First time shopping in a physical Madewell store location. I love their jeans but was having difficulty ordering the correct size. Did some back/forth online, which was a great experience as well, but figured it was time to just visit a store while traveling to find something that fit well. John was amazing! Knew everything about the different types of jeans and how the various versions would fit me better than others. He also continuously brought me pairs to try until I found the perfect fit. He was super friendly and courteous the entire time. Employees like him make for a great shopping experience for someone who is often lost like I am. Thanks again for all of your help John!

Jean shopping can be such a daunting task--especially for a curvy girl. We have to deal with inconsistencies when it comes to size inclusivity, judge-y looks from store patrons and sales associates, and not to mention the overstimulation from spending time shopping. I have to say both of my experiences at Madewell have changed my overall shopping experience. The employees are always on their game; from their demeanor, timing of when to check in, educated knowledge on the products, and overall good vibes, I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Madewell hires great humans and it's clear that they are trained for success!

Excellent customer service (hi Blaire and Victoria)! One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Staff is warm, attentive, and helpful while providing space to freely browse without hovering. Also, they don’t make you feel pressured to buy and are also gracious if returns need to be made. It is the most welcoming atmosphere to shop a lot.

I love this place. They have comfortable fitting clothing for a dad bod :-) I buy t-shirts sweaters and all kinds of casual wear at this place. Great quality reasonable prices great service.

I just had the best shopping experience I’ve ever had at this store. Alyssa and Amy were so helpful and kind. Everyone working there was smiling and seemed genuinely happy to be there, which is so nice to have in a shopping experience. The store was super busy, and yet their system with the dressing rooms was easy and smooth. I had to return a couple things and exchange and use some old store credit I had - all of it went wonderfully. Thank you ladies for making my day!

Came in to browse the men's section, looking for a pair of jeans. Went to the counter and asked a question - associates acted like I was some wild pokemon they never seen in their life. noted and let them know that their service is equivalent to a child demanding for their toy back

I was in need of switching out of my skinny jeans to a pair of flattering mom jeans, luckily I met Blaire who dropped everything to give me 5 star treatment. She explained the difference between the different pairs of jeans, catered to me personally so I never even had to leave the fitting room, and kindly exchanged my jeans even tho I had taken the tags off. I walked out with two pairs that I absolutely LOVE, thank you blaire :)

I never post, but I wanted the world to know--Blaire is a GEM. I spent a week feeling horrible about my short, curvy body, trying to shop for new pants, and Blaire took all the stress away! She's so knowledgeable, picked just the right sizes and shapes to fit my body, and I could have never done this in such a stress-free way. AND, I actually FEEL good in them, which I never say about my clothes! Thank you, Blaire, for helping me! I'd follow this girl for styling tips anywhere!

I love shopping at madewell because I get most of my clothes here but my past visit here made me rethink how I felt about the store. A kind store associate helped me pick out a pair of jeans for me and noted that because they have the denim donation promotion and I didn't have a pair on me to donate. She said I could come back within 7 days with the jeans and get $20 back. So I gash purchased my jeans with the intention of coming back to donate my jeans. I came in Around noon on Wednesday and waited in line for about 10 minutes while someone was being helped. Finally another lady came to help me and when I told her about getting the price adjustment she looked quite upset stating that they don't have this policy and Im not allowed to get a price adjustment. The lady made me feel so uncomfortable and awkward to a point where I didn't know what to say. I drove 45 minutes specifically to come to this store to do a price adjustment. The lady said she would make an exception for me this time but would not do this again. It wasn't my fault that this occurred but it definitely felt like she was blaming me for believing the previous sales associate..

Last week I came by to purchase a dress and the customer service I received from Davianna was good she was helpful and nice. But today I ended up doing a return because I forgot to use a gift card I received a couple weeks ago and when I did my return today it was so bad. I initially walked in and was not greeted. Instead I knew I was ready to make a return and stop in the line in front of the register and Victoria and her associate said, "Do you have a question?" It wasn't phrased the best way but that's okay. So she told someone behind the counter who looked busy and was on the phone to help me with my return but she said she was in the middle of an interaction with a customer so Victoria took a whole minute before deciding to help me with my return. Then she asked for my receipt and I gave her my email copy and it looked like she didn't know what to do because she just kept swiping up and down and then finally Rheana came in and asked if she could assist and Victoria handed me over to her without saying anything. And rheana initially thought I was there to make a purchase because the handoff was so bad because there was just zero communication between the two. Anyway, Rheana was nice and helped me make my return. I was just disappointed on how Victoria handled the interaction. The two stars are for Davianna and Rheana.

To the lady manning the door in her oversized blazer on 7/3/22. You are are of the worst examples of customer service. From the pulling the door away from customers to then quietly exclaim "we're closed" or the inabilty to open the door for a mother with a stroller as she attempts to exit your store and then to not even acknowledge a person when they look you in the face and speak to you. You ignored me when i was right in front of you and pretended i didnt exist. Retail is not for you. You belong behind a desk somewhere your personal interactions are via email so you can fake your human gestures get out now. Madewell fire this person.

Organized and good customer service. But clothing is not same quality as years ago. Look cheap and weird shape. I can't find anything attractive to buy, and price is too high comparing with other brands. Bags are nice though.

I had an amazing experience yesterday thanks to Margarita. I have came to this store several times in the past and usually encounter "mean girl" associates as another girl mentioned in the reviews. However, Margarita made my visit pleasant and even gave me useful tips. I walked in a couple minutes before the store closed and the cashier was quite upset but Margarita was sweet, patient, and very helpful.
