First, I'd like to say that Fabiola is a very sweet and helpful sales representative. I am just disappointed in the quality of the product. I brought my mother here to purchase a new sofa and swivel recliner chair. She lived alone so basically the two pieces were lightly used. After about a year my 87 year old mom complained that it was difficult to use the lever to recline the chair. The lever is placed in a somewhat hard crevice to get to, but we knew that when purchasing. What we didn't know was the lever would not hold up to even two years of fairly light use. Acloser inspection I discovered the metal bar of the lever was popping through the rubber handle. It is actually painful to try and pull on the lever. So, she stopped reclining her recliner! It's of course out of warranty, but honestly a $1400 chair should hold up longer than a dead. I must say I'm wishing we had gone to a La-Z-Boy because I know those are built to last.

I've been here several times and we are now waiting for items to be made. I'm doing this review because the service was so amazing. The ladies are so smart, talented, professional and helpful (and so friendly and nice!).You don't get that kind of service these days!There were several ladies that helped us; all just fabulous. One lady, by the name of Erin, helped us on four different occasions and took it the final sale!I can't say enough about her. So sweet and helpful.Thank you, all that work at The Sofa Shop. I chose to purchase my sofa here because it was close to my house and I knew I could pop in often to take the time I needed to find the right fabrics. That said, I had a really really hard time finding the right fabric. I came in over and over but could not find an oatmeal color. They had near white, or yellowish, but not greige or oatmeal. Finally a sample showed up after my 3rd of 4th visit that had not been in the store before. In the end I could not even find a pillow fabric i liked at all. I could not figure out why the fabrics seemed dated. I was in the industry as an interior designer, and these fabrics were simply not in the here and now. Perhaps they deal in end stock (fabrics no longer produced but still large quantities available). Thats my suspicion. At the end of the day my sofa was beautiful and just the dimensions that I needed. However, after about 18 months, I can see the performance fabric is not all that. It pills and fuzzes and the whole sofa is more 'worn in' than I'd like inspite of the fact I avoided down. But I think the reason I wish I had just gone on up to Room and Board (comparable price, slightly better quality), is that when it came to purchasing my sofa, I didn't get good customer service. I had worked with some other wonderful ladies, but the one who took the order just wasn't professional. I gave myself 30 minutes until my next appointment so we'd have time. I let the person helping me know I was purchasing that day and had to leave in 30 minutes. I had one final thing to work out, but was ready to order a few minutes in. I let the lady know I was ready then proceeded to wait while she shot the breeze with some ladies who came in with their dog, but were not shopping that day (former clients I presume). Finally realizing I only had 10 minutes left I was forced to be insistent and told the lady I needed to get the order going. We were so rushed that no one explained the warranty to me. Previous customer service made it seem the warranty came with the sofa. So when I ran out of time and they wanted to sell me the warranty, I didn't do it because it was poorly communicated that it was an extra purchase not an automatic warranty. Plus by this point I was made 10 minutes late to a dr.s apt. My sofa arrived a day before major surgery and my kid peed on the sofa two weeks later. They were willing to let me retroactively purchase the protection to which I will add a star. But allas, I was in rehab, on pain meds, while homeschooling with three kids and just unable to deal with the whole situation. Wishing I had gone to Room and Board.

My wife and I shopped at three different custom sofa stores, and there is no beating the service and prices at The Sofa Shop! Audra and Fabiola were amazing in their knowledge and expertise to help us design the perfect sectional, which will neatly fit our space due to their custom offerings! Very highly recommend you stop by, and check out what they have to offer!!

I adore the Sofa Shop. Three weeks ago I ordered and already received my couch and a beautiful rug. This the second time I bought a couch at the store and the only place I will buy a couch. Love that you can order the exact size you want and so many different fabrics to choose from. Upon my recommendation, both my son and his wife and my good friends bought their couches here and they are so happy with what they bought. Fabiola is so helpful and patient as many times as I went in to decide on the fabric and the style of my couch. I am going to buy some end tables and an ottoman there next and who knows what else! Fabiola is so helpful that I feel like I have a private decorator. Each time I went in and if Fabiola wasn't there, the other sales associates would help me. I just could not make up my mind there were so many choices. I will attach some pictures of my beautiful couch and rug.

I finally bought myself a small condo and there was no off the rack couch to fit the space I had or the design I wanted. Walked into this amazing store and met Audra. She was absolutely amazing!!! We talked, I took some samples home, came back the next day and ordered my couch. She answered every question .. gave me advice on product, fabrics, design and MUCH MORE!! There is no sales pressure here..... Just a welcoming attitude to try and help provide you with what you're needing. I've had my own businesses and customer service is a huge deal to me. THE SOFA SHOP provides excellent service! And if it matters to you ... ALL MADE HERE IN THE USA.

We had a great experience at The Sofa Shop. Erin was so patient as we figured out what exactly we wanted. She gave great advice and helped us create exactly the sofa we were hoping for. It's a little nerve wracking not knowing what your sofa will look like once completed but I have to say it's everything I hoped for and more. It seems like they really stand by their products too, with offering re-stuffing services. I can't vouch for how the sofa will hold up, but at this point in time, I would recommend this store fully! We enjoyed every aspect of the shopping experience and now get the luxury of lounging on our comfy sofa every night.

I am so happy I followed my friend's recommendation and went to The Sofa Shops. I needed a specific set up for my narrow living room and Fabby helped me find the perfect sectional and chair. What sets the sofa shop apart is the many options it offers in style, size, quality and fabrics. I was able to get exactly what I wanted and hoped for. Fabby has a keen eye for design and was so patient and helpful in picking out the perfect living set. My sectional is comfortable, beautiful and functional. I have been looking for a sofa for awhile and dropped into The Sofa Shop. I had some special requirements due to my husbands bad back, so the fact that I could customize the sofa was very appealing to me. I worked with Jennifer who was great! I brought my husband in and we sat on everything in the show room, and on her recommendation chose a design and customized the sofa and pillow heights. I had a sample of your new carpet with me and we chose fabric which included 2 pillows. The choices were many, but Jennifer guided us in the right direction and it turned out to be a painless process. The sofa was finished before the due date in just under 6 weeks! Delivery was very smooth and efficient. We couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience. Thanks to everyone I spoke with at the store and special thanks to Jennifer.

I am So happy that my friends recommended the Sofa Shop in San Juan. I have a condo with a very small living room space and was always difficult to try and find regular sofas and or loveseats to fit. I finally went into the store and had a great conversation with Elizabeth and she was able to help me pick out a sofa that was perfect for my area. I ended up getting a sectional that fit exactly as I wanted it to in the beautiful pattern material and with nice contrasting pillows. I love the fact I was able to pick the arms the back the cushions the pillows and materials for my sectional. It can be a bit overwhelming when you go in there to see so many different selections but the staff there is very knowledgeable and they ask a lot of questions and they are able to determine what you're looking for based on your feedback. More importantly the service they use to deliver my furniture were excellent as I live upstairs and they had to traverse several pieces of heavy furniture at the winding staircase but they did it in record time!
