Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff....the yard is filled with a vast variety of stones and other landscaping materials at reasonable prices. The best selection of rocks of various sizes we could find in the Bay Area. Self-service for soil and other landscaping materials. Never disappoint for us whenever we visit. Such a gem!

They sell both in bulk and in small amount. We bought small amount for gardening. First, we got the empty bag from the office and then fill the bag with the rock by ourselves (self-service) It is best to bring gloves and wear shoes that can get dusty. You can borrow a shovel from the front office. Price is reasonable, a lot cheaper than big box stores.

I bought a few boulders for a yard project. This place had the best selection of the 4 rockeries I visited. The delivery service was great, the gentleman who did the forklift placement was very careful when doing delivery and precise with the exact position and orientation we wanted when placing the boulders.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I decided to do a rock painting party for my daughter's 12 birthday party. Craft store are way too expensive and they don't carry large enough rocks. I called the rockery and the service was outstanding. DeAnna is extremely courteous, friendly and professional. She knew exactly what I needed and made sure that I got enough rocks for the party. I have an upcoming yard remodeling project coming up and I will be certain to go to U Save Rockey for all of my rock needs. Thanks again DeAnna!

All self serve! If you're wanting someone to do it for you, this is not it. Supplies per yard if you bring your truck they'll fill it up. Or if you just want small portions, they have bags. You grab a shovel +bags and drive to the spot for your compost, mulch, rocks etc. Fill em up and load them into your car. Go back to front office, return shovel, pay for your loaded bags and drive away.

A variety of bulk materials for your garden, landscaping, or construction. I take my pickup truck and they can dump half a yard of whatever I need in the bed. Also sell by the sack if you rather, they sell you the sack and you fill it yourself. Bring a shovel and someone to hold the sack open for you, easy peasy. Of course you can reuse your sacks for more stuff later. This is a great resource, if you need a lot of something, try the rockery before the box shop.

This review involves my experience which some might find spooky. But dear yelper read on (fair warning: not for the faint of heart --you can skip this and read the next review) So It was a Saturday when after finishing all my morning chores I decided to go to this place and get some bags of soil for my succulents. I am told they have sell it cheaper but the catch is u have to shovel your own soil. I found the idea as an adventure and so I drove here. The place is easy to find and for a 1st timer, the shop is the only building u see after passing the gate. There as u enter are merchandise and a wall with shovels. You go to the counter and tell the guy it's your first time and he will tell u which soil u would need the instructions on where to go and what to do. You tell them how many bags u want (I just needed three) and so on... I was told which soil I would need and then a direction on where to find my type of soil. I grabbed my bags, a shovel and drove to the place. There are mounds of every type of rocks, soils and gardening chips or mulch in the place. I found my area and parked about 20 paces from the mound. I was the only one there and started shoveling. I filled my bag and decide to put it in the trunk of my car. I put my hand On the door handle it felt wet and When I looked it was all bloodied up. I was shocked for a second and thought that I probably cut myself off from carrying the bag so I check the bag and there was no blood on it. I checked my fingers for a cut and even poured alcohol on my hand just to check if I hurt myself but there was nothing. I checked the shovel, nothing and then the doorhandle and there was no residue of blood in there which was totally weird. I was the only one in the area and was totally spooked so I decided to drive right next to the mound and finished up as fast as I can checking if there was someone else there. After I filled all my three bags I went to the office to pay and told the person from the counter of what happened and asked him if this weird stuff ever happened before. He said things happen. I kid u not. It is soooo weird. Soil is cheaper coz of the labor. Come for the experience? -- you decide. So Why did I not just leave? I figured it was too early to be scared --- i needed coffee.

Good selection and helpful staff. I've been there several times for both bagging rocks myself and ordering for delivery. My trick is to bring a water container to pour over the rocks to bring out the color, especially for boulders like Jasper but also smaller pebbles like pami or pixie. It gets dusty there, like all rock yards. Another suggestion if using the scale with your vehicle, call the main number with your phone if they don't notice you. Don't honk. That's just rude. They take your cars weight, then load up some boulders and go back to the scale for the new reading.

Come here if you are a healthy construction worker or you have at least two people. Instead of having a worker scoop the rocks into the bag for you they just provided you large shovels. They didn't even want to help you load the heavy bags into the trunk for me. Terrible experience. I think there will be someone pass out or break they back while doing all the heavy work themselves at their worksite and the shop will have to responsible for all the injuries. If you don't have enough workers then please don't run the business.
