As a member of Provident Credit Union for 35 years I'm never disappointed with their excellent customer service. I recently had a need to go into the North San Jose, CA branch to handle some business in person. Ruchi Chopra, the Personal Account Officer was absolutely wonderful and professional and resolved all my issues. She also assisted in refinancing my auto loan through Provident and I couldn't be more satisfied :). The personnel in this branch are all wonderful at customer servicing. As a matter of fact all branch employees are great as well as the call center employees. Keep up the great work!

Terrible experience. Applied for a loan and then they kept on giving wrong calculations, not knowing what debit to income ratio is or how to calculate it.

I've had my account open for about 2 months now. I opened it because we had sold our house and figured we'd rather have our money in a local credit union than a big bank. Now 2 Months in, I can't believe I'm saying it, but big banking was better. The online banking system doesn't recognize my info, so I can't even get it set up. I tried calling in - no luck. I went into the Palo Alto branch in person, they couldn't help but they made an appointment for me. That got cancelled and not rescheduled, and I haven't had the time to deal with it, so yeah that sucks. On two occasions now, my debit card has been cancelled for no good reason. The first was getting gas here locally in Silicon Valley. I was stranded for about an hour until I could get it working again through their automated text system. The second time I was travelling, and again getting gas. I was off the grid in a little town so I just had my partner pay, but I didn't know my card was blocked. I just figured it was an issue with their reader, and I didn't get any notification through their text system. Tonight, went out to eat with some friends, whom I owed a dinner. My card was blocked, and I spent an hour on hold talking to 3 different people before I got it working again, plus a ton of embarrassment. I'm planning to pull all of my money back out on Monday, after unfortunately getting chased back to the big banks. IDK if they're just better equipped on the technology front, but it makes for a better user experience.

This bank is must be closed down for failing to meet my excellent customer expectations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My phone screen is shattered because their bank keeps cancelling my card for NO FUCKING REASON!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS AMERICA AND I AM NOT TOLERATING THIS KIND OF TREATMENT ANY LONGER!!!!!!

The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Takes days, sometimes weeks to get a response on anything. My first red flag was in 2016 when they dinged my credit score by falsely reporting a late payment due to a glitch in their system they said was caused by swapping to a new payment system. That took months to resolve, but I stayed with them because I wanted to support a small local credit union after hearing how evil big banks were. Since then, they seem to constantly have weird technical glitches, including ones that caused overdraft fees. They would only reverse these fees caused by their technical errors after countless calls and wasted time. I am so glad I switched to Ally Bank where I can get help 24/7 or a response back to an online inquiry within a day. Peter Nieves shame on you for also lying about our communications when I have email proof.

Wire dept staff screws up the transfer or simply "forget" to execute the wire orders. This happened to me 2 times in a row. Complete negligence. Is anyone at the wire dept working or "pretend" to be working? The management should serious look into the employees and increase oversight

I am a happy first time home buyer customer because of this location's amazing staff members. Home buying process isn't that simple, specially at this market but Nasreen Abbasi (branch manager) made the impossible to possible for me and my family. Nasreen was very professional, knowledgeable, very kind and thoughtful about everything. She guide us through the whole process starting from opening an account with the branch, all the way to applying for the home loan. Even at times when we were tired and hopeless she was there to lift our spirits and guide us through the rough time. I have never experienced an amazing service such as this from any banks in my entire life; even from my business banks. I just want to thank her publicly for her hard work she put in for the banks and for being there for customers in general. Also the process got even much easier when we started submitting our documents with Norm, he was just an amazing individual. He is very professional, super knowledgeable. I am saying this from my own experience. If you follow his direction and have some patience you will NOT be disappointed at all. He was quick to response, and went above and beyond to make sure we are getting our loan in time. I do appreciate the little details and great customer service. I've had some very bad experiences with banks in the past, so I was a bit hesitant to work with someone new. however it was my first time purchasing a home on my own. I was scared and feared the entire process. This quickly went away once I started working with Norm and Nasreen, they eased all my worries. Overall this was a smooth purchase and so happy I used them to purchase my home. I'm very grateful and I can say that I've found my team! Thank you so much and you guys are the real MVP including Mr. Robert and Jennifer!!!

I didn't knew there was a Provident Credit Union location near Brokaw so I booked an appointment online. The day of appointment, I was introduced to Allen. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He gave me and my wife a breakdown of the different payment plans and interest rates. We provided all of the required documentations. Within the same day or next day. You would receive your loan application preapproved. He gave great helpful tips on preparing to shop for a new vehicle. Especially. all of the warning signs from the car salesman. If my wife and I have any questions, he would take the time to respond asap. Also, he speaks TAGALOG so can help his Filipino clients too! Provident Credit Union is the GO TO for applying on an auto loan.

I had an excellent experience here getting my first auto loan with my mother. My mom primarily speaks Spanish and needs a little more explaining when it comes to understanding the process of auto loans... myself included, since it was my first loan. I felt so knowledgeable coming out of there and I felt really confident walking back into the dealership with a better loan. My mother and I were feeling really good about our experience!

All of employees who work in this location always provide good service to me and very professional, polite, friendly & patience to answer my questions. Also sharing good info such as which CD interest is higher in PCU ,etc with me.I have been referring many of my friends to open account at PCU since I have its account. And I will continue to support PCU.
