After having terrible experiences with three different Walgreens and two CVS pharmacies I decided to go with Costco since I'm a member who shops often for household items and gas. Why not utilize their pharmacy? I've been using the Costco pharmacy for about two years now. It's rare the line is excessively long. Refill timeframes are within reason and if they happen to be out they are able to have a fast restock of the medication. Still a content customer of the pharmacy. Plus, you can shop while waiting for your prescription(s) to be filled or refilled. They accept Good Rx in addition to your insurance if you find a cheaper price on the app for non over the counter medicines. To date I've had no issues or dissatisfaction with the staff or my experience. They are professional and efficient. If you have a few items (within reason, 10 or less) you can also pay here to avoid standing in two lines. I get gas from Costco as well. It can be a one stop shop. They have optical care and hearing aid service. I miss the photo service and ink refills.

Very bad communication skills especially from agents who dish out responses with a 'one size fits all' attitude and won't give you a chance to ask questions about your prescription as she continues to talk over you! While I realize they get busy at times but that's not the customers fault and shouldn't be given 'the brush off' when calling in enquiring about their medications! Sometimes you just wonder if the savings you receive at this Pharmacy is worth the headache, frustration and not to mention, having to deal with the attitudes! ...

Good travel vaccination program. Even with required MD visit still 50% less than all other inquiries.

Terrible customer service .The pharmacist does not care ,only takes prescription and keeps it on file .They initially told me medication will be ready in 2hours and then I call back and they can’t find my prescription on file .Talked to the pharmacy manager and all he says is , Oh I don’t know ,I don’t know what happened without any problem solving skill .Staff needs customer service training !

I was switching pharmacies because I’d had so many problems with Rite Aid and Costco was even closer to my house. Anyway I was filling out my mail order profile and when it came to putting in my insurance information my insurance company wasn’t listed in their drop down menu and neither was “other” so I was not able to finish completing it. I wrote their customer service explaining my situation and was honestly not expecting to hear back from them for weeks considering a lot of places are still short handed because of the Covid situation plus the upcoming holiday. I heard back from Sonya “tech” within 20 minutes asking me for my insurance and she would be happy to enter it for for me. Which I did and an hour later received another email stating I was all set to go. Extremely happy with the fast and courteous customer service from Sonya “tech”. If I could give more than 5 stars I would do so. Thank you again Sonya

GoodRX.com to get coupon codes and also THE BEST deals from other pharmacies on prescription medication. Trust me, it works. Costco doesn't advertise this and they claim to be "cheaper" then other pharmacy's on their retail price. It's BS, don't trust them. Also, the little Asian man (probably in his early 30's and weighs about 100 pounds) with glasses wearing the white coat needs to check his attitude and professionalism. Extremely rude especially when he came over in the middle of a conversation I had with another staff and started yelling. Later overheard him talking on the phone with a possible customer or staff on the phone telling them to check their attitude, or maybe he was talking about me but either way no customer should have to listen to that. I definitely and absolutely will NOT be coming back to San Leandro Costco Pharmacy even if I have to drive to another Costco Pharmacy. No thank you, bye.

Costco is my preferred 'drug' dealer. Generic Claritin-D 24 hour for $4.75 for 15 pills is a steal. The SL Costco pharmacy has the shortest lines compared to Concord and Antioch. They used to sell my preferred eye drops for half the price versus CVS. Customer service is always good.

I really don't know how anyone can hate on this pharmacy. I've switched from CVS to Costco for almost three years now and will never go back to drugstores pharmacy. You are encouraged, maybe required to call into the pharmacy to refill your prescriptions and usually, it'll be ready in a day or 2. If something is different, they'd call you to notify you of the new expected date. If you don't pick up your prescriptions in a week, they'll call yo remind you. The line for this place usually isn't that long and would move on fairly quickly, except for few rare occasions. The cool thing is that you can get rung up for a few items here as well when picking up prescriptions; just no alcohol unfortunately.

The first time I came here I tried to get a flu shot and was denied because I was pregnant. The flu shot is definitely recommended for pregnant women and not a protocol contraindication like they claimed it was...I happen to know the California Immunization protocol for pharmacists extremely well. Next time I came here to get some medications for my dog. When I went to refill one of his meds there were no refills...even though I'm sitting here looking at a picture of my hard copy that says 3 refills. Then they claim that the script was phoned in, not a hard copy. Well that's a lie, but if your pharmacist decided to get a verbal instead that's fine but carry over the damn refills on the verbal. My dog is now in pain because your pharmacist is lazy (or incompetent?). Just don't come here, this level of negligence is too scary to trust with your medications.

Went here to pick up a special order of Apoquel for my poor itchy dog - best price anywhere for this miracle drug for dogs who have sensitive skin which they scratch or lick for unknown reasons until they become infected. Pharmacist was very pleasant and we will be back for a refill when we need one.
