Best VW Dealer in the State. Excellent customer service and always generous with a rental when I need recall/warranty work done. They've serviced my Atlas since new and have always gotten honest work done at fair prices. Definitely recommend Capistrano -- they work hard to earn your loyalty and it shows.

Gotta give a major shout out to Nick and Chuck at Capistrano VW! They do everything possible to not only keep you satisfied, but are welcoming and offer great service! I have leased a few vehicles from this location and they have always gone above and beyond. When I lived out of the state, the other VW dealerships did not even come close. It sounds so cliche, but they do really make you feel like family. I enjoy their transparency about what is available and I don't feel like they're just trying to make a sale. I believe they want to make life-long, happy customers. Not sure how people are referring negatively in any way - especially with the service department. They are always clear with how long it will take and I really appreciate the car wash, as well as driving your car up front when it's ready. I don't think people understand that not all places do that. The little touches at the dealership are great too, like the complimentary coffee bar, hot chocolate, and chilled water. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place! Thanks for being so awesome!

My friends at Volkswagen were very helpful and really nice! Their customer service is pretty solid. Would recommend for anyone looking for a new car to pass by. Shoutout to Brad, he's great!

Zander is the best one in the service department. I have had experiences with many of the other representatives and have always had a bad experience.

Although it was a pleasure purchasing my vehicle at Capistrano Volkswagen I would highly recommend not getting your vehicle serviced there. Just over a month ago I brought my vehicle in for service asking them to check my transmission and give an overall inspection. I did get a nice service video informing me that I needed a tire and rear brakes, but no mention of transmission. They only had time to give me an oil change cause they told me they wanted to get out early cause it was the weekend. When I paid for my expensive oil change they accidentally over charged me by $200 in which it took weeks to get the money back. Not to mention they referred me to the Chrysler dealership for my future VW needs. Now just over a month later my check engine light came on for the transmission so maybe it's time to call the Chrysler dealership. Do better Capistrano Volkswagen.

I highly recommend VW Capistrano! I was not planning on being in the market for a car for years but unfortunately my daughter had an accident with my car and we needed to replace it. I was dreading the process. I was interested in the Tiguan but had not driven one before which meant I'd have to go to a dealer. (Ugh) I reached out online about a 2020 VW Tiguan SE (it was a further drive but the price was better than what I was seeing locally) and was immediately responded to, confirming it was still available and even sent a great video of the car taken right then. I made an appointment later that day to test drive and met Chuck - who was just GREAT! No pressure at all ever. Just answered all questions and took us out for the test drive. This was the 1st car we looked at and made the decision to buy that night. They called to to go over the documents next day, which I was able to complete from home and the car was delivered that afternoon! After purchase, I received emails with access to the carfax report for my car, the certified used report and more. A selling point for me was an extra 2 years of warranty on top of the year left. It was definitely the best car buying experience I have ever had! Made the traumatic accident experience a little easier in the end!

I bought my car here about a month ago and needed to take it in because I was having a Bluetooth issue. It was a pleasure to be assisted by Arlen. He resolved the issue I was having the same day and also topped off my windshield wiper fluids, and he even had my car washed. Talk about great service!! Thank you Arlen.

Richard Kim is amazing! He made the entire buying process easy and stress free. We even were able to get in and out of the dealership quickly. We even took a few days to be able to sell our other vehicle and he made sure the car we wanted wasn't able to be purchased by anyone else. Go see Richard for your next vehicle and you won't be disappointed.

By far the best dealership around! They have fair prices, amazing service and made the car buying process fast and seamless. The entire staff is so kind, and helpful. I couldn't recommend this dealership more.

I was warned by a friend to not go to Capistrano VW for service. But I had no choice. I purchased a replacement key for our 2011 Jetta and was told I'd be called when it arrived. After three weeks I called and was told, "Oh, it came in two days after you ordered it." Then, I made an appointment for programming and was told we could wait as the process would take an hour. I sent my son with the car and he was stuck for 4 1/2 hours. Completely unacceptable, especially considering that the key+programming was over $400--for a simple key. No one apologized. Instead, they tried to sell even more service like $220 to determine why a tail light isn't working. Exceptionally poor customer service.

This is hands down the worst customer service when it comes to the service department. This dealership will take appointments online and cancel them day of because they are overbooked. This has happened to me 4 times. The staff is so rude. Especially Fred Evans. He slammed the door in my face and failed to mention I needed less than half a tank to do a recall on my Taos.

I've been servicing my 2015 and 2016 GTI since new and now the 2015 and 2023 GTI. They have always done good work except constantly trying to upsell service but I get it they are in it to make money (told me that cooling system was leaking and showed me half empty coolant recovery tank with the engine hot - it's supposed to be checked with engine cold and was completely normal and has been fine for past 3 years). My brand new 2023 GTI had a malfunction at 100 miles. Made an appointment and took it in and the surly guy at the desk said that I did not have an appointment and couldn't do anything. Showed him the email and he acted like he was doing me a favor. They corrected the car so gave them a pass -maybe they were having a bad day or something. My wife took the car for oil change today and the exact same story - no appointment and will have to wait 2 hours. Never mind that someone called me to remind me about the appointment. Showed them the email and still no go - appointment doesn't mean the car is going to be service at that time.I have no idea what happened to them but their service and the people who work behind the counter are the absolute worst - just plain mean without any regard to customer service. Absolutely will never go back there to buy another car or service a car ever. The dealership obviously does not care about customers anymore and there are plenty of other VW dealers in Orange County.

We had a great experience at Capistrano Volkswagen. Edward/Eduard Golubiievskyi was so helpful, patient, kind, and professional. The sales manager was very welcoming. Everyone including in finance department was amazing. We were well taken care of !!! When you're planning to buy a car, ask for Edward!

I have a service contract on my car that provides a free oil change at any vw dealership. I have always dealt with Jeff as my service rep but he is no longer there (he was great) so they put me with Fred. I had a horrible experience with him. . He was annoyed that he had to call and get authorization from the service contract and then threw the paper at me once it was approved. Then he came to me and told me that I needed front and rear brakes because there were only 2% remaining. I did not authorize the work because the quote was very high. He raised his voice and told me not to drive the damn car then or I would have to come back and it would be over $1000. I took the car the following day to bridgestone in mission viejo to get the work done. They told me I had 70% on the front brakes and only the rear brakes needed to be replaced and so I had those replaced plus a transmission service for way less than what Fred quoted. He was very rude to me and I understand that he is known for this. I no longer trust their service dept because they lied about my front brakes. It was very disappointing.

Recently got my first Volkswagen from this dealer. I had been looking around for a Tiguan for a while now and Capo VW made it possible! Nick and Buddy were both amazing during the process and made it worth waiting for. I definitely will be recommending my friends to Capo Vw!
