I have to say that I was so nervous at first to put my little one in daycare. I did so much research with many daycares and I decided on SJB Water District. The first time I met with the Director Claudia for orientation she acknowledged my little one, said hi to my little one and got toys. Then she introduced me to my little ones teacher Ms. Dieu. Ms. Dieu is so sweet and nice, she right away said hello and reassured me that my little one was going to be ok. Ms. Nga is another staff member that is also very nice. I have seen her help in my little ones classroom, and she is kind to the kids. When I drop off my son Ms. Elizabeth is in the classroom and I like how she says hello to my little one and when it's time for me to leave she picks him up and holds him to comfort him. I really like that about her because it makes me feel tranquil knowing she will comfort my little one and that also makes my little one feel like someone else cares for him when I am not there. Ms. Inez is so sweet and caring. I like how she keeps me updated through out the day (through the app) about my little ones day. Meals, diaper changes, nap time and what I absolute adore are the happy pictures of my little one doing day activities and she also attaches what they are working on for that day. Thank you to the staff that continue to help my little one.

This place is absolutely wonderful. We lived in Los Angeles before moving to San Jose and explored dozens of daycares in Los Angeles and many in San Jose. The SJB Water District Child Development Center is miles ahead of the others and by far, the best. The Director and all the teachers are warm, caring, thoughtful, and attentive and all bonded quickly with our son. It was such a relief to have our son enrolled here and know he was well taken care of. We are moving North and I'm so sad to leave this magical place. Our 2.5-year-old son loved it and made significant progress with potty training there! He'd wake up every morning and say "Yay! PRE-COOL Time!"

SJB Water District is an absolute gem for parents like me who were searching for a reliable and loving daycare for our little one. From the very first day, I knew I had made the right choice. Also, they receive gold standard from Quality Matters, a program to rate daycares by Santa Clara County Education Department and other partners. The staff here is incredibly caring, attentive, and patient. Thank you Ms. Dieu, Ms. Nga, and Ms. Maribel. They are not just caretakers; they are genuine caregivers who treat every baby as if they were their own. The love and attention they give to each child are heartwarming. They take the time to understand each baby's unique needs and ensure they receive personalized care, especially my baby's feeding's situation is tricky! My baby refused bottle pretty badly at one point, they changed it up to straw cup, and even patiently spoon feed her, trying their best to ensure her adequate amount of milk intake. My baby is always engaged in fun and educational play, which I believe has contributed to their development. I have noticed significant improvements in her motor and social skills since joining the daycare. They also have couple hours event with different theme almost each month, and invite parents to participate, such as Earth day, yoga with kid, etc. Communication with the daycare has been outstanding. Claudia responses to email immediately and very easy to reach out with any questions or concern. The daily reports, including meals, nap times, and diaper change, kept me well-informed about my child's day. They regularly update her developmental progress and insights, allowing me to stay involved in her growth and celebrate her achievements together, following ASQ. The staff also made themselves available for any questions or concerns I had, which greatly reassured me as a parent.Choosing a daycare can be a daunting task, especially for a little one, but I can confidently say that SJB Water District goes above and beyond expectations. The love, care, and attention they provide are unmatched, and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

The teachers and staff at this preschool have a genuine care and passion for what they do. They ensure regular communication through updates, newsletters, and parent-teacher meetings. And keep parents well-informed and encourage active participation in class topics and discussions. The classrooms are bright, spacious, and designed with thoughtful consideration for child development at each age and stage. The outdoor play areas are well maintained, providing an environment where children can explore. For parents in search of a preschool that goes above and beyond, this is the one. With dedicated teachers, excellent facilities, and a strong sense of community, it truly stands out as exceptional.

SJB was the first place that my husband and I trusted our son with who wasn't family. We were there a year and we really liked it. The classrooms were nice and the teachers were very friendly, even teachers who had never knew my son would say hi or bye to him by name. He always felt so welcome and comfortable there. I would recommend this school to many and we were extremely sad when we had to leave but very thankful to all the staff for always showing him so much love and care while he was there.

