My experience buying a new CX-5 couldn’t have been any better! Emon in sales was very helpful and low pressure. He worked with me to put a hold on the car that I wanted and got me a great deal after I didn’t qualify for any of the Mazda discounts mostly over text/phone. He was also patient when I forgot my title on my trade in and helped make arrangements for the dealer to get me a replacement right there. Also got a better offer on my trade in than CarMax and Carvana. Everyone on the team including finance made the process low stress and efficient. I was in and out in about 2 hours which was a lot quicker than my last experience. They are a little further from me but I am definitely happy with my choice to purchase at Capo. I am also very happy with the car I chose. I was surprised that the base model had everything I was used to having before in my luxury SUV!

Otto is an outstanding salesman who cuts to the chase, no pressure, no bs, no lying or manipulation or disclosure of hidden fees. He is the real deal, although I was already happy with the deal he presented us. He still voluntarily marked down the price by $300 after realizing the fact that I have a newborn. He was generous enough that he paid for two of my new Mazda keychains and gifted me a $25 gas card. Could not say I would have had a better experience if it weren’t for Otto. He financed me a 2024 CX5 off the dealer at 33k (34k with gap insurance) for a listed price of $29k. A huge difference from Mazda of Fontana where they tried to pressure me to finance a 2023 Mazda CX5 of 12,000 miles for $32k when the vehicle was priced at $22k online. Otto is not in the business of selling cars but in the business of helping others. Thank you Otto for your service and strongly recommend him for any car buyers who want a smooth nonchalant experience.

My husband and I had the nicest car buying experience ever! Shannon and her team were aces from start to finish. We knew exactly what we wanted so we started the process through the digital showroom and wrapped it up in person. If you aren’t sure what you want, Shannon is amazing and can help! It was a low stress and low pressure day. Great music in the building by the way. My only “complaint” was the parking is a little hidden, so ask for guidance. Of course, they have a ton of cars to choose from which is a good reason to have less parking. Highly recommend this dealership over all other Mazda’s and Shannon to guide you.

We had such a great experience and great service at capo Mazda with Otto and Moe, as first time buyers. They took care of our needs and matched us with our dream car. Worth the long drive for great service and attention

Friendly sales and smooth process. Marcin helped us complete our trade-in for a new MX-5, and the whole process was pleasant. He cared about our needs and thought from our point of views. I highly recommend this place.

I was shopping around to get a red 2024 Miata. Calling the San Juan Capistrano dealership was just perfect. Otto answered the phone and helped me all the way from helping me with questions to finalizing the deal. Everybody there was great, polite, friendly, going above and beyond.
All around best price and attentive to clients’ questions.
Many thanks, Otto, for delivering my car in Santa Monica.
Recommended.

Don’t expect customer service from the financing team at Capo Mazda.
My fiancé and I leased 5 cars at Capo Mazda, and had an incredible experience with our salesperson, Farouz. Unfortunately, the financing team is willing to throw away their sales team’s hard work and customer service.
The same day I turned in my vehicle, I did a final maintenance. During the maintenance, I mistakenly approved brake and filter replacements, which were not required ($490) for turn in. I also had pre-paid maintenances I had not used (3 of 8 used). I asked if I could apply the difference to my pre-paid maintenances, and was told no. I was directed to the financing team to ask if they could do anything about the cost (since the brake and filter replacement would be necessary for them to service anyways). They said no, their hands were tied from doing anything.
When I turned in my lease, I asked what the procedure was to get a refund on my pre-paid maintenance, but was told by an associate that they don’t do refunds. I explained when we leased the cars, the person who finalized our contracts, AJ, had explained if the maintenance weren’t all used, we would be refunded. The associate went and spoke with one of the financing people, who came out and said no that is not our policy. After expressing frustration, and going back and forth, he asked if I had pre-paid my services at Capo Mazda (as if I could pre-pay maintenance on a lease elsewhere) and immediately changed his recollection of policy, and gave me a number to call.
I connected with the provided phone number, Mazda Financial, who explained that I was within the final day to submit for a refund, however it had to be done online. When I went to fill out the online form, it required a Letter of Lien Release. I called Capo Mazda to speak with a financing person about this, and couldn’t get through for over 4 hours. Eventually, I spoke with a sales associate who was helpful and said he would leave a note to call back. No call back that day. I submitted the form, as the deadline was approaching, with documentation of my lease, my pre-paid maintenance, and the Mazda online portal reflecting zero payments due.
I spent the next day trying to contact Capo Mazda to speak with a financing team member, but I would only get voicemails. I called the following day, and spoke with another sales associate who did the same favor of leaving a note and writing an email. No response.
A day later, I received a denial of refund for the pre-paid maintenance. We called and spoke with the same person at Mazda Financial, who was helpful, but now said that they had denied it because it was late, despite it being submitted the same day we previously spoke.
It’s really disappointing that we received this customer service, from the extra maintenance cost to refunding the pre-paid maintenance, after having such a great experience up until then. I would hope ownership will take responsibility because it seems like not everyone at Capo Mazda has this level of indifference to helping a loyal customer navigate their system.

