Such an amazing place!! They were able to fit my dog in for an appointment within 2 days and the stylist there was so patient! She really took the time to listen to my concerns and what I wanted for my dog. He came back so soft and fluffy and well groomed!! Really happy with the services and will be going back again :))

I've been a dog trainer for 6 years, previously working at a boarding/daycare facility with a grooming salon. I've never witnessed such an awful groom and extreme post stress from It. Apollo is a service dog in training and has been my client for months, with his owners maintaining his appearance well. I know they comb him twice a day, as confirmed during a groom check-in two days ago. In this groom check in I personally combed him without struggle. I also was aware of his ear infection and owners were actively treating It. Since the groom he is shaking his head 5x more. Today's training plan was adjusted due to his stress, likely requiring additional sessions to rebuild his grooming confidence. As a young service dog in training, this experience will have a negative impact. I'm surprised that a refund wasn't immediately offered for the hack job poor Apollo received. If a client's needs exceed your current skill set, it's advisable to redirect them to someone better skilled for the groom.Picture 1 was from his previous groom. Picture 2 was just days ago.The rest of the pictures are from today’s groom.

I have tried really hard to like this place. I have them another try after two adequate experiences over a span of two years. I thought it was strange when I picked up my dog from a bath and trim. He wasn't excited to see me and he seem to scratching his right eye a bit. It wasn't until few hours later I realized his right eye was red, hard to see masked under his black fur. I tipped over 20% to only have to try to bring my dog to a vet now.

Everyone here is so amazing, my cattle dog doesn’t like her nails trimmed or ears cleaned and plucked but here it was a little to no issues for them to do so. Idk what it is but they made it so easy n simply I was impressed and amazed she came out with lil to no issues for them all. John and Blanca have such ways with dogs you’d be surprised to how much your dog will be willing to listen and let alone feel comfortable around them as I was with mines. It was her first time going to any dog grooming and it was as she has been here before. I’d definitely be coming again for those services and let alone the environment and atmosphere was quick and hassle free and worry free. Recommend for any dog owner from small Chihuahuas to big dogs as we seen Burmese mountain dog.

Didn't get the haircut we wanted. Said it was because of matting, although my wife brushes our dog every day. They did take care of our pup otherwise. He came out a little spooked, but that seems par for the course. I liked their customer service, Aside from electing to completely shave him when I asked for a trim. And it took 4 hours over the 3 hours projected. All to shave him? Couldn't that have been done in about 30 minutes. No finesse required. Shower... +30...+

I have a difficult dog who in the past has had a bite history, and I have had an extremely difficult time finding a good place to get him groomed that will work with me. This place was lovely. I came from Redwood City to try to get my dog groomed here and they did a great job.He kept the muzzle on, so I just trimmed his face a bit when I got him home, but he is clean and happy and he looks so so handsome.**Highly recommend if you have a dog, who’s difficult like mine or have had issues finding a good groomer in the past.

Called the same day and they were able to get Kaia in no problem. Great service, and she looks great! I would definitely recommend them to friends!

This place is the best! We've been going here for the past few years and our two toy poodles always come home looking like little teddy bears. I can't recommend this establishment enough!

I'm writing this review in response to the owner who is not being truthful in his reply. We brought a matted dog. Yes, they called and said he was matted and asked if they should proceed. I did say yes. What I didn't expect is that my dog would be so cut-up for lack of a better term that I had to take him to a vet where the vet themselves implied that this was beyond the pale (and that's a heck of a statement). The vet provided medication just to give you a sense of the severity. Now, I probably wouldn't be writing a 1 star review as they did disclaim the dog was matted. What they didn't disclaim as a relatively new dog owner that this was a euphemism for seriously hurt the dog. Had they said that, I would have taken our pet to a place that is a bit more compassionate and now having used another groomer, I've come to realize there is a big delta between different groomers. There is a way to cut a more matted dog but it takes a bit more time and not something the Dog Pawlor seems to want to do.Now what I'm bothered by is what the owner wrote in a response which is a lie which is what the groomer told us on the phone twice (in two different calls). The groomer apologized and said they would recoup the vet costs; I have email comms with the owner and he doesn't dispute this. I also have an email to the vet where I ask for a digital receipt for this purpose from that time. The owner is now lying and denying this in his review response. It's better if he and said they did say this but he's still not going to reimburse. This isn't cool. I hope your dog is taken care of but recognize there are multiple options and recognize if things don't go the right way, I wish you best. There are a number of great mobile grooming services and happy to recommend some offline for those dogs that may be matted or have more anxiety.PS I was bothered by the owner reneging at the time. I actually filed a small claims case online, I can include the link (but you can probably Google it). I didn't ultimately serve the papers and so it's been closed; it's just not worth my time. Lying is just not the right way to run a business, I wish them the best.Update: The owner has private messaged me and says he will sue me for telling the truth. He then said language barrier? Is this because I'm an Indian American? I replied that I've already emailed him most everything and I signed when I filed the online small claims case an affidavit vouching for these facts. As I mentioned above, I'm sure they've done great work, just recognize that if things don't work out, it's not pretty...