I couldn't ask for a better preschool environment for my 3-year-old twins. I have one boy and one girl. My daughter is very easy going and follows instructions well. However, my son, is a bit more challenging. All of the teachers work amazingly well with my son. As a mom, we sometimes feel our child may not be treated right because they are more rambunctious than others... but I never have that feeling with this center. The fact that my son runs to his class and is excited to attend every day, tells me that he is in good care. Since attending this center, I have actually seen improvement with my son. The teachers have great communication with me, and we work together as a team. They have an awesome academic structure, and the indoor layout is very clean and organized. The fact they provide all meals is a plus! I highly recommend bringing your child/children here.... They are amazing!

The Water District program is a complete gem of the Almaden Valley. What I appreciate most, besides the loving teachers and beautiful clean environment they provided for my son, was the fact that they follow the Santa Clara County Office of Education mandates and regulations for early childhood development and kindergarten readiness. I just highly recommend this school. I cannot say enough about it.

Where can I start! The moment I was pregnant I immediately thought to myself, who can I put my trust to, for the care of my newborn baby. This took months of my pregnancy, contemplating, even once my baby was here I still needed time. I had called so many child cares for an infant care opening and I just couldn't end my search. I then continued to look. I personally know a lot of teachers of my own and I kept hearing a lot of them say the name Ms. Dieu and how amazing and attentive she is with the children in her care (daughter 3 months at the time). Someone who is high recommended by many, why not try. I continued to hear this from several people. I looked and looked and it was that moment I met Ms. Dieu I knew she would be the perfect choice. As I started to drop off my infant I felt ok, I felt safe, I felt my baby was taken care of. Every morning from the day as my daughter grew and is still growing (currently 16 months with Ms. Dieu) my daughter continues to smile and have a wonderful self esteem. Thank you to Ms. Dieu, Ms. Nga & Ms. Sabrina for making my baby feel welcome and safe. Not only does her smile show it but her confident personality!!!! If you are a first time mom or even having a new born and worrisome you will not regret it!!!!

We started our son here during COVID when I had to return to work and very few daycare centers were open or accepting new students. The initial transition was tough but after talking with Ms Dieu we were able to see that our little one was being taken care of well and find a routine that worked for us all. Our son has since moved through 3 of the 4 rooms (infant, mobile infant, toddler, and preschool). He has grown and learned so much from all of his teachers. We have seen him accomplish new tasks regularly and his teachers have gone above and beyond to point out things he does and on a daily basis- like helping with a task or how he liked an activity that day. This was especially helpful when during COVID when classroom involvement was so limited. We have seen SO much growth in the last few months especially and our son loves his current teachers.

My son and daughter attended this preschool. My daughter who was 5 did fine. She is also very easy going and will follow directions fine. My son who was 2/3 attended didn't do well at all. He was a very active boy. Layout of the school is very open. A lot of room to run inside, climb and jump. When he attended they were having teachers coming and going. Program director changed about 3 times within maybe a 5 month spanned. First PD was there went on vacation and never returned. Schedule of the program changed a bunch of times as well. Whole situation was very unstructured which did help my son. Then, we got transfer to a different school and once again main PD left. Staff turn around was horrible. I could not manage my full time job due to school issues with my son and staff not being able to give my son structure and keep a 3 year old engaged. At one point, I asked my job to take family leave because, of all the school issues. I finally ended up saying this school isn't the right fit, looking back my son acted up due to the school not because, he has issues. Very stressful times. We drive by the school daily and my son will say "look my old school I don't like it" My son has been in a new school since this horrible experience and has thrived! no issues what so ever. I would NOT suggest this school unless your child can sit, be quite and can completely follow instructions. My son being 3 couldn't and this wasn't a good fit for him.
