This is only for the communication over the phone part. After reading excellent reviews about this place, I called on a Friday afternoon, was told the Director was out and only she can answer the questions I had ( these were my ? - How old should a child be?, part time/ full time, fees). Called back on Monday AM, was told the Director was out and to call back the next day, again no one else was able to answer my routine questions. Called back the next day, same answer... so pretty much it went on for a whole week. Called the following Monday and this time when I was told to call back I asked them if there was anyone else to just answer basic questions. And that I have been calling everyday. It's understandable if the Director was sick but no one to cover for her?? She then gave me the answers. But said it was an estimate for the fees. Fair enough. If kids are not potty trained, they will be charged more. Makes sense. She asked to call back the next day which I did and was able to get a hold of the Director. She was not well and was courteous on yen phone, however right off the bat she said," we don't take kids that are not potty trained". This info was different from what the other person gave. Even if it was an estimate she said they take both. So I am wondering if all the kids that are enrolled there are potty trained ( Both 1 and 2). Just for the lack of proper communication and inconsistency in the enrollment criteria I am giving this place 3 stars.

After thoroughly examining various nearby schools and delving into reviews, my journey led me back to Play 'N' Learn Preschool. As a concerned mother, I was initially anxious about how my baby and other children would be treated. However, this school has been a remarkable choice. My child has not only learned letters, numbers, and sharing but has also thrived emotionally. The teacher has been a blessing, treating all the kids with immense care and love, akin to her own.

We absolutely LOVE PNL Massar. I would give them a 10 star rating if I could and I always recommend to anyone for their kids! Both my kids attended/graduated from PNL and have been excelling in their classes in Elementary school.PNL is so much more than just a preschool, it's really a family. My kids felt such an immense amount of love from everyone and for that were so grateful. Ms.Yvonne is amazing and welcoming, along with all the other teachers at the school. They're just great with everything they do, keeping the kids minds stimulated and keeping their attention. Abby & Joshua miss you all so much!

Our son loved his time at Play N Learn! He spent the last 3 years with Ms Yvonne and we were very pleased with the outcome. They have an amazing playground in the back of the school with sports court, large sand box, play equipment, and garden. We highly recommend Play N Learn. Thank you for everything you did for our son!

Words cannot describe how much this amazing school means to me and my family. Both of my boys were students there and it was absolutely amazing. The teachers and staff are amazing and so supportive. My middle son had a little harder transition and they were so kind and supportive. The thing I will miss the most is the teachers and the awesome events that they host for the students and families.

Play 'N' Learn is a great Preschool! My two children both started there right at 18 months and went until they started TK at another school. The staff does a great job of keeping the parents involved in the process -- from taking daily pictures of your child to having numerous parent events, festivals, etc. The staff do a great job of making your child feel special and appreciated, and I always felt like they had my children's best interests in mind which was comforting.

After COVID we were nervous about taking our little to pre-school. We needed reassurance that he would be safe and that he would receive quality access to peers. We were pleasantly surprised when we visited play n learn. He made a smooth transition and when we had questions Yvonne was helpful. He had many favorite teachers and was sad when he graduated. Their hours worked great with our schedule and the app kept us updated throughout the day.

Play 'N' Learn preschool is excellent. Our son spent the last three years there and we couldn't have been happier. Ms. Yvonne is an excellent director and Alex loved every teacher he had throughout the years. It was hard to say goodbye as he started the 1st grade. We highly recommend it!

Where do I began? There is sooo much I can say about PNL Massar. Over the last 4 years, my daughter attended PNl Massar since age two and recently moved up from kindergarten. As a Black parent to a Black presenting child, I was looking for a preschool in the San Jose area that was diverse and safe, and I got very lucky. Throughout the years PNL Massar provided a safe and healthy, nurturing, inviting, bright, magical, playful, and creative play environment for my daughter that helped foster the amazing little girl she is today. As an intentional parent, one of the most important things I wanted out of a preschool was an environment where my daughter would be embraced for who she was and looked like. The teachers and families of PNL did just that. Over the last four years I saw how much attention to detail the teachers and the director gave to my daughter, esp. If I had concerns or questions regarding anything! I also loved how they poured so much love into my daughter and called her beautiful every morning. The teachers are excellent. They are also very attentive, compassionate and treat your children as if they are their own. The school director Ms. Yvonne had a smile on her face every single morning when we walked through the door. She even called to check on me one day after a crying morning my daughter had that turned into me crying. PNL Massar became our second family, being from the east coast it was just what we needed as a solid support system. Did mention both locations stayed open the entire time during covid!!I can go on and on! but, again I appreciated our time spent at PNL Massar and the balance they provided between education and creative play. Last, but not least. I wanted to say a special Thank You to Ms. Florinda. She is an amazing person and teacher. I will forever love her for becoming a special role model to my daughter and always being open, honest and forthcoming about her skills and classroom expectation from the parents and students. I also appreciate the love, care, and attention to detail she provided all the kids. I appreciated how she was open to talking about my daughter's education and what she could do to meet her needs as her teacher. She never ceased to amaze me. From holiday performances she directed to the personalized gifts she would give the kidsfor every holiday and occasion. The parties never stopped She deserves the world! We Love her to the moon and back! Again, if you are looking for safe, healthy, and enriching preschool PNL Massar is it!! Thanks again to Ms. Florinda, Ms. Yvonne, Clarissa, Ms. Rosy, Ms. Yen, Ms. Atzimba, Ms. Tali, and Ms. Laney, we love you all and will miss you. Best Kharyne

Play 'N' Learn has been a blessing! I found them by pure luck in 2018. When I came down to see the location, I was greeted with such kindness from their director. I felt even safer seeing that there are cameras in each classroom, outside and a large TV monitor showing all angles right in the front of the office. When I walked through the classroom, I saw lots of smiling faces and very happy children. Such attentiveness to the children and teachers alike. Outside they have a sandbox, little basketball hoop, new playground structure, an outdoor garden with a planter box for each child level, and a turtle named Michelangelo that is the school mascot. This school is not just any school. They really care about their students. From their learning, to manners, friendships, and to overall being better kids in this everchanging world. What is also nice is they provide updates during the day to show what the kids are learning, along with their naps and any special announcements, including if there are safety concerns. My son has gone there from age 2 1/2 to just graduating Kindergarten and has had the pleasure of each teacher there. They make school fun, inviting and exciting. Even during the pandemic, this school stayed open for the essential workers and were on top of every health measure. One part I loved about the school was they had specialty weeks throughout the year. This would teach the children about all holidays with songs, occupations, water play week, spirit week, and their annual end of the year party complete with water slide! So much fun!Very grateful for each teacher that has played a role in my son's life: Ms. Alex, Ms. Jess, Ms. Clarissa, Ms. Celeste, Ms. Birdie, Ms. Ashley and especially to Ms. Flo (Kindergarten teacher) and Ms. Yvonne (Director). All of these ladies have shaped my son to who he is today. Play N Learn will always have a special place in our hearts and I highly recommend them for your children.
