I been shopping in this Costco for years and we've never met such a cocky ridiculous member manager ever Mr Alvarez! Not only was he rude and acting like the CEO of Costco he had a bad attitude on his face that shows. Even his coworkers were looking at him and nodding their head as he speaks to us about our return. He automatically said no to every issue we had. Despite our reasons, as a member manager your suppose to do what you can to help your paid member with the situations not automatically No ad with attitude. San Leandro Costco we don't need another A hole manager in this store. Anyways we got help from another manager Mr lalo. He nice polite kind and he took care of our situation. Mr Alvarez you don't belong with the nice guys in this store.

Love my local Costco. Helpful and kind employees. Clean, bright, and well-ordered interior. Parking is bearable in comparison to other locations (e.g., Richmond).

Membership is worth it for the gas discount alone. Most folks don't even consider this. On top of that you don't need to add any fuel cleaning additives..

One of the previous reviews mentioned this Costco is like a "War Zone"! And I couldn't have agreed more!! First time came to visit this place (on a Saturday) after 1.25 hour drive from my home, and it was jammed packed everywhere - inside the store as well as outside! Took me about 20-30 mins to find parking (after several driving around & around while watching out for other cars and pedestrian), and inside the store almost every aisle was tight hard to move or maneuver you cart around everyone else around you! There are people with carts just like you all around trying to squeeze through each of the small aisles/pathways. My heart rate went up with so much stress trying to shop here LOL.

If you make an appointment for the tire center, don't expect them to honor it! I had an 11am appointment just for a routine complementary tire rotation, as I bought my tires from here last year. They said it would likely take an hour. It's currently 12:30pm and my car is still in the same parking space I parked it in nearly 2 hours ago! Went to check in at the desk, said it would take another hour until they get started because of their queue. What is the point of making an appointment if they don't honor the times. Horrible service, I'd rather pay to have my tires checked at a shop elsewhere than deal with these "workers".

Watch out with Jack, Thinks every minority is a shoplifter, Spoke w/Manager William, not sure he even cared, not returning, to find out, avoid this poor service location.

This review is solely based on my past few experiences on some of their food products. Today I got the salmon is a large file boneless and skinless. Cooked it for literally 10 minutes at 350°. This salmon literally taste like canned tuna, and has a texture of it to always cook my salmon, the same way same amount of time same size fillet. This is definitely giving something wrong with salmon if it's even real salmon? A couple weeks ago I bought some of their frozen fried chicken tenders , again the texture of these tenders was horrible. The flavor was horrible. It tasted like dry, unseasoned, chicken jerky that had been deep-fried to make it even more dry. I don't know what's going on with the food that Costco is selling, but I won't be buying any more meat.

This location is always busy with slow drivers but that's the customers and has nothing to do with the store itself. Costco is typically clean and quick to stack the carts in the front when carts are running low. Thank you Costco staff! My husband and I shop here once a month to grab necessities such as bottle water, toilet paper, paper towels and laundry detergent. We like how we know where everything is and try not to get tempted into buying items that are sale. My review is for the new coveted item at the food court: the chocolate chip cookie. It is $2.49. Be warned the lines are super long after you order your food at the kiosk. Be prepared to wait at least 15+ mins after you order your food. The cookie is warm and fresh. Even though I have had better cookies elsewhere, this tasted like a regular toll house cookie that was very nostalgic to me. It was big and had a slightly gooey middle. For $2.49, it is worth the calories to try and treat yourself once in a while.

Won't be coming back to this Costco: some employees get pissed at the customers when you ask them for help WHICH IS PART OF THEIR JOB. Cashier at self check got PISSED when I kindly asked her to add on a hot dog.

Whenever I go to Costco or Walmart, I have to mentally prepare myself for what I know is going to be a battle: - A battle to get there (Davis street going to either Walmart or Costco is a shtshow) - A battle to get parking - A battle to get in - A battle to maneuver your cart through the crowd - A battle to get samples - you all know what chicken apple sausage tastes like! Quit playing - A battle to get food (why does everyone crowd around when I'm just trying to get out) - A battle with my funds because every time I just am sticker shocked at how much I thought I was gonna spend vs how much was spent - A battle to get out...sometimes I just want to blast Ludacris to get people moving - And did I mention the battle to get out?! It's not a 3 way stop from the center exit, and the exit towards the gas station is always a long line. This is also the closest Costco for folks living along 880 spanning from Oakland to maybe San Lorenzo so you know it's hella crowded...especially a couple days leading into a major holiday or weekend. Despite the battle and occasional mental meltdown, Costco has some unbeatable deals, bomb soup dumplings, great clothing, and good food.

This Costco's not in the best area, with an absolute cluster of a parking lot. Once you get inside it's not so bad. Lines can run a bit long, but the signature deals are there.

Gas station here. Always busy but many registers open. Parking isn't bad and usually there are always carts available. Lots of samples.

To say the least I left this Costco embarrassed and disappointed. As always I do most of my grocery shopping at this San Leandro location. I've grown to enjoy coming here because I know where everything is at and I've never had an issue with customer service until today. I had a cart full of groceries and I started to unload them, the lady at the register scanned my membership and let me know that it was expired. At the moment I didn't have the funds to pay for it but I knew i would as soon as I got home. My membership expired a couple of days ago so i didn't think it would be a big deal since I've been a member for a long time. She then said she would check with someone to see if we could go through with the purchase. She called a gentleman named Paul. African American with a black beanie, red shirt and black Costco vest. he came to the register and she started to explain. Before she could even finish he yelled out "nah he gotta pay" he looked at me and as I was gonna say something he completely cut me off and said "YOU GOTTA PAY!". I was incredibly embarrassed because everyone around me heard what he was yelling. He then said "you gonna pay or not?" As I said "I don't have the funds for it right now" he said "aight cool" and called for someone to take my cart away.... An incredibly embarrassing experience. I would have thought that he could have at least been kind enough to find a solution or explain besides yelling out that I had to pay, but that wasn't the case. Richmond is a bit further than I like but I much rather take the extra drive than to experience something like that again with him. I hope management can reach out to share more of my experience but for the mean time I'll be sure to let more outlets know what kind of customer service is given at this location.

I wanted a single slice of pepperoni pizza. It took them 20 minutes to serve me. They served 12 other people entire pizzas and ignored me while I stood there right in front of the counter, asking for my slice. Don't go here unless you're interested in waiting a long time and being treated like you're invisible and disrespected. Would not recommend
