I wanted to just come and say thank you so much for taking my phone call and answering all my questions. Sincerely a kind shop! I know sometimes when calling it’s a harder conversation to have than when one is face to face. But best customer service! I will be stopping by soon.

A quick phone call in and I was met with quite a rude and know-it-all attitude from shop owner Vic. I asked a simple and straightforward question about whether or not the shop had any 100oz Engelhard Silver Bars. Vic stated they deal only in selling legal tender coins. I then asked a follow up question about whether or not they would buy back vintage private refiner bars and rounds and Vic responded "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... HAHAHAHAH.. HAHAHA... I think you just asked me the same question. Are you trying to prank me? HAHAHAHA. Okay. Have a nice day." I then rudely interrupted his rude interruption and stated "No, Vic. Buying and selling are not the same thing." Vic continued to ridicule me about my otherwise innocent and professionally-asked question. Well, Vic... I hate to break it to you, but buying and selling are not the same thing and there are shops who buy certain stuff and sell certain stuff and what they buy and sell are not always the same thing. Thanks for spending 3 minutes explaining in a rude way how limited and behind the times your shop is when it could've been politely explained to me in 1 minute. I know your automated response to me will be "good luck to me" so I say the same back to you -- truly wish you the best of luck and hope you're able to keep the customer's you've got happy, because with the attitude I was met with today, I'm certainly not going to be one.
EDIT: Reply to Vic's Reply -- Okay, so the phone call was 2 minutes, not 3 minutes. But you don't disagree you were rude as hell and that I didn't need to repeat my DIFFERENT question FOUR times. Imagine how quick the call would have been if you just answered my question clearly with no attitude and with a grain of respect? Thirty seconds. Plus, I wouldn't have to spend another 5 minutes writing this review and another 5 minutes replying to your halfass response, which clearly indicates that my constructive feedback went way over your self-absorbed head. Wishing you the very day that you deserve sir!

Vic is very nice, and he's honest.He deals with his customers personally and he provides excellent customer service.Whenever I have silver coins that I want to sell I take them to Vic exclusively because I know he will offer me a fair price for them.

I walked & the shelves were completely empty giving me a weird vibe. Then Vic presented himself & we had a brief conversation. Vic doesn't seem like a bad guy but made it clear that buying silver from him was near impossible. He gave me the whole demand run around & that he sells out instantly. He also made it clear that he reserves his stock for his regulars & not walk-ins like me. I'm not quoting him word for word but that was the message I received. I even took his advice about calling in advance & that I could call when they first open. He discouraged my attempt of doing future business & recommended for me to check google for other places. I took his advice by going to San Jose Coin. SJC was the experience I was looking for! Plenty of stock & I got to hold each time prior to purchase. SJC is amazing! Conclusion, don't go to Vic's if your new stacking metals. Maybe he treats high rollers different but that's not a place for casual collectors. I will never go back to Vic's but I'm looking forward to spending my money at SJC.

Even in responding to my review, he is lying. The coins were perfect. Had no orange "anything." And the shop who bought them from me was honest and made ZERO comments on any issues with the coins because...they were perfect. Vic, stop lying.

This is by far the worst coin shop I have ever had the displeasure to visit. I have been to this shop 2 times in the past year with today being my final visit. The shop never has inventory. Absolutely bare. The first time I visited I was advised that the store had just sold out all silver coins. I am interested in collecting silver coins so I did not ask about gold. The gentleman behind the counter advised me that he did not know when the store would have any coins for sale. I took his story as fact and left the store. That was several months ago. When I went in today, I was met with the same bare store and the same story about the store having just sold out the last of their inventory. The gentleman was clearly only interested in having me leave the store as quickly as possible. No inventory and zero customer service. I have absolutely no intention of ever visiting this so called coin shop again.

One customer at a time is not very conducive to selling merchandise unless you are a high end luxury car dealer. It would have been nice to be able to "look" while you were assisting other customers. I recommend you dump this policy asap.

I visited Vic's coin shop with my deceased father's coin collection, based upon the overall good reviews on Yelp. Vic did not disappoint. He was very efficient and thorough in explaining the value of our coins, counted everything twice, and gave us a very fair price for our collection. I would recommend highly.
