completely unprofessional. Secondly, the employee's rude demeanor further exacerbated the negative experience. He displayed a complete lack of empathy and failed to provide any form of customer service. Instead of addressing my inquiries with patience and respect, he responded with dismissive and sarcastic remarks. It was clear that he had no interest in assisting me or resolving my concerns. Furthermore, his tone throughout the interaction was consistently condescending, making me feel as though my opinions and questions were insignificant. This type of behavior is unacceptable in any customer service role and reflects poorly on both the individual employee and Triple AAA Insurance as a whole. In conclusion, my encounter with this Triple AAA Insurance employee was deeply disappointing. The combination of his sexist attitude and rude demeanor created an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy as I showed to him regardless of my gender. It is crucial for Triple AAA Insurance to address such incidents promptly to ensure that all customers receive equal treatment and are not subjected to discrimination or disrespect.

Beware that this location at least no longer does anything useful with the DMV. I went in just to change my address, the easiest possible thing, and got nowhere. The person at the desk maintained that driver's licenses are a different system and they don't have access to it, which would also imply that they can't renew your license if it was true. And she offered to change the address for my car registration, but then she 'had' to print out a new one for me, and that'd cost $25 (for a free service). So naturally I'm going to make an appointment directly with the DMV. But sheesh.. Of course I like their towing/rescue service. I even use them for my car insurance, although mercifully I haven't had to test that yet.

When I was adding a new car to my auto policy the agent told me to buy my home insurance through AAA and bundle it with my auto which I've had with them for 30+ years and I could save money. I sent pictures and videos of my whole house and yard as requested. They reviewed the pictures and videos and wrote my policy and I paid the downpayment/installment. Now 2 months later they send a letter saying they are cancelling my homeowners because of an outside woodburning stove that was in a video I sent with the application. I should have just stayed with the company I was with. This is just plain WRONG!! AAA wrote the contract, I signed the acceptance of the contract and paid the money. Now they can just cancel. I call BS. I will not believe them or their ads. Don't trust them.

Planning a girl's trip to Scotland next year and went in to talk to a travel agent. This is a bucket list trip for me and I had already completed a lot of research on what I wanted to do and see. Tiffany Liendo worked with us to find the perfect itinerary for us. She was so friendly and professional. She did not rush us and answered all of our questions. I will definitely go back to Tiffany in the future for my travel needs, she was amazing.

In regards to the towing service, they were outstanding. They showed up very quickly and I had no issues with them. They provide the service fast and smoothly as well. They're your neighborhood homies who will help you out. 10/10 recommended.

I called my local AAA office in San Luis Obispo to try to get evidence of current homeowners insurance. I spoke to someone who did not seem to understand my request. After we talked for about five minutes, he said he would need to transfer my call to someone else. I was immediately disconnected. Maybe that guy was a customer at AAA who felt compelled to answer their ringing phone, a la a Saturday Night Live skit. I took me a couple days to get myself back into the mood to try again. This time I called the phone number associated with AAA.com. I spoke with Oscar Pedraza. Within 3 minutes Mr. Pedraza had e-mailed me evidence of current homeowners insurance. He asked to wait on the line until I could verify that I had received the e-mail, then he reviewed it with me to point out where dates, amounts, etc. could be found. He thanked me for my forty-seven years with AAA. We all have experienced poor service across the board since the pandemic began. I am sad to say it continues. My expectation is that anyone who answers the phone in an AAA Insurance Dept. would be able to handle a simple response. WRONG.
