Just visited the Home Depot in Cupertino. I couldn't find a particular item - it wasn't where the app says it would. The associate found it for me quickly, and even later did my self-checkout for me (I didn't ask - she just did it!)

This review is long overdue. I want to bring awareness to our community that's thinking of using Home Depot for their home remodeling to think twice about using their service. If I could give them a less than 0 rating, I would. We were enticed by the 24-month no interest offer. It started with issues because my credit card statement did not reflect that. I had to contact the rep several times before they cleared it up.The day of the demo finally came in the early part of July. The installer carelessly covered our appliances, as you can see by the small cardboards over our oven and dishwasher. The dishwasher was pulled out without unfastening the legs. Cardboards were just thrown on the floors without taping down. His tools were just left around our house at night when he left. There were bubbles in the laminate because the installer did not clean up the dust, even though we covered the parts of the house since he did not. The cabinets were not leveled therefore this delayed in getting the countertop installed. The cabinet hinges were not even. There were parts undone. There were parts undelivered. They installed the wrong crown molding. We contacted multiple people about the lack of care and poor workmanship, without most staff responding. When a rep did come by to look at the issues, he did not take any pictures. We followed up with him after a week, and that's when he asked us to send him the pictures. We didn't hear from them in over a month after many attempts through calls and emails. We were already contacting a lawyer. Someone finally called to say new materials have arrived to fix and finish the job. It took another 2 weeks after that for another installer to come out.Our kitchen was finally finished near the end of September, almost 3 months. During most of this time , we could not use our stove to cook meals. We never got an apology or follow-up from Home Depot. Looking back, we wished that we used another vendor. For the price we paid, we probably could have gotten new cabinets instead of just refacing and new doors. In summary, Home Depot was unprofessional, unresponsive, uncaring, and provided poor workmanship. We will never use them nor recommend them.

I am remodeling 2 bathrooms in my home. Paul in the plumbing department had some great suggestions and he was able to find me what I was wanting for my project and he showed me some items at a better price I was able to save some money too.. thanks Paul you were a great help ! I plan to definitely come back to the Home Depot on De Anza Blvd for all my future projects.

This store allows day workers to wonder around the cars and trucks. It is the worst home depot in santa clara County for policing this policy. You will have things stolen from your truck, I did.

Good place to buy your tools. If you have the app, it will make it a lot easier for you to find things.

So today at about 1:00pm I was at Home Depot. Not a single human cashier was being offered. I am very comfortable in self-checkout so that isn't the issue. But in spite of essentially forcing everyone, including contractors with large or clunky items, to use the self-checkout terminals in two different sections of the store, the lines were way too long and the wait to use a terminal was unacceptable. So not only do they have zero humans willing to work a cashier terminal, but they don't even open enough self checkout terminals. This is completely unacceptable. What happens to someone elderly or disabled who is not comfortable with tech?????

This 4-star review is relative to other Home Depot locations... It's still a Home Depot, so don't expect super great service. But they seem to have decent inventory and staff (while you may have to search for and find someone) are as helpful as they can possibly be.The not so great realities:* You often have to wander through isles and proactively approach staff if you need help.* Ordering online (even when the website reports they have all the items in stock) can sometimes take a day or two for them to gather. So if you have a small order and you want to pick it up today/tomorrow, just go to the store and pick up the items yourself.* The wood cutting area in the lumber section is helpful (first 2 cuts are free but if it's simple stuff, they don't always charge you for it), but sometimes they don't have staff there so you have to use hand tools to cut lumber yourself. When someone is there who can use the radial saw, they have been super helpful.Aside from that, I generally like going to this location. It's a busy store, but parking is never too hard to find. Help is never too far away. And checkout doesn't have crazy lines.Pro Tip: the website tells you where to find items (aisle number, bay number) and also what the SKU is in case you need to verify you are getting the exact item you need. Use the website in conjunction with shopping in person.

Many many thanks to Garry W. who helped me find the right type of screw to repair my barstool. I thought I could eyeball it, and Garry went out of his way to check the size (the one I had been eyeballing was wrong) and find the right one. He saved me a lot of time I would have spent going back and forth and doing a return. Thanks Garry and Home Depot!!

Not sure why this Home Depot has such low reviews. Sure, there were HD buckets everywhere because the ceiling is leaking (yay rain) and there are random merch blocking some aisles, but it's overall pretty solid once you walk away from that all.

Dropped in to buy some water softener salt and a few other items. Rolled my cart to the front of the store and saw several cashiers and a few self serve kiosks with a line about 30 feet away with 2 people waiting for the self serve and no line for the cashiers. Waited till the current customer finished and stepped forward, and the cashier said there was ONE LINE for self serve and all registers. Absolutely ZERO signs showing one line or where it starts. I got completely frustrated, left my cart there for them to restock and drove to the Ace Hardware by my house. Home Depot should figure out that of they want money, make check out clear and simple.

I purchased a Christmas tree at Home Depot a few days ago and was very impressed with the selection and quality. The store had a wide variety of trees to choose from, including both real and artificial options. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me with finding the perfect tree for my needs. The prices were fair and the checkout process was quick and easy. Overall it was a great experience.

Ive been to this Home depot a couple times, but Man did this young man get me heated. An Employee by the name of Daniel was pulling out cash from his register while we were waiting to get helped. Another employee across the way says next person in line. I raise my hand and tell the employee if we could get helped, i believed Daniel was closing out his register. Daniel ends up giving me attitude saying im not even at an open register and that he isnt going to help me. I asked what he was talking about because my coworker and i were both stacked up on his register waiting for assistance. He points at the register and says "it says Lane closed" . I told him that we were together and waiting on him. He ends up saying "Patience m************ under his breath but loud enough for me to hear it. Im not going to get into verbal arguement with some kid at home depot. I bet this isnt the first time this employee acts this way, just wanted to let home depot know what type of employees they are hiring. Didnt even bother asking for a job name when he rang us up, just put a 0. Thanks Daniel i hope you get a talking from your managememt

This store and it's people exceeded my expectations in every way. Ordered a Christmas tree online and paid for delivery. The night before someone called me to tell me they only had the floor model, would I take it? Next day- delivery person (another outside service) rejected taking the tree, as it was unboxed, so this store found an employee and sent him, Gerardo, out with a truck same day. He put it together, for me, and sadly bottom lights didn't work. He patiently took it apart and back and then amazingly called me a short while later to say he found another in San Carols, drove all the way there, and delivered it! He could not have been more polite or kind. This morning then the team calls again to make sure I have the tree I wanted. Dealing with this store is like Nordstrom, only better. Home Depot is doing something right with their employees and service and I am here for it. I would go out of my way to get to this store again- and also keep shopping there! You have a winning team and it's all about the people and service.
