Extremely dissatisfied with service at the San Leandro location, stood in line that stretched all the way to the parking lot for well over an hour, only one teller working. I had questions on a IRA mistake that one of their associates had made and that I needed it to be rectified before I make any more major deposits, only to be turned away. Teller told me that a manager would call me by the end of business day. Still no call and when I try to call them automated system had me on hold for 43 minutes frustrating me into hanging up.

I would like say a thousand thank you's to Patelco's San Leandro branch's loan officer Darlesia McLaughlin. I applied for a personal loan to pay off my last credit card and I came out much more knowledgeable then when I went in. Darlesia clearly and effectively explained several options to me, I must say she far exceeded my expectations. Darlesia made the loan application process seamless and answered all of my questions. She is definitely a 5 out of 5 and thanks to her I will definitely be recommending Patelco Credit Union San Leandro branch to all my friends and family

Patelco is great. I was happy to leave Wells Fargo. Patelco offers auto loans at low interest rates and buying my car with their help was easy.

I Went with my husband to have some important papers notarized. We had an appt with the the Assistant Branch Manager. This service is available to Patelco Customers. Being in the Customer Service Profession for over 30 years, I'm big on giving and receiving Quality Customer Service. She didn't even greet us. All she said was if you have the papers just sign them and waited! My husband pulled out the papers for our signatures so she could witness. She could care less and walked out the room a few times. After a while of feeling uncomfortable and a little disturbed, I asked her how are you doing? Her response was busy!! I wanted to say "I'm sorry to disturb you for doing your job!!" But I said "I'm sure you will be glad to get off". No response -- she just sat there. We finally signed the areas where our signatures were needed. She notarized them by completing a Patelco Form and crossing out the areas where she was suppose to sign as the Notary. After leaving we found out she did them incorrectly!! We talked to the company that required the notary and now we must get it done all over again! There are two areas that required a notary signature. Not only did we get poor customer service we also need to have our papers redone the right way! Note: I did say she was the Assistant Branch Manager. SMH

Worst patelco I have been in since I joined over 35 years ago. Slow people....bad inadequate computers and a ton of folks doing nothing as the line was 20 people deep and they sat idly doing zip or chatting to one another. Dude manning the door let someone in who totally ignored the long, long line. What? No one was paying attention to the details. Go to any other spot.

This place would be awesome, if they smiled once in a while...a smile can be seen even if you’re wearing a mask. In some lines of business formalities are paramount. Banking is one of them.If your handling my money, my investments and my payments I need courtesy with at least an effort toward making me feel like you enjoy your job and assisting me with my transactions. Let’s not forget, Customers wait outside in a line, against the elements to get inside to do business with you all. I have actually driven to the Berkeley location to avoid the serious, stoic, cutting eyes of the Particularly handsome guy with the ponytail/ man-bun; which I always seem to get as my teller. I should not have to extract a hello, how are you out of him.

My review is strictly for the the lady that helped me. She was very nice and professional. She explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. I can definitely say my first time experience was a positive one. Due to the pandemic, they have a long line outside if you wish to go inside to a teller. The only thing that I was not too thrilled about was the process for helping the people who have appointments. I may have waited about 10 or 15 minutes past my appointment time and when a petite woman came out, she never asked who was next. Instead, she instantly proceeded to help this couple that was standing up, which is when I had to interrupt and let her know I was there first. Mistakes happen, but the fact that she walked back-and-forth quite a few times before that couple even came into the bank indicated that she saw me but she chose not to acknowledge me. Nonetheless, I will not allow her slight lack of professionalism to impact how I feel about this new credit union.

I appreciate the branch being open and the people who are working through Covid. When I went in the service was fast, everyone was wearing a mask and social distancing. Brianne (I believe that is what she told me her name was) worked efficiently, and answered all of my questions!
