We have a Golden Retriever and a standard Labradoodle that we bring here for the grooming. We follow our groomer, Vicky, wherever she is. She is the BEST and our dogs LOVE her. Coco has extreme separation anxiety when apart from Bella and he is better there they do their best to accommodate him and relieve his stress. They are so kind and understanding. Not to mention both dogs come home looking fabulous and happy. Highly recommend this location.

The service was fine. However I disliked the lack of customer service from Victor. Very abrasive and I felt upsold, rushed and judged for the treatments or lack of treatments I was providing for my dog. He had plenty of information, but I felt icky interacting with him. I ended up paying more than I should have for a bath and nail trim. Information overload and I was feeling uncomfortable. My dog isn't well behaved, but he's still a sweet boy. I just needed to get his nails trimmed and have him bathed asap. Petco on Meridian was able to take my dog same day, but we won't be returning.

Cayla is awesome! They helped my mom, sister-in-law, and I shop for Christmas presents for the family dogs. They helped us so much, explained every toy to us, and helped us find toys to work with each breed. Love them! Thanks!

Vicky the groomer in this Meridian location is an excellent groomer for my Bailey. We followed her wherever she goes. Bailey is very delicate and sensitive to other people. And hardly trust groomers. She used to go to other pet salon for a long time until one incident that we don't know and Bailey refused to go back to that place. Until we found Vicky from petco she loves her so much that we follow Vicky whatever Petco location she goes. I told Vicky baileys sensitivity the first time she groomed her and it seems that Bailey likes her that we continue taking her back. But because Bailey only trusted Vicky so we followed Vicky when she transferred to other location. So giving 5 stars on Vicky at meridian location because happy fur baby, happy fur parents.

Shoutout to the new groomer Vickita! She was very welcoming and she did an amazing job on my babygirl. She even put little accessories on my baby that nobody really does anymore. If I could recommend a groomer, it would definitely be her because not only did she do an amazing makeover on my baby, but she also signed me up for a program where I save nearly 30 bucks every time I come in for grooming. Win win type of situation for me and my wallet lol. Thanks for your services Petco.

JUST DONT COME HERE. This place is terrible. Not only have I bought 3 aquatic animals from this place and they all had some disease. One fish had fin disease, another had a parasite, and the other one came dead. The aquatic guy was so rude I was just telling him what fish I wanted since there was so many fish in the tanks and he was like "I know" every time. Also the blonde cashier guy smelled heavy of cigarettes he seemed like he was on some kind of drug.

It wasn't the store it was the vetco i took my dog to get his vaccines be done and he has never had them and the other lady who was here was holding him she was so hard on him and she would let me grab his paws to calm him down and he was calm and after the told me in a rude tone "don't hold his paws i can't hold him correctly" it was bothering her at all and i don't know her name but she had green curly hair and super rude wouldn't go back even for a check up and after all they tried to give him peanut butter and i kept on repeating he doesn't like and they wouldn't listen and just basically ignored me but anyways that petco is already just not that vetco place

I don't like the petco in sanjose off branham and Meridian I have experience alittle not helpful people when I came there I didn't know where the guinea pig food was I ask a sales person and he was kind of rude only pointing to where it was without showing me they seem to be racist I am black i have experience twice of how they are not friendly people working there need better service smiles and to show u where things are anyway need better service I go their cause it closer to my home

Sad service. We were in there as a family shopping and wanted to surprise our daughter with a hamster and supplies. Spent a good hour and had about $150 worth in our cart. While we were looking around, our daughter wanted to write the team a "thank you" note at the table they had set up. She thought it was a nice gesture since the store had no one in it. As she was writing an employee rudely told her she should not be messing around at that table and the supplies. The employee then remained standing next to my daughter and husband to shoo them away and pretended like she was looking for stuff under table. I witnessed all this since I was at the hamster cage picking the one we were about to get. No one offered any help but were so quick to judge a kid. Maybe if she had offered help she would have gotten some compliments and a sale.

This Petco is in an older location. They have everything I need when we go. I have 17 various lizards from around the world and their care to me is top notch. When I go to the stores the animal information or the supplies too meet the needs of various species. It's definitely not ok for inexperienced staff to talk about these lizards like they know the care. It's how they die. They are getting slightly better about not sell to people who are making impulse purchases but the staff should be versed in the proper care of each individual species. Please do better petco on staff training. It's not their fault it's yours.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I've been getting all my pets that I've ever had food and supplies here for years. Ever since the early 2000's. Some employees have been here for over a decade and they are the nicest, welcoming people I've ever known. Even to call me by name when I walk in. I again would give this store 10 stars if I could. Steven, Natalie, and Ashley have been here the longest. Be sure to ask for them when you are in, or if you have any questions about any of the animals. But then again, these same people have trained a wonderful staff over the years of their knowledge of these animals. So anyone would help you if needed!

I don't often leave negative reviews, but when I do they tend to be scathing. That's how I'm feeling about Petco Dog Training and especially the trainer Lori. Let me preface with my Pup Thea who is high energy and quite the handful. Lori was quite confident that she could take on the pup and convinced me to sign up for her class. When we showed up it was a different story. Lori was judging us to the point where we felt uncomfortable. It clear she has knowledge, but her objectives seem to be to validate her knowledge rather than connect the dots. Her suggestion after the first class was that we should leave the class and send our dog to doggy day care. Then I had to call her after the class to basically beg her to give us a second chance. Unfortunately the next week our dog had surgery and needed to miss the next class. I asked her for the class homework and she refused. The next class I came by and asked for the homework (dog was still unable to join) and she said her policy is to give homework only to dogs who attend class. That was the final straw. If you want to train your dog, look elsewhere. Waste of time dealing with this opinionated lady who can't get out of her own way!

Update: Diana reached out and offered to make-up for the issue. I really appreciate her doing that more than words can say, my dog is very special to me and diana made sure she was taken care of and i was happy as well.

This review has nothing to do with Petco. Petco is a great store! This review is for the Vetco clinics inside Petco. I have 2 pups that I have scheduled 4 appts since Jan 2023. They send reminders, they send confirmations, they send paper work to fill out ahead of time. THEN the day of each appt I had scheduled they send a confirmation early the morning of the appt and then a bit later receive a cancellation text. What the heck. I can understand maybe once, but 4 times. Come on, get it together. Both of my dogs now are late for vaccines, one is late on Rabies, the other heart worm test and meds. I have even called twice and end up talking to some associate that could care less...Vetco has lost my business and I will not refer. The ONLY REASON they received 1 star is because they wouldn't let me post without clicking at least one star

I have been to the store several times and compared to other stores, customer service is better at this location. Employees ask if I need help and follow through with the help that I asked for. As for the Pet Salon, my dogs had a few groomers there. They are all nice and professional. One issue with Petco is that they don't allow customers to make an online appt. for nail-only service online. Petco's website says it's a walk-in service but the salon requires an appt. I have to call the salon and leave a message so that somebody can call me back to schedule a nail-clipping appt. Many times, I didn't even get a callback. What a hassle to call back and forth for a simple appointment. Then one day, I happened to talk to a groomer named Ren and complained about this issue. She was very friendly and understood the issue. Ever since then she always responds back to schedule my dog's nail clipping appt. Ren goes above and beyond and has a customer-friendly attitude. That's what makes me come back to this Petco Salon. Of course, she's gentle and loving to my fur babies who hate nail trimming. I will be coming back to this Petco location.