I had high hopes when I first contacted Capistrano Mazda again. Our sales associate, Marcin, seemed friendly over the phone. I got a Mazda CX-30 in 2022 working with Marcin, so I am a returning client. However, my recent experience was a complete disappointment.
Once we arrived and test-drove a couple of cars I was really interested in, things shifted. Marcin tried to tell me that my current Mazda lease, which expires in February 2025, was $6,000 in the negative. This was both surprising and concerning. When I expressed interest in a specific car, he responded with, "You're not going to like the price of that." So? I do my research before visiting dealerships and know what I can and can't afford.
Despite my clear interest, Marcin didn’t even attempt to work out a deal with me. Instead, he suggested I shouldn’t bother coming back to return my lease until February.
Feeling disheartened, I went to Tuttle Click Mazda in Irvine. They immediately informed me that my car had no negative equity and were willing to buy it back without any penalties. They worked out a deal with me on a new CX-50, which I happily took home yesterday!!
All in all, I’m unsure if Capistrano Mazda doesn’t want to sell their cars or if Marcin simply didn’t have the time for a serious buyer like me. I was thoroughly disappointed with the service and experience at Capistrano Mazda and will now be visiting the Mazda in Irvine for the rest of my services. If you're in the market for a Mazda, I wouldn't recommend this location or at least having Marcin 'help' you.

Great communication and upfront pricing. I had scheduled a time to purchase a car at 4pm, unfortunately they sold it before I got there. I understand it's business but would have loved to have some sort of reservation system. Still giving 5 stars due to communication and transparency, no nonsense/frills.

Otto helped us with test drive and the purchase process from a to z. Everyone else at the dealership was courteous and friendly—it was an extremely busy weekend, so Otto offered to have us back to further explain the features of our CX-30 the next day. It was a great, hassle free experience. We are so happy with the car itself as well!! Thank you so much.

Rick, Diego, & John and the rest of the team at Capo Mazda were quite helpful, friendly and never pushy about making a sale throughout the whole car buying process and experience.
They were very accommodating and patient with us and gave us the time to make and finalize our decision before pulling the trigger on our new CX-90.

So I applied for a position for this place and its been almost 3 weeks they haven't called me. After the have continuously said 3 different times that they would call me.
I emailed the owner about my experience and how I found this more disrespectful then anything. he started blaming this on how every dealer ship got effected by the Global Dealership computer shut down, from GDK. which maybe be true. I am not doubting that.
The fact though that you can't call someone back and verbally communicate it acutely that a technical issue happed, is just beyond disappointing to me.
before applying, I have brought my car into the service department multiple times. always have a great experience. people were extremely nice. this one bad experience though was a no tolerance to me. I am never bring my car here again.
All dealerships deserve to go bankrupt. the way they just rip people off and are greedy. they do not have your best interest in mind.

Man all I have to say is what a great experience. Otto is THE best at what he does, so if you ever want to buy a car from capo Mazda ask for Otto he is absolutely 5 stars in every aspect. Can’t forget about Tom, he’s also so awesome and is very customer oriented. That’s why I love this place. Thank you Otto for my new CX50!! You were the best. 5 stars all the way.
