The only reason why I end up buying their dosa batter is because they have market monopoly. The quality of their batter has declined drastically over the years. The dosa comes out really bad.. this is the 3rd time I have decided to throw away the batter completely. If this continues I am going the completely stop buying your products! Making dosas in Indian homes is a feeling from our childhood. Please bring back your original recipe with the right ratios of rice to urad dal.

I purchased a ganesha combo set . I would not say all the the items in the combo set were useful, but the ganesha was looking very beautiful, nice and healthy!However the cloth/dhoti given was totally useless .. so was the plastic garland.But one item stood out and I would gladly recommend everyone to try it . It was their "kozhukattai flour" . My kozhukattai's outer layer turned out to be so soft like a baby's skin and their measurement for water in the instructions was perfect!!Giving a 5 just for the ganesha and kozhukattai flour!!

Ordered a pack of 7 mangos, not a single one was edible when I received the package. Emailed customer support twice, they never responded. My experience ordering non-perishable items from them has been very good, but it seems like they cannot ensure perishable items will survive shipping.

Brought idli, dosa batter in the past and thought the quality was good. Two days ago I purchased idli, dosa and green moong dal batter from local store New India Bazar, and shocked to see the deterioration of quality. They were not properly fermented; idli was somewhat Ok, but dosa and moong dal batter were so horrible. Tasteless, saltless and stale. Threw them into the garbage. Attaching the pictures for the Shasta people to check the batches if something wet wrong in making them.

Shashta foods is fraud. Their cans are never full. They sale by volume 30oz and box will end up with 20-22 oz. Most of then products don't last by their expiration dates. Photo here just after opening the box. Came 60% volume.

Just bought idli batter from coconut hill , Sunnyvale ,CA . This is what I got , it's covered with fungus . If someone doesn't know how the idli batter looks like they wouldn't even notice this and use it . Totally not acceptable. * Update : Shasta foods was so good that they went out of the way and delivered a fresh box of batter home . And I believe the problem was with the fridge of the shop which I bought the batter from as this was the third time I had issues from the same shop.
