I do not advise you to contact this shop; they deceive people who do not understand into the cars and charge prices for their work x2 that are provided on the market.
My friend turned to them for repair engine, and in the end they made him an engine for $6,000. After repair engine had oil leaks from head gasket, front timing cover and valve cover and there is vibration throughout the body (added photo).
I brought it to them for repairs, they accepted it and said that they would give an answer within 2 days, but for 2 days no one called, I had to call myself. They answered that it would be ready in 2-3 days, again no one called and they said to wait another 2-3 days because there was a lot of work and they needed more time to replace the sealant front timing cover. After 3 days I came to their service and saw that during all this time they had only changed the valve cover gasket, although this can be done in 1 hour by an experienced mechanic, well, let it take 1 day, and not 1.5 weeks to replace the damn valve cover gasket.
Bonus:
I asked to change 2 sway bar links, they told me that will be cost $68 for this work, as a result, the sway bar links that I brought did not fit and I brought them only 1 sway bar links to replace, and for this they wanted to charge me the full price for 2 sway bar links.
After their repair, the car is dirty both outside and inside (photo added).
For your peace of mind, better run away from this shop!!!

Great auto shop! My right mirror was torn off and needed to be completely replaced and rewired. Alex was super helpful, I called the shop number and he got me in and my car fixed in the same day. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for an honest, reliable automatic shop. You found one. I took my car for a brake job. They checked both front and rear pads and told me I still have 3 or 4 months to go. Just a note, they didn't charge me for checking I am going to take my other cars to them

I had a wonderful experience today at Capistrano Transmission & Auto Repair. Alex, Roger, and Cesar were so helpful and went above and beyond and had excellent communication (and the prices are great). They made a return customer out of me! Thank you for making things so easy for me.

Capistrano Transmission is amazing. They were able to replace my fathers transmission for a great price and a timely manner. Alex was very communicative and kept us in the loop on the job. He even gave my father a ride home when he dropped off the car, now that's above and beyond service. A few months after the transmission replacement and no issues. Cesar was also very informative when it came to explaining the diagnosed issue. I recommend this place for the good work and great customer service.

I really appreciate Alex, Roger, and Cesar for taking such great care of my challenger. They took the time to figure out what was wrong instead of just trying to replace my transmission, and discovered that it was just a minor problem. In these same reviews they indicate that the inspection is free, I went there for the reviews and when I arrived I asked again if the inspection is free and they told me if it is and we will give you the diagnosis of what the car has, I left it and they called me to pick it up, when doing so they told me I must pay it is $85 and it wasn't free? It's not $85, ok I pay and I tell them, give me a printed estimate and diagnosis report, they refused, they didn't want to give it to me, because they were already telling me in words, I had to ask for it 3 times, it's already annoying, I'm paying for a review that wasn't "free as they say" and the most obvious thing is that they give me my document. They gave it to me reluctantly, the estimate is expensive more than half of what the car is worth, and they gave me the car without checking it with me in person, they only parked it in front, when driving it the transmission failed more often than when I delivered it in in the morning and the engine cover was left open, I had to stop a few meters away to close it, a total danger, misleading offer, unfair treatment, refusal to deliver results, poor review, untrustworthy people, I don't remember their names, but the man who refused to give me the inspection report of the car that I paid for, my arm was hurt. I definitely do not recommend it, total distrust.

Capistrano Transmission is an amazing shop. After shopping around for a 2007 Allison Transmission service and filter kits they were priced very fairly. The best part is they performed the work in a time crunch to leave on vacation. There was an issue with the parts house delivering incorrect filters and they went over and above expectations and traveled to pick up the correct parts and stayed well into the evening to deliver as promised. This saved my vacation trip out of state while towing another vehicle. Very professional and personable at the same time.Service: Transmission

Took my Forester XT here after trying the dealership first to diagnose and repair my transmission and the dealership presented a $9000 estimate which was insane for a 10 year old car. Asked Alex for a quote and provided a few different options using inspected and warrantied used transmissions and provided a very fair and reasonable quote that was less than half what the dealership wanted along with no wait time to start when the dealership said that they'd get around to it in a few weeks. We settled on a lower mileage transmission with a 6 month/6000 miles warranty. Provided good updates with explanations page pictures when necessary like when he mentioned that they'd need to replace a few seals that weren't originally included with the quote which were also very reasonably priced. We ended up spending about $4300 or so all in for the transmission, 14 quarts of new high torque fluid, new seals, and labor. All in all, a good experience, honest and fair price for repairs, and would recommend them for not just transmission repairs but also standard auto repair. Only thing that I'm not leaving 5 stars for is that the interior was left a little dirty but considering everything, it was quite the negative experience with the dealership, the friendliness and service that we received from Capistrano Transmission made up for a little bit of cleaning we had to do after the fact.
