15555 E 14th St, San Leandro“I have been shopping in these stores since 2001, because the staff there are always friendly, and I always find what I am looking for, the prices are affordable for all types of public and the clothes are of good quality, in fact I have clothes that I bought since 2010 and I still wear them.”
“ODP is a quality clothing line from my hometown of Oakland Ca it's a amazing line because not only can you wear the brand the CEO also does things for the community she has backpack and free haircuts for the kids and I met the CEO when she was starting the brand and I've seen it go from shirts and hats and hoodies to a full expanded clothing line and I'm plus size girl and she's always had sizes from the kids to 4x and that was a major plus for me!”
“I was looking for a nice African outfit for a vacation trip, found Lola's African Apparel and made an appointment. She was awesome!!! She explained to me what actually would look better for me and was spot on. Also created the matching head wrap. I was very pleased and got lots of compliments! I highly recommend her!!!”
“There should be an AGL in every town! The people at AGL are truly passionate about everything they do, especially in supporting the Alameda & East Bay communities. Each and every person that walks in the door (or calls) are very well taken care of. We are blessed to have great people like AGL serving and creating positive connections and opportunities for our community.”
“Bay Thread helped me on a very tough project involving the impossible, cutting billet-proof material for a private security company. She was very timely, and beautifully thorough. Even though the R&D never reached completion, the time spent working with her was money well spent. Every penny. She is an angel.”
“Every city has brands that represent them and their culture and for the longest time, Oaklandish was the company to go to for your Oakland goods, but it's smaller shops like this that really promote a sense of community and growth. The owner of this shop is hella cool, he offers a selection of goods and regularly adds new items to his inventory. His prices are always fair and he is guaranteed to always show you something that works for you.”

1444 Broadway, Oakland“If you're looking for a local brand that feels and expresses the artistry and culture of the Bay Area, then this is the place to shop! I love the sweaters and shirts I bought here! Whether you're buying for yourself or for a significant other, then Oaklandish is the Go-To for Bay Area clothing. The customer service was great, great people to work with! I'll definitely be coming back for more unique Bay Area clothing. Thanks Oaklandish!”

1428 Park St, Alameda“Naomi and Becky do such an amazing job of keeping this place stocked with the cutest inventory. Their taste and style are just everything I want when it comes to clothing, accessorizing, gifting, and more for my kids. This place is such a local gem- love it so much!”
“I've been going here ever since I was pregnant with my son, and now expecting my next child. Conveniently located across the Prenatal care at Kaiser. They always have an adorable collection of clothes and they have Jellycat plushies! I stopped by here just to see if they had the Jellycat turtle for my son before purchasing online, and I was able to spot it right away. Everything is fairly priced as well and the workers are always nice when I am here. Happy that this place has stuck around :) picture of my pleased toddler with his new turtle attached.”
“Excellent selection and customer service. We had a rough time planning for Christmas this year. I ordered a handful of items online and they wrapped everything free of charge and had it ready to go for us. They have a large selection of dress up toys, second hand clothing, and toys that encourage imaginative play.”
“Hours on Google are usually up to date. Unbeatable prices for used children's clothing, socks, shoes, etc. They carry infant, toddler, and children's sizes. Located inside Harbor House. People who work here are so nice and friendly. I always find a handful of items to bring home for less than the price of one at a more "upscale" thrift store (and what's the point of thrifting if you're paying "new" prices for things?).”

19681 Hesperian Blvd, Hayward“Big thank you to Nat for helping us plan our gender reveal! Sorry to have put you on the spot like that. We are lucky that such a wonderful person with a big heart works for carters. This was our first time shopping here but we'll be back soon. Thanks again!”
“I often pop in here to get second hand clothes or shoes for my kids. Recently it was my son's 4th birthday and we were all home sick. He had been asking everyday for over a month if his birthday was tomorrow and if he could please have a spider stuffie. He was so sad to miss his birthday at school and I had had no time to buy him a present because we had back ti back illnesses for a month. I called Kelly's corner, they had one and asked if I could pay over the phone and have her toss it out the door to me so as not to infect anyone .she was so sweet and offered to drive the gift to my house (we lived nearby)after work. She even wrapped it in a gift bag and added a few trinkets. It made his day and meant so much to me. Thank you!”

