I recently stayed here, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the rude behavior of the hotel manager. The manager displayed a complete lack of courtesy, ignoring guests and creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. This disappointing encounter has left me with no desire to return to the hotel. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure a more positive experience for future guests.

The room and employees were fine, but there is a big issue with their system when it comes to handling your credit card. I understand that a hotel will put holds or pending transactions on credit cards, but during my 5 night stay this hotel’s system continually added $1k credit card holds until they maxed out my card. After talking to 4 different people at the front desk to try and find the cause of the duplicate holds, it was “resolved” and I was allowed to check out. The same thing happened to another coworker who unfortunately used their personal card. This nearly ruined my business trip because my company card got maxed out by these pending holds and I couldn’t use it for legitimate company expenses until weeks after returning. Now today, 2 months after my stay, I see a new $1k pending transaction on the same card from this hotel. Even if it never processes into a real charge, there must be a serious issue going on with their system and I’m so thankful I never gave them my personal credit card.

I booked my stay here for my own personal birthday getaway to recharge. I picked this hotel because it is local with access to nature. This is my first time here, and I am loving it. The property is beautiful. The staff is nice and the designers thought of everything to make it feel like home -- ample perfectly placed and sized signage and trash cans; room windows that open; plenty of nooks and crannies to put your belongings; a gorgeous and well stocked free breakfast buffet with gluten-free options; plenty of plugs for your devices; comfortable bed and furniture with feather-free option....I am so happy I found this place! What a gem -- l can see myself hosting family from out of town here -- close to the airport and Great America; nature trail accessible from the pool and courtyard; ample parking; near Caltrain for a stress free trip to SF.Thank you, Marriott♡

After driving 2 hours and arriving at the hotel, a lady at the front desk lied to us and said that Expedia cancelled our reservation and should have relocated us. We called Expedia and they had no record of the room being cancelled. We were then told by the Assistant Manager that Expedia did not cancel, that it was the General Manager of the hotel that cancelled our room due to "maintenance" and emailed Expedia and Expedia should have contacted us. When we told them this didn't happen, they said we are fully booked. They did not offer to relocate us, they did not apologize for not contacting us, and they did not offer to give us a voucher. No remorse, no empathy. The girl who lied to us was the Operations Manager and she told us that she is the head of Housekeeping and just helping out. When asked how many rooms they had to cancel for maintenance we were told 3. They could not pickup the phone and call 3 customers? But, instead the left it up to Expedia who serves millions of customers. An hour later, as we were trying to book our room, the Assistant Manager comes up to our table and quickly shows us an email from his cell phone, telling us that this is the email the General Manager sent to Expedia. He quickly took his phone away so that we could not see the screen. We then asked him if we could see the email because we did not see it the first time. He told us no and would not let us take a picture or print it out for us, to send over to Expedia so we could get a refund. We asked him a second time to see the email and he said no that we were not allowed to see the email. Which seems very unethical. We spent 2 hours on the phone with Expedia sitting at their bar while Expedia attempted to relocate us with a hotel of equal quality and all hotels were booked except hotels who had suites available for over $500. They sat behind the counter laughing and talking watching us as we struggled to find a room. When we approached again to ask them if they knew of any hotels that were not booked, a man next to us was checking in, we said "he must be a Marriot Rewards member" to which the Operations Manager replied "Yes, he is a gold member." After finally locating a 2 star hotel to stay, the Assistant Manager walks up to us to tell us that Expedia should be contacting us shortly. Needless to say, this was a horrible unethical and illegal experience and horrible customer service. They still have not had any one reach out to us and apologize, offer their sympathy for being lied to, or being left to fend for ourselves when THEY were the ones to put us in this position in the first place. Never have we ever had something like this happen; but it has ruined our opinion of Marriott hotels. And we will make sure that everyone knows that Marriot will cancel your reservation for their own reward members which seems to be illegal and we are considering consulting a lawyer regarding this.

After driving 2 hours and arriving at the hotel, the front clerk lied to us and said that Expedia cancelled our reservation. We called Expedia and they had no record of the room being cancelled. The Marriott Assistant Manager admitted that Expedia did not cancel, that it was the General Manager of the hotel that cancelled our room due to "maintenance" issues. They then told us they were fully booked. They did not offer to relocate us, they did not apologize for not contacting us, and they did not offer to give us a voucher. The Marriott employees showed no remorse, no empathy even after watching us in their lobby for 2 hours struggling to find another hotel. We went back to the front desk because we saw a new customer being checked in. We went to the front desk and asked why that customer was being checked in if there are no rooms available, and the clerk rudely told us “oh, he is a Marriott Rewards Member”! We were shocked and enraged as this seems to be HIGHLY UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL. Next, the Assistant Manager came up to us and quickly showed us an email from his cell phone, telling us that this is the email the General Manager sent to Expedia. He quickly took his phone away so that we could not see his screen. We asked him if we could see the email because we did not see it the first time or can he email us the General Manager’s email, and the Marriott Assistant Manager told us no that he was not allowed to show us the email. THIS IS HIGHLY UNETHICAL AND SEEMS TO BE ILLEGAL.We are taking this complaint to you, the Marriott Corporation, as well as the Better Business Bureau. We will use social media to inform the public that Marriott is unethical and their practices are possibly illegal.

