I ended up here back in 1997 and they really tried their best but with such limited resources and my heroin addiction it was impossible for real sustainable solutions. I am now 20yrs clean and sober and wish I could go back to thank the staff who treated me as well as they did.

I was homeless in 1995 & on my own for the first time. This is a wonderful place to get on your feet. Good food and clean place. They definitely help you get on your feet. They helped me get my first apartment in 1996.

I'd give a zero star rating if I could. Here's why: If you like eating a meal where ratts often frequent and birds often congregate. Where the fecal matter of the birds are left on the table or if you want to be a bedbugs snack or catch a case of COVID and maybe even other infectious diseases. If you don't mind being treated subhumanly, ask to move there. Going from the street to there You'll be Just as miserable and not get any help with your situation. My Case manager, Kenya was too focused on her school to really help. Also, for a place that has a mission statement to end homelessness, they really don't seem to have information for you. I ended up discovering resources on my own. Something is definitely amiss there. It's often filthy and managed poorly. When you go to place for help and come out worse something needs to be addressed. If any other agencies or advocates for helping the homeless read this I implore you NOT EVER to refer your clients to any LifeMoves facilities. If the one who's charter is to help the mental health homeless can't do the basics I can only imagine how the other places are.If any city, county or state agency is reading this investigate this organization. There's very little housing help here in San Jose for someone to get into this place and discover it's a pig sty and most staff are only concerned with themselves. It sad.Any potential or current donors I also ask that you give to the Sobrato foundation or PATH or any other organizations that will actually put your contribution to use.Shame on you LifeMoves for being a farce. Negative 3 stars is my true rating ... ...

This organization is great. They really help the homeless and do all that they can for the community here in the Bay Area. This location is wonderful as well and they help so many people here.