Our puppy suffered abrasions and multiple cuts at this salon. Even our vet was appalled. We spoke to the groomer who apologized and since our dog did have a lot of matting, we wholeheartedly accepted her sincere apology. She offered to cover the medical costs ($150) however, when I called a few weeks later the manager was extremely rude & renegade on the refund. We don't care about the refund but the rudeness, lack of compassion and ownership was shocking.Happy to share the obnoxious email I received from the manager.Edit: 1/9/22: Since the owner has replied, I want to reiterate that I am happy to share the email correspondence. We did not threaten the owner with a bad review,we acknowledged that our dog was matted - not out of negligence but more so because we are new dog owners, and I've corrected my combing method, since. We had also been to the Dog Powler on the last visit which is within the recommended grooming period, so far from neglect. The owner also stated in his email that he was about to turn the dog away. At no time did they indicate this during drop off. He has also stated we sent 6 to 7 harrassing emails - wow, what a lie. I have proof (happy to share) that I sent 3 emails and non of those emails mentioned any threats but a path to resolve this. Again, this is not a dispute about the severity of the matting and since the groomer apologized, we accepted her sincere apology but I am now concerned how she may have been treated by the owner - since she was so apologetic and offered a refund. My biggest concern is how rude and petty the owner is in addition to his lies on this thread. We never sent 6-7 threatening emails - he maybe confusing us with another customer.

Ok, I have been coming here for both of my dogs for a couple of years now but recently it has become very frustrating.1. Every time I call, I have to be on hold for a long time because they are assisting other customers, and every time I am there to pick up my babies, I have to wait because they are assisting people on the call!!!! They are resistant to hire more people! You clearly are extremely busy and your old school phone appointments don’t work these days. You either need more people or just like other businesses, purchase an application where people can go online and book appointments without the need to call and wait every time. (Look at kitchen nail spa appointment app for example)2. They don’t support apple pay or any other electronic payment. All stores, supermarkets, 7/11, everywhere, Apple pay works but not here. Again why sticking to old school business running?3. The pricing model is not transparent or clear. There is mo menu on the wall so that I know how much I should pay every time. What are the packages for small, medium large dogs? Why should we pay extra for every thing separately? There should be a package for cleaning that includes everything.4. They don’t do a good job in nails. My dogs nails are still sharp and scratchy even after the grooming. Maybe filing is needed but it happens every time.5. Not a good job at toothbrush and cleaning of the mouth. The mouth is still stinky.Grooming is really good, bath and brush is very professional. I wish they take care of those little stuff.

We took our 8 month old golden doodle to the Dog Pawlor for his first cut because it is super close to our house. Their communication over the phone was amazing, super easy to set the appointment, very friendly. Their service was also great, they recognized my wife when she came in. They did a great job handling him as well (he's not exactly calm), and laughed off his peeing on the floor as him signing the guest book (still laughing about that). Puppy was ready right in the window they estimated as well. They did a great job with the bath and brushing, he looks like a movie star. I think we need to be more specific next time about what we want as some of his cut was perfect, while other areas just weren't quite as short as we'd like. That being said, overall a really good experience, and we absolutely plan to go back the next time and better communicate what we're looking for.
