Hotel Signia impressed both as a hotel and a wedding venue. As weddings are inherently complex, and that wedding contracts including dinner at a premier venue is even more so, I highly recommend getting a planner involved when signing up for this venue. As the Signia employees have tons of events, having the planner as a go between was an immense help. While the Signia employees are extremely busy, and a bit harder to reach during the planning phase, the week of, their full attention is geared towards making sure Signia as a venue does right by your event.
As a hotel, all my guests and I were extremely impressed with every room rented. The suites are very spacious, and the penthouse suite likely is the best one in San Jose.
Hotel Signia's biggest strength lies within its culinary division. The guests were extremely impressed with the appetizer, main course, and desserts served in the steakhouse dinner option. Extra thanks to the banquet manager for being able to serve halal at a reasonable cost without altering the quality of any of the menu items. This quality extends to the restaurant on site as well; the brunch the day after was delectable.

Terrible customer service, management has no oversight over their staff and does not care how they treat their guests. They do overcharge you for things that you do not use, and when you try to inquire about it, they become condescending and rude. Escalated issues to management, never heard back. Not a good representation of Hilton. Will not stay there again. Honestly there are many better options around the area that are much better on every level. Don’t waste your time or energy, not worth it at this hotel.

Rooms: We are a bit disappointed about:
- the (lack of) basic infrastructure/ capabilities in our room. Indeed, there's one bedside table missing and on that same side of the bed there's no possibility at all to connect electrical devices (nor USB connectivity). Luckily, on our request, the facility management
department was able to help us. But in the meantime we lost 1 hour and still had to go for dinner. So, this has not been a smooth check in, especially not after a long drive.
- there are no bathrobes nor slippers available in the rooms as standard, only upon explicit request, which results in waiting times.
- the restaurant does not offer decaf coffee. According to the waiter, his boss doesn't like decaf (??).
- we received a lot of text messages sent by the IT system of the hotel, but nothing/not much was done with our replies.
- "for some reason" (according to the frontdesk personnel), the hyperlink wasn't sent along in the text message. So, once again, we had to ask for the information about opening and closing times etc as this info wasn't available in the room.
Conclusion: there's (a lot of) room for improvement. Price/quality/customer focus are not in balance.

I’m here now. Nice big clean room with two beds but just one set of towels. Odd smell. Smells like B.O but wife thinks it’s moth balls. Tried to call guest services on their fancy phone & only got a busy signal. Wife called on her cell to request towels. Business desk consisted of two pieces of pad paper & no pen. Room cleaners missing key details.

I will briefly describe our experience at this hotel!
We arrived yesterday around 15-15.30 and it all started with the fact that they couldn't find our reservation and after a 10-minute wait they found our reservation, then their system to pay the 100 "guarantee" didn't work of dollars that took them another 20-30 minutes!
The blankets are probably too small at 140cm!
When we left, when we went to check out, the lady there didn't even know that we had already paid the $100 fee, and she asked us for another $100 so we could leave the parking lot... after a few checks, she let us go, -I took the luggage to the hotel entrance where I left the car, but the valet does not bring your car back from the hotel entrance, but from the valet parking lot!
This is really funny, why is there still valet then????
The hotel looks very good, but the staff is very poorly prepared!

Great location & lots to do in the area. The hotel itself is pretty & accommodating.
The bar area is very sophisticated which adds a touch of class to the lobby.
Staff was welcoming & professional!
My room had a solid feel, which I immediately felt. Very spacious and was put on a high floor.
Hilton just knows how to do it!

I recently stayed at this location for a work conference hosted at the hotel. Everything was lovely! The staff were nice and accommodating and even wore our brand during the event! The hotel is gorgeous and actually quite grand. The rooms were so nice, bathrooms were great and ample hot water! The bed though, I actually miss the bed. So comfy, nice linens and the pillows were crazy good! Hilton what brand are those pillows??? I have literally been trying to find that info since I boarded the plane home. 10/10! In the relative chaos of our 400+ rowdy group this hotel maintained its dignity! They fed us amazingly well and tended to our needs happily.
What are those pillows???
I wish I would have stuffed one in my suitcase

Alright I'm finally doing it, I'm leaving a review on a hotel. I never do this. That's how bad this was. Buckle up this is a wild one.
TL;DR: Exploding toilets and tower of terror elevators. Yes I'm serious.
Let me start with some background and the very few positives. So me and a ton of my friends, peers and colleagues booked rooms at this hotel because we were all going to a conference in the area (there were about 50 of us staying). The lobby is a fantastic space for meeting up and chatting so that was what drew us to the location. Apparently the pool is also really great (I didn't use it due to time constraints). The area is amazing, there's great food everywhere and we were less than a five minute walk from the convention center. Staff were friendly and helpful. That is where the good stuff ends.
Lets start with the showers. There are two dials, one for temperature and one to control whether the water comes out the hose or the rain showerhead. For many of us, the dial to control temperature was so stiff we couldn't move it. It was also not very intuitive and some people had to ask the front desk how they worked. My first night was a very very hot shower. Some of the others were stuck with cold showers.
My room specifically had no duvet on the bed, just a thin little sheet and I was very cold. I thought this was just how the hotel was and didn't think to ask. Turns out everyone else had thick fluffy duvets. Also one of our beds was poorly made when we arrived, no idea if the blankets were changed or if they were just smoothed out and left that way after the last guest.
Now the crazy stuff. The toilet in one of my friends' room overflowed while she was away at the conference. Her whole room flooded and all her luggage was soaked. Hotel staff tried to convince her it was her fault. Eventually they realized it wasn't but all they did was give her free use of the laundry room. Same day, a leak appeared in the hallway outside MY room. Ceiling got ripped open and a garbage can was sat under the leak. It stayed there for the rest of my stay (about 3 days) and was still there when I left. Another friend described her toilet as "exploding" when she used it.
There was also a giant hole in the lobby ceiling left open with insulation and drywall and wires hanging out for days.
The elevators. Only three of them were working when we arrived, which was "fine" but it got worse later. The buttons are caked with dirt and look like they have never been cleaned. Some of them don't light up so you can't tell if your floor was selected. On one day of our stay (a Saturday, when there were other events going on and the lobby was packed) every elevator broke down except one. Actually I say they "broke down" they were all working fine, running up and down constantly. They just refused to stop on any floors for some reason. This was the night we all needed to get upstairs to change into evening gowns for an awards party. Huge line. Hotel staff very kindly opened up the service elevators for us... That's where our craziest story happens.
My elevator door didn't want to close. It got super close then popped open again. Then it would try to close and then open again. Eventually closed. Didn't give me a lot of confidence, but we got to our floor fine, it was midway up the building. Two of my friends, however, were on the 16th floor. When they got to the 15th to let other passengers out, there was a jolt and some shaking, but they stayed on to get to the 16th. When they got there, there was a bigger jolt, worse shaking and then the elevator fell back down to the 15th floor. My friend believes the emergency break system activated. They got off and immediately after, warning lights and alarms went off. Lovely.
Would I stay here again? If we didn't have any other options for a group th

I stayed here recently for a high-tech trade show. The rooms were quite large and comfortable. The location was convenient to several downtown SJC restaurants and such.
The staff at the bar was top-notch. They had a decent selection of wines and spirits.
Walkability: There are lots of entertainment and food options within a few blocks of the hotel.
