DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!
My wife bought a dress and other items recently from Utopia in San Juan Bautista for a total, of $258. Came home to find the dress was cut and frayed all, around the bottom. Paid $120 plus tax for the dress, made in China…..not a vintage fashion dress. I went with her to the store today to return the dress and ask for a refund. My wife asked to speak to the owner and was told that they were not available. The person at the counter gave us three different stories as to who was the owner and when they would be back in. Within minutes of leaving the shop my wife received two phone calls and received a text accusing her of damaging the dress. Amazing that the owner was not available why we were there but “magically” Tina could be contacted when we left and then have the audacity to shamelessly lie about knowingly selling damaged merchandise at obscenely inflated prices and accuse my wife of damaging the dress, rather than have a conversation with my wife and have the decency to take accountability for the issue. The dress was left at the store with the tags attached along with a letter asking for a refund.
Vintage and pre worn does not mean selling defective merchandise. The behavior of the owner is SHAMELESS, CLASSLESS, UNETHICAL, DISHONEST, and DEPLORABLE. This appears to be a common practice of this business based upon a statement that the clerk made, “what do I expect, this is a vintage store.” For $120 at any store, I expect it is not cut and damaged at the bottom. It appears they mark up prices at least 500 percent.
Take care to spend your money with retailers who will deal straightforward and honestly with you.

Love this SJB gem! Every time we go in, we find a great piece or two or three for home or wardrobe. Give yourself some time to walk around and not miss anything! Customer service no matter who welcomes you in or helps you at register, is very welcoming!

This place is so adorable! The girl working there was unbelievably sweet and they had such a great selection of high quality merchandise. Their prices are also really good! I find it hard to find nice boutiques with thrifted goods that they do not upcharge a ton. This place is very reasonably priced and definitely worth going to!!

I bought a “sterling silver” ring and it got all rusty and ugly. I’m only complaining because it was expensive. I have gotten sterling silver rings and they have never gotten like that. I didn’t bother bringing it back because I lost the receipt.

Cute shop, carefully curated! Easily one of my favorite shops to visit in San Juan Bautista. A large selection of vintage & imported goods. My favorites sections include jewelry and Guatemalan artisan pieces. Friendly customer service as well.

Omg I LOVE this store. They have fair trade jewelry and new and vintage clothes. It's a co op so each section of the store has unique offerings.
