I recently purchased a Mazda from this dealership, and had a very pleasant experience! Alex Jugbe was a very polite and professional salesman who walked around with me showing me all the inventory, and answered all my questions about the vehicle I had chosen. Needless to say from all the other SUVs I tested, the Mazda was the best fit. Alex checked in a couple of days later to check if I was satisfied with my purchase and make sure I didn’t have any other concerns or questions.
I will make sure to recommend this store to anyone looking to get a new car!
Thanks!

I am in the process of buying a new vehicle and have been pricing out various makes and models. All of my other interactions have been positive. However, Ali Elyyan at San Leandro Mazda was dismissive and unhelpful. When I shared quotes from other dealerships to see what they could do, I was told they could match the quotes and that I should come in that day, which felt pushy. When I asked for the offer in writing before coming in, I was shut down and treated rudely. As someone who is exceptionally busy, I don't want to make a trip without confidence. In addition, I have no reason to trust a dealership that won't put an offer in writing (particularly when others will). Although this is the closest Mazda dealership to my place of work, I will be making a purchase at a different one. I will note that Ali emailed back to apologize, but in sales the damage is done.

My finace was called in for an interview and as soon as he got there was told that they weren't going to hire him. They told him to apply in 4-5months. Why would you bring someone in for an interview knowing you wont hire them? Could have just told him that he wasnt going to be a good fit before we wasted money on gas we don't have. Very dissapointed.

Don't buy you car here, because you won't get the most basic respect. They close at 7:30, not 8:00. Don't try to go after 6, because they don't want to serve you. The manager's three impressive words: 1. If you don't buy, there are plenty of people who will buy. 2. How many more test drives do you want? 3. I have lost my patience with you. I can't believe this is what the manager would say.

I recently had a fantastic experience at this dealership and purchased the 2024 CX 5 here for my dad.
My Service Advisor was Alex who assisted me was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, answering all my questions with patience and expertise. What really stood out was his commitment to following up after the purchase, ensuring that I was completely satisfied and addressing any additional concerns I had.
The customer service at San Leandro is truly top-notch. I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new vehicle.

I recently had my car serviced two times in the last month and have mixed reviews about their customer service. First, they have my contact info and my husband’s contact info, yet they always call or text my husband instead of me regarding my car. I literally gave them my number and watched them enter it in their system, and they always call/text my husband.
Last week I had to bring my car in and it took about a week to get the parts and the service, so they provided me with a loaner, which I thought was very nice at the time even though the car was dirty. I was so desperate so I didn’t complain because I really needed a car. My car was finally ready today after a week, but they text my husband and not me. My husband called me early in the morning to tell me my car was ready, but I was working and couldn’t come in until the end of the day.
At the end of a very stressful and busy day, I rushed in with the loaner and one of the employees asked me if I filled up the car with gas. I told him it was 3/4 full and he told me to bring back the car when it’s full. At that point, my service person started laughing which was extremely irritating. As I backed out of the driveway, I could see them laughing and making jokes about the situation.
I think there was a better way to communicate that to me. First, text me instead of my husband. Then, include in the text to not forget to fill up the car with gas even if it’s almost all the way full. Also, I just spent $4k on services on my car and I could be treated with more respect and maybe they could forget about a quarter of a tank since they’re charging ridiculous rates for services and parts anyway.
I brought back the loaner after filling it up with a quarter of gas, which they loaned to me dirty with other people’s belongings in it by the way. The service person explained the services, but there was one thing missing which I asked him about, and he told me I had declined it. I responded that I hadn’t declined it and his response was that I had forgotten that I declined it. He then reminded me that he gave me $100 off my diagnostic. He said it very pleasantly without an attitude, but it was still obnoxious.
Again, it’s not my first choice of where I’ll get my car serviced in the future.

We been to so many dealerships in search of a pre-owned vehicle from nearby Fremont to Fairfield to Modesto to Gilroy and so on. This place is nice, clean, quick, and friendly. We were greeted by Ali and were shown the 2 vehicles we came to see. Ali was very helpful during the test run drive. Ray and Ryan made the transaction easy, quick, and hassle free. Ray made sure we were comfortable with the setup of the vehicle we purchased and answered all our questions. Thank you so much guys for your help!! We recommend coming to this location.

There isn’t anything particularly BAD about this dealership but there’s nothing good. I routinely have my car maintenance done at another Mazda dealership where they do their BIG one every time. A free car wash, complimentary key battery replacements, and a car or shuttle so you don’t have to wait for hours a the shop. This place? NOTHING. And $140 for an oil change should be illegal. Especially when their prices aren’t visible on their booking website. If you’re looking to be overcharged and underwhelmed, this place is meant for you. If you’re looking for customer service, I’d look elsewhere.

The customer experience at San Leandro Mazda was superb, much to the credit of Judith Parton who helped me discover the right vehicle for my needs. I am very appreciative of and impressed by Judith and her knowledge of every vehicle, positive attitude, eagerness to help, and efficiency with every part of the sales experience. If anyone is seeking a great vehicle I recommend visiting Judith at San Leandro Mazda!

I wanted to like this place because of the good reviews. I was wrong. After two terrible service experiences that cost thousands of dollars, I would warn against going here. If you do come here for service, make sure you DO NOT sign off on the service suggestions before calling Mazda customer service. In my case, I did not know any better and felt like the agents kept coming up with convenient stories about why my car was having issues. Of course, they gave the more expensive solution first. When I brought in my car the second time for the same issue, I was informed it was not covered by their service warranty. But it was obvious that their inspection fell short the first time and something was overlooked. My advice, make sure you get a case agent from Mazda customer service. They can double check the dealership’s work and help ask the right questions, because this dealership clearly does not care to explain themselves if they think they can get money from you.
