“Lots of different themed toy sections for kids to play. Not a huge space but enough to play in each themed section. Workers were nice and they regularly made the rounds to put toys back into their themed section so toys won't be missing for it (ie doctor toys for the doctor office area)Great add to the Castro Valley community”
“This quaint little place is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. It’s a straight throwback to my childhood with dozens of retro games that I haven’t seen since the 80’s. If you are going to go make sure to bring a friend or parent who loves retro games because you will blow their minds and will absolutely make their day.”
“My husband LOVES Pinot's Palette. If it's any consolation, he is the definition of a "manly man" and *loves* date night here.... So much so, that it's always his idea when we go! The art teachers have always been wonderful. My husband has ADHD, and he struggles to quickly follow and understand the artistic directions. He tends to need to stand up in the front and watch the teacher paint-- and ask a few questions in order to replicate. The teachers have always been very patient and kind and gently balance the class need and speed with what he needs as a more complicated student. Our art pieces have always come out well enough to hang on the wall. Overall, it's just a super fun date experience if your love language is quality time (like mine!).”

“My family and I had my father’s celebration of life ceremony at the Phoenix last week. We are extremely happy with how everything went. The Phoenix staff was super helpful with all of the planning. I worked closely with Ms. Saskia Winter, the founder. We exchanged many emails and she was always responsive and answering all of my questions, which helped a lot. I also visited the venue twice. The staff, (Julie, Artie, and Lakisha) on the day of the event was also super helpful. Things went smooth once the event started. The space was intimate which made it easy for people to connect and mingle. We had food set up and a few decorations. I’m happy we decided to use the Phoenix to remember and honor my father. I highly recommend hosting an event there. You will not be disappointed.”

Allison was our coordinator and she was AMAZING! She was so so so helpful in the weeks leading up to and especially on the day of our wedding! She was SO prepared with anything we needed in her fanny pack! Allison has such a calming presence and took care of everything.
Liv was our event captain and helped us close out the night, she was so helpful and took care of everything with packing decor so we didn't have to worry about a thing!
The food at Redwood Canyon was SO good!! Our guests were raving about how incredible the buffet and prime rib was!

“The wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary and renewed our vows with the help of Amanda and her team at the Overlook! The event was beautiful and amazing! We utilized the garden space and pond then transitioned our guest to the covered patio area thereafter. It was a beautiful July afternoon and photos we absolutely gorgeous given the stunning layout! The celebration was stress free for us, as Amanda and her team seamlessly coordinated with the vendors ensuring our ability to enjoy our guests and the celebration! “The Club House is very well located on top of the hill and overlooking the spectacular view of the San Mateo Bridge and Dumbarton Bridge. Seeing the sunset and its yellow-orange color reflections on the skyline and San Mateo Bay added to my awesome experience. The Club House staff provided good service, and the food was delicious!”
“I'd say just know what you pay for. It's right next to Oakland Airport so.. lots of planes flying during ceremony. Also they don't shut down the golf course. So just be prepared to have golfers surround you haha. Otherwise it is so beautiful. Food was great and bartender was amazing.”

“Came Here Looking For "Padrón Gril" A Vegan Spot I Saw On TikTok. Turns Out It Was A Vendor Working With Korner Kitchen At The Time. However, Korner Kitchen Is Legit! Menu Is Small But The Options Seem Delicious! To Order Food You Walk Up To The Bar Straight In The Middle Of The Patio & You Get A Chance To Look At Their Menu Or Whatever Vendor They Are Working With At The Moment. I Spoke With Who Im Thinking Is The Owner. Didn't Get His Name But Guy Was Very Friendly, Professional & If You Need Any Food Recommendations From The Menus He Got You! He Recommended I Get Their "Noodle Belly $20. Not Too Expensive As Long As The Flavors There. Comes With Garlic Noodles Your Choice Of Protein & A Vegetable. I Ordered The Broccolini With Shrimp! Belive Me Flavors Were Definitely There! The Patio Has Three Large Screen TVs So You Can Eat And Wacth Whatever Is Happening At The Time. Today They Had The UFC Fight And Summer Slam! Nice. Would I Come Here Again. Sure, But With Friends! The Vibes Are Nice Here & Service Is On Point!”

“We celebrated both our son's birthday here. Mod kids is a perfect indoor play area for kids 0-5yrs of age. Kuddrat (the owner) was very easy to work with. She went above and beyond to see to that our party was a success.The play area had just the right amount of toys and play structures. All the kids had a blast! We would definitely come back here to celebrate again!”
“We had my parents celebration of life service there at Eagles Hall and it was AMAZING !!! Although it was a gloomy and emotional day the staff at Eagles Hall was exceptional !!! they took care of all our needs . The lodge tour was wonderful!!! What a cool lodge building.
They are a block from Main Street Alameda, lots of different food choices.
Try Signal coffee, you will understand how a small shop does coffee better than next door Peet’s or Starbucks.”

“Rented Warehouse416 for my parents surprise 70th birthday party this last weekend. Such an amazing spot. “Attended the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy event this past weekend and thought the venue worked perfectly for this theatrical experience. Though the outside does not look like much, the inside of the ballroom is characterized by ornate patterns on the walls and around the stage, and unique light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. Not a whole lot to be impressed by, as it still looks quite plain and simple overall, sort of like an ordinary conference room. But I guess that's what makes Oakstop special, that it's multi-use. It was fitting for the event I attended, and they set up the seating, decor and lighting just fine. It wouldn't be my first choice for a wedding or other celebratory event though.”

“Good place ,honestly this is the only theater I have ever visited, but I can tell is all clean, bathrooms are clean they got plenty of snacks, the also got chicken wings and they got refill on the xl popcorn, they didn't have it last time I came”
