I've always had great service from him -- it is just a one-man shop most days. He does seem to start his day in late mornings however, so best to call or drop by after 10am.

Quoted me $300 for a 2012 Ford Edge tune up, plus $35 for a diagnosis. He called the next day to say the tune up would be $450 instead because it would be more work than he initially thought. I declined and explained that I would pick up my car. Upon arriving I pull my card and he asked, how much would I like to pay for the diagnostic, I was confused so I asked well how much is it? He said $45. When I said, I thought you said $35 yesterday, he said ok $35, mind you he never told me what was wrong with my car. Never going back to this place.

I love Mr. Lee! No matter what the problem is, he fixes it and he's fair. If the parts are to expensive where he get them from he will tell you to check around for cheaper prices and he gets the job done.

So, I delivered parts here from my job and just based off that I could tell this shop is poor quality, but I took my car here for a smog because I was recommended here by the shop I normally go to that couldn't smog at the time. When I went in he said he had several cars ahead of me, I told him I could wait, as it would be about an hour. I have a CA CARB legal air intake on my car, which I told him as I got there and after 15 minutes of me sitting around waiting he decides to tell me I should come back another time as he can't check my car with the CARB LEGAL air intake...If you don't want to do the work tell me straight away so I can leave and take my business to a shop with quality service! Worst shop I've taken my car to.

I am extremely picky about my cars. I have an Acura NSX and a Honda S2000, these two cars are my pride and joy and I spare no expenses when taking care of them. I searched long and hard to find a mechanic that I can trust. I FULLY trust and HIGHLY recommend East Bay Auto Care! Thanh was my mechanic and he was top notch! I came in for a Smog check and also had my transmission fluid flushed. Needless to say, I was thrilled with the service. Thanh was helpful in explaining each step and was fully transparent with me. He is very knowledgeable, he is a master at this craft of auto repair! He is patient and friendly, which is rare to find these days! I have finally found a go-to mechanic for all my auto needs. The prices are excellent, especially given the fact that I can truly trust them with my expensive sports cars. They have lots of working car bays and several mechanics always on staff. It was not too busy when i came in on Saturday. The waiting area was clean and spacious. The owner, Tony, also came out to greet me, we talked about cars for a long time! He's a nice guy! Again, I cant say it enough, i totally trust this place to take car of all my cars, including my Acura NSX (which retails for over $100k!). That should tell you everything you need to know!

Had a problem with my car on a Saturday. He waited for me to get it to his business and to my surprise, repaired it at a reasonable cost that day. I was so grateful and thankful. I will be giving him future business.

Avoid this place like the plague!!! The customer service needs a huge makeover. Went there for a Groupon for smog check and like the other customers, it was attitude from the start. Just felt like they were trying to rip me off from the start. They ended up failing my smog over a visual inspection for minor replacements parts. The computer passed my test. I think they wanted to sell me more items. Went to my usual smog place without any repairs and passed with flying colors. Sometime Groupon leads you to bad establishments and it ends up costing twice as much. This is a clear example.

Experience and professionalism! Lee provides great service and always find the best price & excellence quality worked. I use other mechanical shops around that area they diagnostic or troubleshooting are not clearly define cause my money wasted and time.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I will never be returning to this place. I decided to go and get an oil change since it is really close to home, and they had a Groupon. As soon as I got there I told him I just wanted a basic oil change. He was very nice and happy and gave me forms to fill out. When he told me the total cost I kindly held my phone out to him and said " I have this Groupon" as soon as he heard those words he rolled his eyes and said well there is going to be a $5 oil disposal fee that you have to pay that is not included in the Groupon. Ok fine, I'll pay disposal cost. 20 min later the same mechanic returns to me and says "Excuse me miss, I just read a note inside the engine of your car that I'm going to have to use a special oil and you have to pay an additional $60" at this point I'm livid, clearly he's trying to get over on my and rip me off.
