I strongly do not recommend Sun Power. Since I leased SunPower for my home, I have been experiencing various issues consistently. Every time I call customer service, they promise that someone will contact me within 5-7 days to help resolve the problem, but each time, the problems are never fixed within a week. The last time a SunPower technician came to my house, they caused a partial power outage that took at least two weeks to repair.Now, my solar panels have not been working for 4 months. Every time I call, they tell me to wait for 5-7 days. However, it has been 4 months, and a technician only visited last week, informing me that our issue cannot be fixed immediately. They need to order parts, and I have no idea how long I will have to wait. To make matters worse, I am still paying my monthly electricity bill and leasing fees throughout this ordeal.I decided to install Sun Power to save money, but so far, I have not only failed to save any money, but I have also invested a significant amount of time and money into fixing the mess caused by my solar panels. I constantly have to contact customer service to inquire about the progress of the issue. If you're reading this review, please exercise caution when considering Sun Power!

100% will never use or recommend sunpower again. Terrible costumer service, horrible communication between departments that resulted in multiple appointments that wasted my time. And took 8.5 months to complete a simple residential job

Bought a house that has Sunpower solar (owned) on 2021. But the system interconnection was never set up properly. I've given all the documents that they asked for to set it up. Now customer service just keeps transferring me to other departments and always ends up with "we will give you a call back". No one ever calls back. This has been going on for over a YEAR! Bad company. Stay away.

This company literally scammed my grandma, they are not willing to aid in refunding her when the product hasn't worked in several month. They keep making her pay while the product doesn't work. There is literal proof from the meter, however they refuse to refund and won't let a manager on the phone. We had to threaten to have our lawyer contact them to get any progress. Finally they said they will refund some of the money, but who knows when they will actually send it, because we have been dealing with this issue almost a year, A YEAR! They will not return the full refund for the time the product was not working. DO NOT BUY, YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES AND THEY WILL NOT BE RESOLVED IN A TIMELY MANNER AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO WORK WITH YOU OR MAKE ANYTHING RIGHT!

Worst experience ever! I paid $46k for a 10kw system and then they screwed the install so bad that I have around $50,000 of out of pocket post project costs to fix what they broke, threw away, burned out, ….. And even after main electrical panel burned out causing us to live with very limited power for two months, they NEVER sent an electrical crew to even assess the situation. Had to hire my own electrician to get permit, and replace the main panel! I’m still feeling lucky my house didn’t burn down! #SunPower

Cath was so kind and helpful with my billing concern. It was a great experience. She earned 5 stars.UPDATE:I see that my original post was replaced with this one after my issue was resolved. Even though she addressed my billing concerns, I had already tried contacting this company several times via email and phone. The issue was that they couldn't effectively put my bill on auto payment. Prior to Cathy, I also spoke to a rep who said he did it, but then my next bill came. It was EXTREMELY frustrating, and it was almost a year before they actually did it. The only reason we have solar is because the lease was attached to the house we bought.The company, in my opinion, gets 1 STAR for their poor email service. You THINK somebody is reading them, but I never received ANY reply in return. As working customers, we rely on email to address our concerns outside of our own working hours.

This company is a joke, borderline on criminal.... We signed the contract last year, roofers came in, removed the tiles necessary for the solar panels to be installed and installed asphalt shingles as the base, tiles were to be installed around the solar panels after installation....... Months went by, rain came, and came in.... Inside my house!!! I had to do some emergency repairs to my roof... plastic tarps and all that. I had to repair-install new sheetrock to the walls and ceiling.... At a cost of over $9,000.00 dollars!! And all this time no one at the company would answer the phone!!! I finally went to their web page and into my account where I found a single page informing me that they were cancelling my contract!!! No phone call, no email, no explanation..... nothing!!!!! So here I am with a badly damaged tile roof, having spent over 9K dollars for inside water damage repairs, and not a word from this company. I will be seeking legal advice and exploring my options. Stay the hell away from this company....

Recently, the team installed the surge protector to my system at home. In the process though, they created a problem—our dryer wasn’t heating up. I texted support that night. Support responded the following morning, informing me that they were requesting the same team to go back and fix the issue. The following day, the team did come back and fixed the issue. Our dryer is working again. One of the wires wasn’t connected correctly.This is one of those times that Sunpower (Ram) provided great customer service. Keep it up, team!

If you want to install Sunpower panels, think again. They are good before you install the panel, but after you installed and pay the money, they don't care much to you when your system has issues. I have installed my panel last year 2022, and right now, it is 06/01/2023, still one of my 11 panel are not working. I have to call the service so many times and they keep saying they are busy. So look like current customer is not their priority? I am so frustrated and 25 years warranty seems like a joke to me.

Overall, I am very satisfied with SunPower. The energy consultant (Jen), project coordinator (Parker), installers, and inspectors from SunPower all get a 10/10 for their knowledge, professionalism, and ability to answer all my questions. In particular, the installers were very careful to avoid damaging plants in my garden with ladders, equipment, tools, etc. This was very important to my wife and they did a great job.The only negative experience I had was confusion around scheduling my installation. I would have appreciated more communication and better planning from the scheduling coordinator before a couple of last-minute cancellations (mostly due to poor weather). I would give the scheduling coordinator a 7/10.Overall, I would definitely recommend SunPower to provide a low-stress, high-quality solar PV installation.

Had a great experience from start to finish. Mark H. our sales rep. made the process so easy. He answered all questions. Chelsea M, the project manager, kept me informed of the progress the entire way. Also hats off to the installation crew. Everyone was so nice, from the guy that came and measured to the crew that did the installation. They arrived on time and installation went just as described.

Sunpower customer service has been exceptional thus far. Just started my account with them but my start up assistant was awesome. Sheryl guided me well she was knowledgeable courteous pleasant and extremely patient. Thank you Sheryl you were a pleasure to associate with.

Near perfect experience with excellent customer service and install team ! Neat, professional and producing my full electric needs at the moment, even with an electric car. Thank you Sunpower !!!! Great product, service and 25 year warranty on EVERYTHING! Very happy customer and would highly recommend to anyone who owns their roof.

Yesterday I contacted SunPower Customer Care services about a monitoring issue on two of my SunPower systems. A year ago, I had three of my SunPower rooftop systems converted from 320 watt panels with string inverters to higher capacity 410 watt panels with micro inverters. Two of the three systems were not showing panel level production reporting on the MySunPower monitoring app. Upon dialing the Customer Care call center, I was immediately connected with Joan. She was able to immediately locate my systems and confirmed that the panel level production was not being reported. She was able to initiate a change to the reporting protocols to reflect the panel level reporting remotely during the call. The fix was completed in just a few minutes. I was truly impressed with the speed and professional approach to addressing my issue by Joan. This is an experience that is rare when addressing issues through traditional call in service centers. Bravo to SunPower and its Customer Care team!!!!!
