This a relatively small Safeway. Clean, well lighted, but like all Safeway stores, the prices are not terrific.
I went in there this evening to pick up a few items for dinner. I spotted a bargain that seemed terrific. It seemed every good, so I took a photo of the display in case the cashier was not aware.
The sign says "Big Deal! Buy 3 and Save $8" Since they were priced at $5.99 per package, that means the three would normally be just about $18. $8 off would put that total to $10. A bargain indeed. So I picked up three packages.
When I got to checkout, the lady told me that deal requires a coupon. I responded that that is not what the sign says. She said it didn't matter. I showed her the photo and she said too bad. I asked to see the manager of the store. She answered that she was the manager and there was nothing she could do.
I believe that there are laws that say if you post a price you have to honor it.
Not worth fighting further, just another disappointing visit to Safeway.

Expired juice. It's mid May right now. There was juice left that expired in March.
There's always parking, but recently has gotten a lot of bad drivers from people visiting the restaurants in this plaza.
Tonight, I had a family come up to me asking for something (most likely money) while I was throwing everything in the trunk. What's happened to this place? Safe, but kind of ghetto.

Yesterday at 8pm, I was in your store with my two grandchildren. The cashier Liz was working at the checkout.I bought the Gift card and milk. While I was paying with my credit card, the youngest grandson put his hands on the tape and wanted to see. This woman, looking at the baby, turned on the tape, there were no goods on it, the tape was empty !The child's fingers were pinched by this tape. The child cried loudly, he was in pain and he was scared. But the cashier just looked at it all. I was scared myself. But I didn’t hear an apology from your employee. My grandson cried all night. Why she turned on the tape if she saw the boys fingers on the Cashdesk conveyor belt?

Stay away from this location while person with name Virginia works there! She refused to accept my Canadian driver license, when i tried to buy a bottle of wine, which is valid in US for 6 months and valid for police. I shop here for 5 months.... not anymore There are plenty of shops here. You just lost family of 5 from your customer list. Say thanks to Virginia.Details: When i asked Virginia to call the store manager or check with the Safeway main office fhe validity of Canadia DL, since i've been purchasing alc goods in US and in this particular store for 5 months, she said at loud, so all customers and employees heard, that she decides here who will buy and who won't. As well i've been told that I can talk to whoever i want to, she is the one who makes decisions.Which highly unhealthy for this SW location internal environment (bad example for her colleagues), neither as for customers and me personally.The fact that it've been said at loud in front of other people and no attempt to help me (btw, I was the loyal costemer for 5 months, as well as my 3 kids and husband) from Virginia side, made me injured and feeling unwell till now. Yesterday, instead of having a nice dinner with my family, situation made me to drive to another store in bad weather condition, after 10 hours of work and feeling mentally injured, that endangered my health.Feel discriminated based on personal preferences.... shame. What are branch manager and the main office doing??!!I request in person meeting with the store manager and Virginia to get explanations.

Lena in deli is unhelpful, lazy and has an attitude problem. She did not want to pack any of the side salads that came with the chicken combo. Instead she told us to walk over to the pre packed side salads that were supposed to be in a cold case. But when we got to the case there weren't any. She said oh well looks like there's no more and just left and told us to just get the chicken without the sides. Ummm we wanted the meal. She totally went into the back and was nowhere to be found. Ummm, bye girl not gonna get the cheap chicken or shop at this ghetto Safeway. Rather just go to Whole Foods as we usually did. Why is this cheap, subpar grocery store in our neighborhood anyway?

I absolutely love this Safeway !! They are so attentive and always call me when there's something out of stock . Give Chance and Robert a raise !! Their customer service is unmatched it's a shame they don't take tips Safeway add that option to pick up orders ! I hope all the employees are getting paid well , they are located next to two schools and i have bear witness to how awful they are treated by the teenagers that " shop" there after school , you guys are all amazing !

I will keep this short because all Safeways are basically the same. Some stores are newer and others are older but the prices and the quality of the fresh vegetables and fruits are not the greatest for the price you pay. So the rating I give it is a mediocre one. The services and ambiance of the store is about the same for a store of its age.

I'm through with their app & will do as much shopping at other stores as possible. They never deliver the whole order, don't tell you until the order shows up & I've caught them charging for things that weren't ordered. I've been a loyal safeway shoppers any other places I've lived or visited. This has happened every time using the app in San Jose.

Fantastic local store, get the membership as more expensive without it, good quality produce, top notch bakery and sushi shop, lots of regular groceries from yogurt and meat to fresh oysters, well stocked frozen aisle as well. And helpful staff, good hours. Highly recommend it

Staff made me feel unwelcome here. I was trying to see which vege has a longer expiration date, and immediately was approached by a staff and told me if I wanted non organic, they were on the other section in a rude way.
