Leasing/office staff are deceptive and vindictive.I lived here for just about 2 years. An otherwise okay place brought down by horrible staff and substantial rent prices. Look elsewhere!Examples of staff:-Removing gate code access when I gave my notice to move out-Glee of staff when describing that literally everyone gets the full cleaning fee, even a woman who OWNED a cleaning company-When first visiting, was given offer which was good for a week. When calling to accept later that day, was told it was expired.-Car towed while paying for permit, which they only gave me after weeks and me complaining about my car getting towed.Maintenance guy was pretty solid though.

I wanted to give a shout out to Sandra. I recently got my car towed out of my parking spot because I didn’t have my parking permit displayed. She reached out to me and agreed to reimburse me for half of the amount. That’s pretty reasonable since I did forget to display my permit. On top of her helping out with the reimbursement, she is also in the process of helping us transfer to a unit we’ve been interested in. At first, we were told we had to pay a pretty big amount in order to transfer, but she re-calculated everything and got it down significantly. No discounts involved, but is implementing the proper process for us. I appreciate her taking the time to hear me vent and to talk me through the transfer step by step. This is the type of service all companies need.Thank you Sandra for hearing me out and actually helping me.

I looked at Palma Sorrento a year ago and loved it. I waited too long to apply and the apartment I was eyeing was no longer available so I rented elsewhere. I hated where I ended up. Fast forward 12 months, when my lease was coming up for renewal, and an apartment at Palma Sorrento became available. I jumped at the opportunity to apply and everything went smoothly with the walk through and the application process. I love my new spacious apartment.

My apartment came with a reserved carport spot. My car was in the shop over the weekend and the shop gave me a loaner, so my hand tag was in my car in the shop, and my loaner was towed out of my reserved car port on a Sunday night. The loaner was there Friday and Saturday night, towed on Sunday. Fees of over $375 to get the car out of the tow lot. Was told by the towing company that the management called my car in to get towed. Management at Palma Sorrento never picks up the phone, is unresponsive, and tows peoples vehicles out of their reserved spots. Dozens of cars sit in the lots every day without a hang tag, yet I get towed without notice when I'm occupying my own spot. I'm extremely disappointed about the personnel working at Palma Sorrento.Other residents also have been towed from the lot, while their vehicles were registered with Palma Sorrento but forgot to put the hang tag up in their car.Follow up: they offered to give me credit for half the cost of the tow. I appreciate the willingness to at least come part of the way to compensate for the inconvenience.I have enjoyed living at Palma Sorrento as it is a quiet, safe community, but have consistently been wishing that management was more present and easier to communicate with.

I'll start with the fact that I lived at the community for 3 years and just recently moved out. The view we had was amazing and the apartment was upgraded with decent appliances. I usually had an easy time dealing with maintenance issues. The garage was a decent size but I always had people park in front of it as they do not have signs that state cars shouldn't park in front of the garage. In one incidence I had a car park in front of my garage , so I couldn't get my car out, the office person said " I can give you a temporary parking pass to park outside in the first come first serve parking", like HELLO my car was blocked inside the garage. The car was there for a few hours, they supposedly tow cars but the office person wouldn't do it. So if I had an emergency oh well. We've had things stolen from our front patio, and cars at night continuously Rev their engines and race down the street my apartment faced. When away for vacation my car (which was parked outside the gates) got hit/totaled due to some drunk driver, luckily there was someone who saw the incident and reported it. Overall my time there wasn't the worst but beware that once you move out and they send you all these INFLATED prices regarding your last move out statement YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET AHOLD OF ANYONE. I've tried and tried to email and call the numbers they gave me so I could go over the breakdown with someone and understand why I received the charges they billed and absolute silence. The office staff say it's no longer they're department that deals with it so now I'm stuck figuring out next steps regarding charges that I do NOT agree with. Please beware, this apartments looks beautiful but their business practices are terrible.

