"Botanical Eco-friendly" bait and switch.
We contracted Planet Orange for botanical treatment for our indoor (kitchen) ant problem. The treatment being botanical was important to us because of the problem being in the kitchen (food prep areas) and because we have a toddler at home. This option was confirmed no less than three times with the sales manager and is also specified on the contract that we signed.
Day of treatment, the tech revealed to us after spraying the perimeter and the kitchen that it was in fact the synthetic spray. The botanical, he said, is not as effective on ants. The synthetic option which we later learned was Alpine WSG requires that food prep utensils etc are covered during treatment. This obviously did not happen.
We feel misled by Planet orange. On contacting the service department about this, they say that the Botanical option specified on the contract is merely a recommendation and they are free to spray either option.

We've worked with Cameron several times as he has completed regular maintenance treatments in/around our older house. We appreciate he always calls to confirm the appointment and his arrival time beforehand, his promptness, and thorough level of service during every visit. Everything he has found (or not found), he communicates clearly and states his findings / service actions in the report. Appreciate he uses shoe covers indoors and let's us know where he places bait/traps, whenever they're needed. He even makes sure to place traps out of reach from our dog.
We've been using Planet Orange for a couple years now and have never had an issue with the front office estimate or any service tech. They're always knowledgeable and professional.

Listen, pest control stuff is scary. You don’t want creatures in your house but you also don’t want to be taken for a ride.
I’ve been there on both fronts. Last time I called a rival they charged me almost 700 bucks for the bare minimum.
This time, I wasn’t sure if there was a problem, so I scheduled an inspection with Planet Orange. I was looking for an honest pest control place.
I found it! Santiago came out. He checked things out, gave me an honest point saying, house is pretty clean and he didn’t really see a need for treatment. (yet)
If you’re looking for an honest pest control place, that’s affordable, and isn’t going to just suggest they do a service to take you for a ride, this is it. This company has actual business ethics (which is rare for pest control I think.)
Trust me, this place is probably the best in San Jose.

We have used Planet Orange for termite control for a few years and we are very happy with it. Because of our connection with Planet Orange, we decided to use them for rodent control when we discovered we had a problem.We are so happy with our Specialist Sophia. She is amazing! She is smart, knowledgeable, professional and has provided outstanding service. She provided us with information about rodents and the best ways to control them. She also found places they were probably accessing our house that we had not thought of.She has been to our home twice and we continue to be impressed. The second visit was part of our continuing contract and she had the “fun” job of removing a HUGE (her words!) dead rat from our attic. I was so happy not to have to deal with that!Bottom line- Sophia is EXCELLENT and I can’t recommend her and Planet Orange highly enough.

I received great service from Sophia, the Planet Orange technician, for a rodent issue I was having at my house. Sophia was extremely professional and knowledgeable about pest behavior, areas of activity, addressing access points and shoring them up. Her service was very comprehensive. I came away with an awareness and ability to help minimize future pest issues thanks to Sophia’s knowledge sharing! A sincere thanks to Sophia and Planet Orange!

I am having an issue with mouse activity in a downstairs bedroom. My sister has tried humane traps and peppermint oil as a deterrent but the problem has persisted. So, I called Planet Orange. I had used them for termite treatment and yearly follow up inspections and had been happy with their knowledgeable service. I got a quick reply, was informed of the treatment options and scheduled the service appointment. Sophia Rodriquez, the service technician, was very professional and an expert in how to look for and plug access points. She inspected the whole house assessing areas of vulnerability and gave a very comprehensive service. I was educated in the process and will now take the appropriate action to maintain a mouse resistant environment. Mant thanks to Sophia and Planet Orange!