Needless to say I'm still learning how to shop for items that are not PS5 or Steam related. Good ole Maggie eased my anxiety and made it an overall pleasant interaction. Once again. Thank you young lady. You're the bomb.”

They have a high price tag BUT I do know that this company does Hella work with the community. So yeah you'll spend a bit but it's worth it. I'd highly recommend going here for any of your oakland gear needs. 10/10.”

3277 Lakeshore Ave, Oakland“I purchased some jeans GAP online during at 50% off sale. However, one pair did not fit well and I wanted to exchange it for a slim cut. Not having had to do an online return, I text chatted with a customer service rep and she explained the steps to return the pants, reorder and pay for the new pants and that it would take up to 25 business days for my return to be processed and credit to be issued. Not wanting to deal with the process, I decided to do the exchange at a store. GAP has been closing many locations and stores are few and far in between. Luckily the nearest store was only 9 miles away at the Lakeshore area and I found a parking space down the block. There was no wait and I was able to walk up to the cashier and explained my intent to do an exchange. She said I would be credited for my purchase, but I would have to purchase the new jeans at the current price and not at the price I paid, which didn't make sense. She said she would get a manager to help me. A manager came and I explained my situation and he checked if the pants I wanted was in stock and it wasn't. So he ordered it online and it would be sent to me and processed my return. The pants went down in price so I even go a credit for the difference. I was happy to get my exchange done at the store and not have to deal with the steps required for an online return. It was not simple like a return on Amazon. Though the cashier did not understand the exchange I wanted to transact, I appreciated that the manager made the exchange transaction seamlessly.”
“I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service at this Old Navy. All of the ladies I interacted with were super helpful and friendly.I came in for essentials and was helped finding the items, the right size, and in the fitting room.”
“The employees are really friendly. Good vibe, the inside of the store is pretty cool. I love all the stuff I got here, there's something for everyone and a good selection of sizes. Unique pieces that you can't find just anywhere. The inventory changes pretty regularly so if you see something you like get it when you can!!”

5641 Bay St, Emeryville“Wanted to give a quick shoutout as the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. In particular Dom went above and beyond to offer great advice as I tried on several pairs.Unfortunately, they didn't have my (slightly uncommon) size, but he let me know they were in stock online. I trusted him and we put in an online order.Just a few days later the jeans showed up at my house and they are absolutely perfect! I expect these to last a long time, but whenever I'm ready for another pair I know where I'll be heading.”
10AM - 8PM
5606 Bay St, Emeryville“Quality Asian inspired minimalist style clothes, this brand is well known. For some, perhaps too minimalist or casual. I would suggest installing some seating for people accompanying the shoppers.”
10AM - 5PM
1420 Park St, Alameda“This is a great spot for nice kids clothes. I check here regularly for the next size up for my daughter. The staff are really nice and I love that I can also look at clothes for myself in the attached store!”
10AM - 8PM
5630 Bay St, Emeryville“The men’s store is literally separated from the women’s and children’s shop by two stores, and are not connected. Perhaps it’s the prevailing style trend but I didn’t see a lot of colors in the stores. A lot of blacks, greys, blues and some earth tones and pastels. The women’s store definitely looked like they had more attractive sales. Please add some seating for the non-shopping spouses.”
“I went in the gap store in San Leandro. To exchange a jacket I was given for Xmas they didn't have my size but a nice. young lady named Adriana helped me find one at two other stores she then called to make sure they did in fact have them she then had them put it on hold for me .. this was great customer service and I greatly appreciated her . Thank you much Adriana”