Wow still have got an answer on why the color of choice. James if you are the manager need to first answer the issue I post here. You don't need to find me in your data base because I am not in the lease so instead explain why this complex looks like Alcatraz

I’ve been living at Palma Sorrento for more years than I can count on my fingers and Herminio has always been dependable to get the job done. There hasn’t been any issues he could not fix. He’s a very knowledgeable and efficient maintenance supervisor. I’d like to thank him and his team for all their hard work around the properties.

We've lived at Palma Sorrento for many years. Our family has always been able to count on Hermin when it comes to any repairs. Recently, our water heater stopped working on a Sunday. Hermin once again came quickly and fixed it on his day off. Palma is also in the process of re-painting all of the exteriors and the property looks amazing.

I had a lovely experience touring this property and leasing a beautiful apartment with Genille. She was friendly, personable, and found me the perfect apartment that best suited my needs. Such exceptional customer service! Thank you so much for all your help and securing me a new place to call home Genille!

Awful administration that takes advantage of residents at every opportunity. Ridiculous fees and price increases

My wife and I have lived here for 2 years now and we really like it. For having a large 1 bedroom and garage the price is great.During the pandemic they were a little short staffed in the resident office and it was hard to reach them, but it has gotten better since 2021.The biggest plus is their maintenance team. Usually Herminio Perez helps us out and he is always professional, gets the job done quickly and correctly. Their response is almost always next day and sometimes day of. Today, we made a request and in 1 hour we had Emanual Hernandez come in and fix it. They need to give those guys raises if they havent already. We recommend this place to anyone looking in south San Jose

I've lived here for 7+ years now, and there's been a big shift in quality since covid. Let me preface first that maintenance isn't the problem. They're awesome, and Herman keeps this place up and running. I can't imagine living here without that awesome person. They no longer have anyone on site in management, since covid they stopped doing tours and are instead just... giving keys to random people who then wander around the complex, lost. If you have a problem, you need to call some main office that's miles away from where you are living, and it's a slog. Our AC bill is $300 with nothing plugged in, due to everything being old. When I first moved in, back with old management, they were personable, helpful, and went out of their ways to help those that lived here. Now, it's an apathetic entity running business. (excluding maintenance, they're still doing a great job)

Booked a self guided tour for the only day I was going to be in the bay area. Showed up only to find the leasing office was locked and got no instructions for the tour. Tried calling but no response. Highly unprofessional management.

I just moved in this week, and everything has been awesome!I moved into this home sight unseen with the assistance of Araceli, who helped me. The self guided tour process was easy and convenient. Thanks again for helping me find the perfect home! The resident relations team has been very responsive and has communicated with me every step of the way, shout out to Robyn, Leslie and Destanie for making my move in as stress free as possible for my family. On my first day, I was assured that I made the right decision moving here as the apartment and garage parking were cleaned, with nothing missed. Shoutout to the maintenance team here, Leo, Manny, and Martin, who are an awesome team! The community cleanliness is next level here and is something to be proud of.If you are looking for a great community in a great area, look no further!

Palma Sorrento is an amazing community. I really like the team here especially Jose from leasing office, Destanie Silva from community relations and Herminio Perez who is the maintenance person.I moved in a week ago and I love it here so far. My colleague/friend recommended Palma Sorrento to me. My wife and I love this place since the tour. It was admirable to see how helpful the entire team was during the process.Destanie Silva helped co-ordinate our move-in. She is very sweet, kind and patiently explained the entire process and answered all of my questions. She even helped me create maintenance request once I moved in. She worked with her manager multiple times to get my friend half referral credit for referring me to the community. I had missed including his name during the tour. I really wish they give him full referral credit because he deserves it.When we moved-in, there were some minor issues around the house. The maintenance person Herminio Perez is amazing. He's multitalented, very efficient and fast in fixing various issues in the house. I'm super impressed and happy with his talent and skills. Once a ticket is created, he comes within a day/two and fixes all the issues to the best of his abilities.Jose from the leasing office listened to my pain of missing the original price of the lease due to some issue. He was very accommodative and offered the original lease term based on the date when I confirmed through text that I'll be leasing with them. This helped me enter the community with a very happy mindset rather than being upset about the price.Chris helped us book tours multiple times which was helpful for us as we wanted to be sure that we like the place before deciding to move-in. Chris also answered our questions.
