Honestly really liked this store, had recommended it to a lot of my buddies and team mates but just had an unpleasant and unprofessional interaction with the owner. Went in looking around and started to look around the bats, and helmets. The Latino workers were glad to help me and find a helmet from the back and honestly had a genuine interaction with an owner as well but as I continue to read through these reviews I see it's a common thing coming from him. I had grabbed a bat that was on sale for 108 dollars and another bat that was 50 in my hand with the intention of buying a helmet as well. I asked the owner if he would price match the bat to the Rawlings website where they had it for 85 dollars. The owner laughed and shrugged murmuring a lot of things saying that he would rather go out of business and saying that if he price matched the bat he would have to up charge me for the rest of the items. And I get that, he does give out good deals but a simple no would have been sufficient. I believe that question really bothered him because he continued to lecture and ramble to me about the situation saying that I was already saving a lot of money on the other bat etc.... I kind of laughed it off because I was genuinely shocked on how concerned that question was for him and how badly it got to him. Then he reaches over for the other bat and says how about you purchase them online instead and takes them from me when I was totally fine on paying the listed price. It was unbelievable me and my cousin stood there shocked as he had a line full of people and decided to cure his ego and was not content till I left the store. Seriously ridiculous maybe time for him to retire if he can't run a business professionally. Will never shop here again regardless on how good the deals are would 100% would rather pay more at a store that values the customer regardless of their questions.

The only place in the East Bay that you get quality advice for your purchase. The owners are experts in baseball equipment as well as friendly. Like old time shopping!

Absolutely the BEST!!! I've been to a lot of baseball stores and sporting good stores (I've grown up working in them) and this is hands down the best for baseball and softball. LOTS of selection and deals. They are extremely busy so don't expect someone to walk you through everything. 90% of the time when you go you usually know what to look for. If you have questions talk to the owner directly....he usually sits up front! I was really impressed with the selection and listened to some great stories! Make sure you take your time!

Softball heaven! All the big chains ignore my daughter’s passion. West Coast is worth the trip!

Just called to get information on a new order and an old order, got transferred to Tracy who was unbelievably rude. I had placed an order during Covid and never got the hats. She told me "were not doing embroidery here anymore" How about telling the customer that placed the order for the hats that's called multiple times only to be told, "come down" ugh. Okay, moving on...I asked if she had the record of my shirt order that I placed... she says to me: I'm on my lunch and I'm not going to go look through paper work, in the most rude tone you could speak in to a customer in. Didn't want to go looking for the "paperwork" really? who says that to a customer. I have used this company for decades - through little league, etc. but I cannot handle rude people that don't seem to care about doing business with me. Is it too much to ask for a little customer service. And, if you're on your lunch, don't take the call, how about that

This place is amazing prob 10x the size of any other baseball store. Great deals. Right now (June 2023) there was a sale on all Wilson A2000s for $209. The have everything you could want for baseball. It is the Winchester Mystery House of baseball gear stores. I could spend all day in there. They even had a separate lefty only room. Jeff the incredibly hospitable owner picked out and literally threw 20 lefty outfield gloves at my son to try on. He said just hang out there on a sofa until he was comfortable with one, even though it was past closing time. He said leave what you don't like on the sofa. You don't see that kind of service anymore. You need something for baseball, don't look online -- they have it. This place is worth the drive. It is baseball product heaven. How can you not be romantic about baseball?

Awesome spot for any baseball/softball equipment. Went here to get some molded cleats, and unsurprisingly, they have a huge selection to choose from. It's about a 10 minute walk from the San Leandro Bart station.

I've been going to West Coast from little league all the way to College Ball at CSUEB and by far one of the best baseball stores in the bay area! High end products from my bats, gloves, to catching equipment they carry everything you need!

Went to WCSG for customized team jerseys. Nothing but good things to say about Alison at West Coast Sporting Goods. Alison was quick to respond to my questions and super helpful. the vendors they work with have a wide variety of options to choose from and they have an ol line tool to capture and preview what you are looking for. You can easily play with all the different options, graphics, and color combinations for hours. In situations like this, it is always helpful, but not required, to know exactly what you want as it will speed up the entire ordering process (which can take a few weeks end-to-end). Be prepared to pay a bit extra for shipping and design assistance.Bottom line: would I go through WCSG the next time I need team jerseys ordered? Yes

Hands down the only place to visit in the greater Bay Area if you're serious about baseball, softball, or in need of silk screen work. The store is huge, the inventory is never ending, and if you want it and can't find it on the shelf or rack, then one of their three HUGE warehouses will have it.I came to WCSG for a simple helmet and left with a helmet, bat, and glove--all for a great low price that blows away the prices from the popular corporate stores. My little guy got all he needed and then some. I am forever a patron of this place and plan to share my fantastic experience with everyone I can.
