On 5/30/2024, at approximately 4pm, I went in to buy some clothes for my brother so we can wear all black for my mom's prayer at the Lao temple. I recently lost my mom a few days ago so we're rushing to do things and had to get to the temple by 5pm. I went into Ross and selected a black shirt and a black pants. Mind you I was in a hurry so I went in and got to the check out in less than 10 minutes. Already I see loss prevention tailing me. Okay... I got in line and an employee was behind me. Another employee walked to the counter like I was going to run away? Whatever. They're doing their jobs, right?
I saw a counter empty and walked up. Immediately the cashier said something rude like "I'm not checking you out, you need to wait jerk." I'm like wow, okay. I stepped back. She was talking and laughing with her co-worker. Just joking around while people were waiting in line. She looked Indian or Mexican. She was so rude. I waited for another 5 minutes until a register was open. When I go to the register, I looked around me and I see 5 more employees like waiting to see if I'm gonna run off with clothes. Please... I'm not gonna steal 2 articles of clothing. I paid and left. The relief on the faces of these employees when they saw I paid. Like bro, I don't look like a bum. I had a 24k necklace on that's worth 10 thousand dollars. I saw some homeless people around but they weren't bothered but me? What did I do? This was the worst experience ever. I hope Ross shuts down and you rude cashiers become homeless in your overpriced apartments.
I went to Walmart in Modesto earlier that day and the customer service was excellent and they didn't look down on me. Ross needs to do better.

I just left the store at 2:50. The older lady in the front takes my money. Hands me back the wrong change and when I tell her she says we can't open the register. So then she gives me a bag and tells me it's a free bag, instead of giving me my money? So then when I say I don't want a bag I want my money. She takes the bag away from me and keeps my receipt. Sorry I didn't fall for the bag bribe. Also I've just checked the change she handed me. It's not even the right amount.