We stayed here for one night after attending Ed Sheeran's concert. The room is very clean and spacious. The bed is big and soft, as well as pillows. I usually hate hotel pillows because most if the time the pillows are hard and hurt my neck but pillows here are soft and super comfy. I had such a great sleep staying here. The bathroom is big and equipped with everything you would need. The shower area is huge. The L shaped couch is nice. All the charging outlets are working great! Some hotels have outlets but they don't always work or take forever to charge. There is a little kitchen area in the room but we didn't end up using it much. There is also a workspace for you if you need. You get complimentary breakfast and overnight parking spot. Breakfast is decent. It's a buffet style and has most of the breakfast like omelette, potatoes, bread, waffles, pancakes, milk, juice, etc. It's opened from 7-10am.The lobby area is super cute. There's a gym room too but we didn't get to use it. The staff is very nice and friendly. One of them recommended us walking to Levi stadium for the concert which takes about 25-30mins. He said there will be a lot of people and walking there will be faster. We didn't want to walk at first and were going to park somewhere near the stadium. But we are so glad that we ended up taking his recommendation!! There were sooo many people, especially after the concert ended. My friend decided to park near the stadium and it took him almost an hour just to get out of the parking lot!! So if anyone is staying at this hotel for an event at the Levi stadium, I recommend you to walk! You will get back to the hotel much faster by walking than driving!

I have to say this is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at we got Suite 2 bedroom. It was beautiful clean equipped with plates kitchen ware fridge microwave etc.. the view was nice.. the bathrooms were clean it was spacious. Loved it. Then only thing is the train but it's ok. Breakfast is until 9:30 and the ladies close right on time even when there is alot of food left and people wanting to come in. It's b nice to extend to like 10:30 or 11.. also the eggs can use flavor.. had to be fast because they were closing so didn't get to enjoy much. The ladies are nice. As we were leaving you can see friendly staff cleaning and taking care of property. Enjoyed Stay!

We have stayed at this Residence Inn a few times. It is great for several nights when you want to make food in the room or have things to keep cold. The food at breakfast is one of the best I have seen as far as choices and taste. The biggest thing for me is that the hotel is always clean and smells fresh. The staff is always welcoming and willing to help when needed. We will stay here any time we are in that area!

We loved this property - it was clean, well-maintained and spacious. The 2 bedroom suite was a dream for parents plus we had the kitchenette. Nice pool & hot tub and lots of other amenities like tennis (they provided the rackets & balls, too). Great spot for a staycation or if you're going to Great America/event at Levi's Stadium.Rooms: Studio plus 1 & 2 bedroom options. 2 bedroom had two separate bedrooms (on en-suite) plus a second bathroom, living room & kitchenette.Nearby activities: Great America, Top Golf, Levi's Stadium, Alviso Marina (rent kayaks)Safety: Felt extremely safe at this property - at the end of the road in a business park area up against protected wetland area.Walkability: Walking/biking trail access is very convenient but, with kids, you definitely need a car.Food & drinks: Great complimentary breakfast!On-site restaurant is dinner only with some good options.

Stayed here a week for business. The main thing i'd complain about is that this is a loud hotel! Trains, Planes, oh my! And the fact the thermostat did not work the entire time! I would set it to 68° and I'd wake up drenched in sweat because it's 78° in the room. The beds were not impressive, they felt like I was sleeping on old and worn out mattresses. There was no Do Not Disturb sign for me or a robe like in other hotels like this. (Maybe the cleaning crew forgot) the water pressure is ridiculously strong! It's not necessarily a smoking friendly hotel but they do accommodate. The gym is pretty nice with high tech workout machines. I almost forgot of what made me extremely irritated with my stay: I had two loads of laundry and spent about $18 on their laundry machines and $6 for non-complementary DOLLAR SIZED laundry soap you'd get from a regular quarter dispensary machine. The machines don't wash the clothes that well so it was a complete waste of time and money. Don't use the ATM as it charges $5.50 for a withdraw. There were also swarms of mosquitoes surrounding the building due to the wildlife habitat next door- which was the only thing I really liked about this hotel: that it's next to the Bay Trail. (Lots of guests and random people tresspass into the wildlife habitat so that will give you an idea of who stays here) I'm really surprised this building has "Marriott" on it.Rooms: Very noisy! I could hear guests next to me and below me pack up to leave at 8am.Nearby activities: Bay Trail, Wildlife Refuge.Walkability: Not within walking distance to anywhere. Uber/driving/biking would be your way of transportation.
