Same as others, they charge again even insurance company has paid the money! Their billing apartment folks are morons, they premised the bill is under investigation and won't be sent to collection, but 1month later, received the notification from collection company.

Same experience as others. They will directly bill collection agency without even billing you. They sent bill in the name of a minor who does that? All there website states is a contact number for billing questions who don't bother to pick up. Unfortunately if Good Sam we are stuck with this option. That might be the only way they are getting any business with this shady practices.

I received two notices from collection agency regarding bills I've never seen. I paid Good Samaritan bill once I received it. But they told me that Radiological Med Assoc. group bills separately. They never sent me a bill or called in that regard. Also those idiots wrote my Anthem insurance id with typo. They put 'O' instead of '0' (zero). Then, when it failed on Anthem side, they sent it straight to collection agency without noticing me. I was able to sort that out when called Anthem representative. And finally the guy on a phone in that Radiological medical group billing department was struggling to pull up my account, when I called them to ask what's going on. He told me once it is sent to collection then it gets deleted. Excuse me?

I went to Good Sam in May to the ER for appendix pain, and had a CT scan done. During my visit, my BCBS insurance was accepted and any copayment or patient fees were paid immediately. BCBS received the insurance claims for the ER, the ER doctor, Radiology, and the Labs. All were processed and paid within 30 days. Any direct bills sent to me were difference amounts leftover from what the claims paid, and I paid what was remaining to the ER doctor, etc. It is now November and I've been getting mysterious 'Toll Free Number' calls on my phone. Upon listening to one of the voicemails, I discovered online it was a collections agency called Cypress Collection Services out of Modesto. I do not have any outstanding medical bills and I thank God I'm not in debt. However, I received these calls, and a few days later received a letter in the mail from them that they are trying to collect $30 for 'Radiological Associates Medical Group' in San Jose. Mind you, the frequency of calls and aggressiveness of the phone rep made it seem like I owed a $1M in property taxes. I put two and two together and surmised this had to be the Radiology dept or Radiologist from Good Sam Hospital from my past ER visit. Keep in mind, I was there in May, and it's now November, that's six months with no calls or letters from Radiological Assoc Med Group that there was any leftover payment due. Instead, they refer anything you may owe to a collections agency? This is disrespectful to me as the patient, and my time in researching on my own who the original collector is, and my distrust in receiving persistent, random calls from a company that wouldn't confirm over the phone if they were credible. Immediately, I set up a bill payment from my bank to send the check directly to Radiological Assoc. Med. Group, and it has tracking on it. Though I was so 'generously' told to pay within 30 days, I opted to pay it immediately. They also charge 0.833% interest each month on the balance owed. I never heard of either one of these companies, and was floored reading the Yelp reviews from everyone else here. I again thank God this wasn't a large bill that I was unable to pay. Good Samaritan, this is an embarrassment to your hospital!

These guys are morons, I have paid my bills but still get calls from collection agencies. I never received a direct bill from them but paid the bill collector on the first call now I have more notices. Its difficult to choose your radiologist which makes it even worse. I intend to escalate to their governing body.
