I love walking in this bank and the tellers know who I am. My husband did all the banking until he got sick. When I started to go to the bank they would always ask how he was. They were genuinely sad to here he passed. I don't think you could find a more personalized bank.

This is for Management. Why would you have one teller on the line, on a Friday, at the end of the month during lunch time????? Even if 3 tellers were staffed, why did you let 2 go to lunch at the same time? Why not stagger the lunches? Why doesn't a supervisor/manager run a drawer? You know this time of day is B U S Y... why not staff for it correctly? Tellers are nice, but obviously stressed/overworked.

This was my first time at this branch. I usually go to the Castro Valley location. However, they were temporarily closed. Parking was a hassle since there was construction going on. Parking lot is located behind the branch. There's an ATM on the side of the building - facing the car wash. There was one teller. I stood in line for over 15 minutes. It was finally my turn, the teller(I wish I got her name- her name tag was covered by her hair) was very professional, worked efficiently. I really appreciated it. She has curly silver shoulder length hair. The first time I experienced this type of customer service at a Bank of the West branch.

I came in at a very busy time. The man that helped me was named Matthew. He was very patient, polite and helpful. I see the negative reviews and even though it may be busy at times the bankers are more than accommodating. The young man that helped me didn’t treat me as “just a number” but was prompt and friendly.

This branch has thier lobby closed on a Tuesday. They had only the drive through window and the line of cars were 6 deep so I had to drive another location to make a deposit because I needed to talk to a teller and l didn't want to sit for 15 minutes in line in my car waiting for the window.

I wanted to open a checking and savings account and they made me wait and then fill out a paper application and wait some more while they were hiding behind the glass hanging out. Who fill out a paper application when there’s suppose to be a personal banker to help me?! I took my money and headed down to Citi Bank up the street.

The tellers are slow as snails. The drive-up window is rarely open. They really need to improve. I can't stand that place anymore. Don't like having to go inside because of the covid19.

This place is nothing short of horrible. I walked 2 miles here. Due to the circumstances that were in. I felt like I needed air. I had called in advance and was told they were still taking customers into their lobby. 20 minutes later I arrived. Again on foot. A very rude elderly lady answered the door. After I had knocked on it numerous times. I could see a gentlemen sitting inside not even 3 feet away from me. He was sitting on the other side of the desk. While his coworker sat at his desk. So setting together gossiping. The lady was rude. And stated that they were not allowing people inside. Due to it being lunch time. Kind of confusing because it was 10am. I informed her that I walked and needed to deposit a large some of cash. And did not feel comfortable using an ATM. She refused me service. And said she was the only one working. Other than her manager at the drive through. She kept saying "he is at the drive through. So I called an Uber. My Uber diver and I were the only two people in the line. It took 5 minutes for someone to accommodate us. It was a completely different women. Who then said there was no male manager. She took my cash. And returned to me 15 minutes later. That's insane. Horrible customer service skills. The Indian women should be fired. She was rude, unprofessional, and not willing to help. Zero stars. It seems like they do not want ANYONE in their lobby. Corporate where are you at? Management please contact me. I'd love to talk to you.

I have been a member of B of W for about 15 years and today my dog had a medical emergency, my mother sent me some money via cash app to help me pay for her emergency surgery, we use the app frequently and the funds are always available immediately, I pay extra to ensure it's available ASAP, however, BofW refused to release the hold on my funds, their reason "it was sent in a different format", which is ridiculous because it's an app and there is only one format. After 15 years of loyalty and referring others even starting an acct for my daughter and this is how I was treated. They should be ashamed. That acct of my daughters' they took funds that they claimed I owed so my 17 year old daughter went to access her very first pay check to find her acct empty. Then when I went to speak with the manager, a woman named Elsa, said with a very nasty attitude that manager Aisha wasn't there. I should have canceled it then but my stimulus check, paycheck and other funds are already set up to go there. Do yourself a favor and Go to First United, or Fremont Bank, if you want to be treated like a human being.

This place if you want to get money. Brand new ATM that works maybe80% of the time is out of service. Used to love a local bank, now a Brazilian owned bank. Fix your shitty a** ATM!!!!! Guess what, went back today and their shitty a** ATM machine is down. Told me they service their ATM on Fridays. What kind of place reloads and shuts down their ATM every Friday afternoon. Ever think of doing this some other time, like maybe after hours. Line take you forever if you go in... 1-2 tellers open. Don't be fooled if you see only one person in front of, can still take you 30 minutes of waiting. Like snails in this place. D*** assess.
