I work in an Assisted Living community and received a call from a staff member who worked in the ILS Housing/Navigation department -- the staff member held themselves poorly over the phone, asking questions about unit availability without identifying the organization they are working for. It was only after calling back the number that I was routed to the voicemail of East Bay Innovations. I respect the work that placement agencies do to serve their clients but had a poor experience today speaking to the gentleman.

iI you are on the older side but not ready to retire or want a career change. pease read this review and look carefully at EBI. Ebi is an organization with integrity and compassion. I have worked for this wonderful organization for more than 15 years. If you care for humanity and want to serve, believe me, this is the place to work!I joined EBI When I was 58 and have not regretted my choice for an instant. I have personally grown as a human being as I experience the privilege of contributing to the lives of such a unique piece of humanity. those folks who live life differently and need support. It is not only a privilege but a joy.The Leadership team is amazing, I was just supported by Tamy Ratto the Dir of Operations in a way that cared for my best interests as she ensured that what was best for EBI was responsibly addressed. Thank you so much, Tamy for the work you do not only for our consumers but all of us at EBI, and yes, not too strong a word, humanity. Your work is precious. Please feel free to email me at
[email protected] and I will give you more info so I can answer any questions you may have

Terrible place to work they exploit you. Myself and so many former coworkers quit on really bad terms with this organization. If you want ptsd then work here. If you want to work amongst healthy and mature adults/staff then run for your life. This place is crawling with abusers especially the Director and supervisors. Just awful people ?????

EBI is a great job opportunity. Support is always there, clients are wonderful, and I feel the pay is accurate for the work you do.

EBI is an incredible organization offering the highest quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We’ve been around for 25 years, advocating for more inclusion and better access for all people. We celebrate diversity of all types!

Horrible organization. I worked here for ten years; bathing, feeding, toileting clients. I took care of them when they were sick, cleaned them if they had accidents and gave them space to be themselves. After ten years of grueling work I was terminated after minor misunderstandings with a supervisor (conflict is normal amongst humans). Tom Heinz the Director told me flat out he would deny my unemployment and he did. After TEN f****** years he couldn't just let me even have the security of unemployment to help me move on to my next job. East Bay Innovations even hired an attorney to fight my unemployment...sick people manage this place. Luckily the judge ruled in my favor because she saw their reason for terminating me was petty so I got my unemployment. I really loved the clients and my coworkers, I'm still friends with some of them today but the people on top ie Director and Codirector are sociopaths.
